The Urutapu Socialist Unity Party had a small membership of 300 citizens but only 30 could fit inside the Ahiahi movie theatre where the makeshift parliament sat. Cameron was speaking and his speech was being beamed live over the islands Radio Station.

"None of us here are for dictatorship or the creation of a terror or police state. We are socialist in as much as we are for the Moral Economy and have a laft leaning approach to international affairs. We are trying to find a system that is best for us and we will not be some stereotype or forced to fit into some kind of mould that the people do not want. I am also not in support of autocratic rule and I believe people should be allowed to have thier own opinions and views herd. A constitution is being drafted at the moment. I assure everyone that the constitution allows freedom of religion and free speech and freedom to strike and demonstration. Basic freedoms I dont believe any government has the right to take away. The Socialist Unity Party is so far the only party in the country and its important that in our government we represent more then just one idea or group which is why I am fully in support of other parties to work along side the SUP, Thankyou"

The theatre erupted in applause.

Later on that day a Maori man walked into the White 3 story administrators building which was now called "Government Offices" This Maori man was Tane Turia and in his late 50's

"This is my application to create the Urutapu Maori Peoples Party. I already have 5 other members and I would like to start this party up" he said

A women grabbed the applicaiton from the man which was a sheet of paper with his party emblem, membership information and values

After 10 minutes the women returned and stamped an approved on the application and was granted one seat in the Parliament

later on one other party were approved
The Urutapu Environmentalist Party which was again only given one seat in the 30 seat parliament.

Cameron then announced that once the Constitution has been completed and released to the public a date for elections will be held.

The Edmund Pioneers have also just been created, a youth group operating like the Young Pioneers in Communist Nations
Edmund Hillary is a national hero to the people of New Zealand even to thoughs on the Island of Urutapu. He climbed mount everest. Served his nation in World War 2 and donated to charities and even built schools in Nepal. He was an inspirational man and so the Edmund Pioneers have been named in his honor. The Uniform of the Edmund Pioneers is a plain white top with a green neckerchief and dark green shorts.

To the International Community and other Socialist Nations in particular

We know many socialist nations might call our brand of socialism questionable but we want to try something new and do things our own way. The Leading influence of the Socialist Unity Party has been enforced with pledges of loyalty from the new parties and they also vow to work closly with us to better the lives of our people. If you do not consider us socialist at least consider us as Left Wing.

I see what you are doing, which my country has done, you chose the true path of Socialism, so for that, I would like to extend a hand of cooperation and friendship, I would love to work closely with you in the future

To the Soviet system.

I am glad we are not alone in following this different brand of socialism and taking this particular path to becoming a workers paradise.
We are also fully in support of working closly with each other. As a very tiny and insignificant nation we cant contribute much economically or influentially but we hope that the brand of socialism we use can be looked upon more favourable with the west and let them know that there is an alternative to the oppressive systems which so far have turned many people off ideas of communism. Let us hope that our systems can revitalize the movement and make it popular with the people our land and from other lands.
