As part two of the Heirosoloa Revitalization Project, Heirosoloa will publish a public guide to the country and how it is run, more commonly known as a national factbook. The factbook is intended as a guide to Heirosoloa for foreign governments who seek to create ties with our fair country, and therefore would most likely want to know more about us on the Heirosoloan Archipelago. The factbook will cover a variety of different pieces of Heirosoloan culture, from the Royal Bees, to why we have become a naval based country (besides the obvious fact that we are an island).

[--The Country--]

Heirosoloa is a relatively small group of islands located off the coast of the region known as the Alliance of the Magical Forest, a collection of nations dedicated to protecting the Magical Forests of Heirot, the general region of NSEarth in which they are located. Heirosoloa is divided into two 'islands' (Actually one) connected by a small land bridge, known as the Bridge of Heirosoloa. The only colony is the small autonomous island of Oliss, which hasn't been annexed into official Heirosoloa because of a respect for the people living there.
The north island is generally icy and mountainous, and has a large fishing market and contains most of the larger cities, while the generally unexplored Southern island is tropical, with large rain forests. All cities are located on the coast, as for easy trade and military help from the other nearby cities. Each island has it's own Minister, who reports to the High Royal Minister.

[--The Government--]

Heirosoloa is a left leaning nation with a slight focus on economy and civil rights. The government is headed by the High Royal Minister, who is reported to by the ministers of each island. While there is indeed a noble class, the highest are on par with the wealthy businessmen, the lowest are usually slightly richer and less modest middle class families.

[--The Culture--]

Heirosoloa was once divided into three separate entities. You had the Olissian Empire, akin to the Nordic Race, you had the various jungle tribes who would eventually coalesce and become the Hand of God, and you had the Guardians, you somehow managed to keep the Hand of God and the Olissian Empire from invading each other (Mainly by repeatedly beating up any force who tried to use the Bridge of Heirosoloa to invade the other empire). Each entity has its own rich and flavorful history and culture, each greatly affected by their environment.
Although Heirosoloa is generally non-religious, still a small group of people have grown to great fame for tending a sacred group of honeybees. Known as the Royal Honeycomb, this group raises and trains a small exotic breed of honeybees, which, instead of making honey, make a liquid that has been nicknamed 'Ambrosia,' after the famous Greek liquid the gods drank, that supposedly made you immortal. This group of bees, however, does more than make delicious ambrosia. They supposedly are also able to foretell events such as the weather, the future, and even war, and perform strange dances when an event is predicted. However, this has never been proven to work, and some Heirosoloans are skeptical of the power of these bees.

Music;
-Music is a celebrated art in Heirosoloa, with a strong base for both classical and contemporary music. However, heavy metal and the like is generally frowned upon by the populace, but it still has a a solid fan base and thus continues, even with the revulsion by some of the older population.
Art;
-Art is a talent usually received with mixed reviews among the common citizen. It is seen as a soothing hobby that doubles as decoration making for your home, but not really much of a job. Artists are seen as lazy, useless citizens and generally encouraged to go and get a 'real' job that would make some more money.

[--The Citizen--]

Heirosoloans are, once again, divided into northerners and southerners. Citizens from North Island are taller and paler, with pale skin and lighter hair. However, Heirosoloans from the extreme north are dark skinned, black haired, with surprisingly light eyes. People from far north Heirosoloa are also somewhat shorter than their fare skinned neighbors to the south. Citizens from the western portion of South Island are also dark, but taller and generally skinny and muscular. People from Western South Island are widely recognized to be very fast and usually athletic, and able to jump higher, making them a prime choice for the Heirosoloan Inter-Island Olympic Team. Folk from the eastern, desert portion are a mix of dark Western South Islanders and pale skinned descendants from Olissian colonists, with the younger generations being a mix of both.

[--The Future--]

The government of the Allied States of Heirosoloa has completed in it's conquest of the world, using a mix of warfare and diplomacy to establish rule. With the reach of the space age, new technologies allow for the newly established planet to create colonies further and further away. However, the government has split into two defined factions. One is a theocratic federation heavily investing in colonizing more planets, whereas the other is a firmly liberal empire more interested in investing in technology to defend the planets it already has.

The Grand Heirosoloan Empire begins by denoting most of it's resources to securing the home world, which it succeeds in, because of it's highly advanced, yet small, army. But the federation does not give up, and the warring factions turns to crude, outdated, nuclear weaponry to destroy their foe. Soon, the home world becomes a lifeless, radioactive planet forced into nuclear winter. Horrified, the factions forge an uneasy peace.

Years later, and because of it's advantage in raw resources, an effect of the many untouched colonies it has, the High Federation of Heirosoloa turns it's planet's closest to the galactic border into a war machine, and massive behemoths of battleships cross over to destroy it's opponent. they soon begin destroying Imperial forces simply because of their larger numbers, leaving only an entrenched Imperial home world under harsh Federation rule behind.

But as time goes on, the remnants of the Grand Empire secretly begins using it's more advanced technology to create sleeker, faster ships, to combat the crude heavy armor of the Federation's warships. They throw the Federation's occupation of their home world off, and attempt to retake their colonies again. Locked in a deadly struggle, the Grand Empire slowly wins it's planets back, forcing the factions back into a deadlock.
