The Vuhifellian Federation has its roots in the continent of Vuhifell, however, the continents of Aurelia and Leasath have had a major impact on Vuhifellian history as well.

According to Vuhifellian archeologists, mankind is believed to have originated in the western regions of the Aurelian continent over 60,000 years ago whilst it was still connected to the Leasath and Anean continent. The continent of Vuhifell is widely believed to have been connected to this supercontinent via a land bridge that disappeared underneath the Spring Sea over 10,000 years ago. Scholars believe a drought stretching from the modern day Jilachi desert all the way to Helghan may have caused a mass migration towards the lush Vuhifellian continent. Judging from relics found in the western regions of the Vuhifellian continent and the similarities between the local Helghan language and the Kazach language, many in Vuhifell believe this theory to be accurate and representative of how the Vuhifellian continent was first populated.

However, up until the year 1577, the Vuhifellian continent was made up of nothing but primitive tribes vying for power and control over the various rich farmlands that dotted the continent. It was not until the year 1576, when the Emperor of the Aurelian Union commissioned explorers to circumnavigate the globe that the empires of the Leasath and Aurelian continents were able to discover the Anean and Vuhifellian continents.

Quickly siezing the vast economic opportunites for themselves, the Leasath and Aurelian empires quickly established vast colonies and puppet kingdoms across the two new continents. The Leasath Empire had conquered most of the Anean continent by military means, however, the Aurelian Union used more civil methods of pacifying the native Vuhifellians, and the colonies of East Point, Valgan, Tylian, Comona, and Greykan came to be. With the various colonial factions vying for ever-increasing power on the Vuhifellian continent as time wore on, Vuhifellian natives became more and more disgruntled. To combat these grievances, the Emperor of the Aurelian Union issued the Edict of Mandagar, which officially gave the Aurelian Union legal basis to incorporate the entire Vuhifellian continent into their empire.

This might have been the end had it not been for the epic Aurelian-Leasath Imperial Wars. These wars, fought from between 1619 and 1645 greatly weakened both major empires and eventually led to their downfall. The losses incurred by the Leasath Empire forced them to abandon many of their colonies, depriving them of valuable sources of income. Meanwhile, the debts incurred by the Aurelian Union forced them to cover the costs of the war not through war reparations - for the Leasath Empire could never pay them back - decided to levy great taxes on their colonies throughout the Aurelian and Vuhifellian continents.

By the year 1670, Aurelia's debts were not yet paid off, and she began to invade the small, wealthy kingdoms bordering her in order to plunder their gold supplies. The effort failed, however, when the Aurelian Emperor suddenly died in the midst of the invasions, leaving no clear successor to the throne. Without a leader and fighting multiple wars across the entirety of her realm, the Aurelian Union collapsed on August 1, 1671.

After the collapse of the Aurelian Union, the inhabitants of Vuhifell suddenly found themselves without any central government. Within three months of the collapse of the Aurelian Union, all five major colonies on Vuhifell: East Point, Valgan, Tylian, Comona, and Greykan all declared their independence and started what is now known as the War of Succession and Independence.

Even in this war, two major superpowers emerged. East Point, backed by wealthy eastern merchants and what was left of the Leasath Empire, began a campaign of conquest along the eastern islands and the northern tundra.

Greykan, backed by native Vuhifellians the continent over for its dedication to the Kazan faith was able to establish spies and fifth columns in a majority of her smaller foes. Their conquests eventually led to the Kazan State of Greykan, which would come to control the west coast, the south coast, and the heartland.

By the year 1689, war between these two Vuhifellian superpowers became inevitable, and on March 25, 1690, the Republic of East Point declared war on the Kazan State of Greykan. This, of course, can be found in any Vuhifellian history book; however, what is not generally known by the Vuhifellian public is that a third movement began to spring up during the early engagements between these two superpowers: the Vuhifellian National Army (VNA).

While the VNA is now known as a former terrorist organization of the 1970's, back in the 1690's it was an organization of patriots across Vuhifell: merchant and native alike, who wished to see the continent united. However, these fighters did not swear allegiance to either superpower in their goals. Greykan, if it won the war, would undoubtedly become a theocratic state and, although East Point would remain a republic after the war, there would be no guarantee that it would not whore itself off to the Leasath Empire in order to restore its former glory. On July 17, 1695, in what is now Golden Skies City, two massive armies from both Greykan and East Point came to meet in battle.

The Battle of the Golden Plain, as it was known, caused 78,000 casaulties and lasted for seventeen days and by the end of it, left the armies of both nations in tatters. Beaten and broken, both nations agreed to sign a peace treaty in the city of Comberth, on the border of the two nations in the southeastern jungle in the next year.

And on July 10, 1696, when the leaders of both nations met with the intent of formally ending the war and dividing the continent, the VNA struck. It had infiltrated both nations in the past year, raising troops and establishing a vast shadow government that was the de facto central government over much of the otherwise lawless heartland. The city of Comberth was taken without much resistance and the battle only caused a few thousand casaulties, but it was essential in establishing the Vuhifellian Federation. After the battle, the commanders of the VNA armies publicly executed Maester Foras III of Greykan and Regent Lord Sovereign Henry Schneider of East Point. Victorious, the commanders of the VNA agreed upon four generals to lead the new Republic of Vuhifell.

These four individuals would eventually found the Four Great Families of Vuhifell, regarded in modern Vuhifellian society as demi-gods. For the next four years, these four individuals governed until the Vuhifellian Constitution was drafted in the year 1700, thereby establishing the Vuhifellian Federation.

As a result of this, their legislation tends to be far-reaching and extremely effective when a Republican president is in office.
Major Issues: Constitutional law review, civil liberties, protection of minorities, expansion of existing federal programs, government efficiency, technological supremacy.

They attempt to pass their ideals through executive orders and Supreme Council Edicts if possible. If not, then heated debates and compromises are in store with the Republicans.
Major Issues: Constitutional law review, fiscal responsibility, military supremacy, stronger judiciary, lower taxes, economic efficiency, elimination of government waste.
