CM-8 Speargun

Defense Corporations
15-01-2009, 20:54
Introduction: The Speargun is a variant on the famous Kh-35 'Harpoonski,' designed for launch from a torpedo tube or underwater VLS. It encapsulates a slightly enlarged Kh-35 with a modified guidance system in a small container designed for submerged launch. The missile has a slightly larger warhead and slightly longer range than the Kh-35, and uses the Kh-59MK's 36MT turbofan.

CM-8 guidance: The Speargun uses active radar homing, inertial guidance and GPS guidance to get to the target, flying as a sea-skimming missile; when it nears the target, it switches to terminal guidance, using home-to-jam and the radar homing head to guide it to the target.
