One of Astholm's major automobile manufacturers, Fiat-Salbruz, launched the new Sabbia on January 10, 2009.

The Sabbia is based on the Fiat Uno platform but is a size up from the Uno and the styling is slightly different to the Uno or Punto/Grande Punto.

It is available as a three- or five-door hatchback, four-door sedan and five-door wagon.

Engines are 1.0, 1.1, 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6-litre petrol engines, with a choice of 1.7 and 1.9-litre diesel engines, plus a 1.7-litre turbodiesel is available too. (There may be 1.9-litre turbodiesel versions in the future, using the engines from the Fiat-Salbruz Punto and Grande Punto).
