The world stage is changing and we haven't really convened in a looong time so let's take things into perspective and figure out what we're going to do.
President R.L. looked at the message, deep in thought. There was no question of whether or not he would respond or join: he wouldn't. A democracy such as the Dominion could not embrace imperialist ideals. Though it would be foolhardy to believe the world wasn't shrinking.
Since the disbanding of the CAD alliance, the Dominion and a handful of former powers parted ways with Doomingsland and dropped off the map only to reemerge as the United Defense Directorate. While not a tiny alliance, it was very small and the prudent choice was to stay low on the radar of the true power players in the world. Now, with the UDD's international activity at almost zero, and the expansion of this empire out of Gholgoth, R.L. felt it was time to take things into perspective.
One thing was clear: they couldn't remain hidden forever. And as the shadows of an empire loomed ever larger, it was time to call the members together and discuss matters. Diplomatic channels had already been opened and the Dominion, and by proxy the UDD, had an embassy in Automagfreek. It was time to assemble the Directorate. Slowly, he picked up the phone.
