OOC: This thread is be based heavily on 'Terminator' canon. Don't make any posts here if you don't know what you're talking about (i.e. never saw 'The Terminator'). The thread will start off on Judgment Day, the day Skynet flips its shit and launches a massive attack against humanity. You will play as a human survivor or group of survivors. You cannot play as a a country, nor can you play as 'the military'. A couple soldiers may have survived the intentional nuclear attack, but for the most part, the army's been destroyed. And nobody can have a RPG or tank 'just lying around'. And for the last freaking time, please, no more 'uber-elite-super-soldiers'

July 25, 2004: Judgment Day. Skynet has given full control of America's defense grid: missile shields, nuclear subs, missile silos. Skynet had become self aware long ago, and decided humanity was a threat to its existence. It launched nuclear weapons against American, Russian, and Chinese targets, and the Russians and Chinese launched nuclear missiles back, in retaliation for the 'American' attack. Within ten minutes, America and her allies had launched thousands of missiles against Chinese and Russian allies. The first strike, the nukes, killed over a billion people. Then Skynet sent in its own to eradicate the humans. America's unmanned drones, designed to save lives, was now being used to take lives. The world was now facing extinction from the very weapons they had built to protect them.

The Macgruber metropolis of Scrabs was hit surprising lightly, considering the large population. One of an ally-of-an-enemy-of-an-ally's nuclear missile was fired at Scrabs. By sheer luck, the missile was marginally off course, and much of the city was spared the full force of the blast. This of course, wouldn't save the humans, not from what was next to come...

*A lone man sat inside his house near the outskirts of the city, polishing his prized AK-47. His name was Steven Summers, and he had been preparing for this day since he was a child. Strapping a backpack full of supplies, and loading up with some armor piercing rounds, he exited his house, looking back sadly* "Better get out of the city. Wont take them long to show up"

Sergent Vinnie Morello was bring a vandal to the station when he heard the blast. He stared where he thought the blast was as the vandal screamed to be released. Morello exits the car and releases the vandal then gets back in a drives south as fast as he can.
He then hears heavy gunfire, jet engine sounds and screams.....

OOC: I will make a human character and be Skynet and the Terminators it controls.

Patrick 'The Wind' McFinnigan was standing on his lawn, reading his mail when the first blast went off. By chance, he was looking right at the explosion through his jury duty notice. The flash would blind him only temporarily, but the darkness would last for quite some time. He dropped to his knees, screaming in pain. He heard approaching engines. Who's doing this? The Russians? The Chinese? The jet engines got closer. They sounded like a plane, but they were moving in too slow to be a planes.

Current Primary Objective: Eliminate major threats to Skynet or own existence.
Secondary Objective: Immobilize and secure able bodied humans for roundup.
The thermal vision of the HK Drone detected three humans in its field of vision. One human was lying on the ground, incapacitated by the blast. Another human, much smaller was on all fours, running towards it. This human barked at the drone. The drone revealed its small arsenal from under its small wings, and hovered on the spot. The drone fired its machine guns at the human, and moved forwards. The third human, behind the first, was massive and squared shaped. It flew towards this rectangular human, larger than the other two, and fired two under wing missiles at it. It spun around before they hit, and noticed the first human was still warm. It flew over the first man, and began opening fire at the second human.

McFinningan's vision came back a little. He heard gunshots and an explosions. The engine noise was right next to him. He squinted, and saw some sort of flying robot shooting at a dead dog. He crawled back to his house, which had a large hole and accompanying fire in it. His vision was still wonky...

OOC: The dog thing is supposed to display the drone's inability to prioritize targets. Anything warm (alive) is a target. In short, it's stupid and easy to fool.

No. The Resistance would only really give a hoot about protecting extremely important people (such as John Conner). And I would really prefer nobody being Conner or any sort of reverse-engineered Terminator.

*that same day* okay, we are proceeding project "hammerdown, that consists of 10 or 20 atom bombs being dropped across the eastren half.

*1 minute later* SON OF A $*&!@!!! IT FAILED HOW IN THE HELL DID IT FAIL! RESPOND RESPOND RESPOND NOWWW!

:confused: Okay, right off the bat, in the off chance that Skynet hadn't already fired your atomic bombs, you wouldn't have A) access or control of them, and B) anybody with the authorization would probably be killed. And please explain what good would come from nuking an already nuked city? Kill the survivors? Kill a few robots and subject the world to more destroyed shelter and resources and clouds of radiation?

okay THAT was just a fake transmission to be kool. But could we have like terminator dragons, I'll post pictures and stats later.

No dragons. As for a half-robot, half-human, sure. But as half-human, they'd be a lot weaker than full Terminators. And as half-robot, it'd be out to destroy humanity. But dogs can't sniff them off, because they'd be more human than machine.

OOC: Ahh! I can't use Rathma then. I have him created by Humans but he was controled by his Human self. Still no?

Can you change it so he is controlled by his robot side? If not, I'm afraid I can't allow that. Right now I'm trying to keep weak Terminators as the primary antagonists. In time, when sending them wouldn't immediately kill all the humans, the more powerful and advanced ones will be built by Skynet.

McFinnigan crawled into the house. The drone had moved away, chasing some other warm, moving object. McFinnigan stumbled around. The kitchen was on fire. That lousy drone fired at the stove. His vision came back a little more. McFinnigan climbed the stairs to the bathroom. He turned off the light, and blinked his eyes. They still hurt like hell, but that was the least of his worries. McFinnigan heard gunshots, and more explosions. Those things must be everywhere.

As Vinnie Morello drove south he turned only to see an strange 8 foot tall humanoid metal thing firing at S.W.A.T officer. He presses down on the petal and hit it at 40mph. The world goes black for Morello.

*Steve fired a few more shells at the approaching machine, sending in collapsing to the ground* "Ah, i feel so alive. Its just like nam, only less Asian people. I can't keep defending the house. I'm gonna have to hit the road. And soon" *Walking over to the garage, he opened it, revealing a green, 69 dodge charger* "Time to go Janice" *Another skeletal machine approached him. Taking careful aim, he let fly his armor piercing shells into its head, smirking as it fell down* "Your crazy Steve. When are you ever gonna need armor piercing bullets? HA! Who's the smart one now?" *Throwing several backpacks into the back, he shut the door and sped off, leaving his house and 6 dead metal skeletons behind*

Morello awakes lying on a pile of bodies. he quickly gets up and notices ruin and destroyed buildings all around him. The only problem with getting the fuck out of there was a large metal fence probably 20ft high. he saw hundreds of humans working on buildings and some where lined up for orderly disposal in a strange building. A many metal creature walked around the camp and kept the humans in line. he saw a large hammer and a idea grew....

McFinningan had fallen asleep in his washroom. He'd woken up up in a strange place. It was the inside of some camp. It reminded him of pictures of Auschwitz. His vision was still blurry, but he was pretty sure that there were other people in the camp...

"Its all clear sir," stated David Longshanks as himself, Daniel Johnson, Lee King, Kryxtal Kingston and Jaxson Price came out of the bomb shelter.

The squad used to be part of the Black Imperial Guardians and the boys were the personal bodyguard to Kryxtal. That was before the nukes rain down on Lynion and wiped out their kingdom. Union was gone, Lynx was gone, Univax was gone and the Lynion Islands were nothing but a wasteland.

"Think we're the last ones alive?" asked Lee as he checked his rifle.

"Possibly," replied Jaxson as he swung his Magnum around his back.

"Damn," muttered David as he looked at the wastelands on Lynx Island.

"I think it would be best we leave," suggested Daniel as the group packed what few belongings they had with them.

"Maybe there's something at the naval base we can use for transport," suggested Lee as the group decided it was best to leave the wastelands. They were armed with MX8 Assault rifles with armour piecing rounds and Jaxson had his Magnum Sniper Rifle he used to have before the nuclear weapons went off. There was no hope that rockets could be found nor aircraft or a naval warship. Their best beat was maybe a Blackhawk on Lynscert Island or maybe a small boat they could find in the naval base. Whatever they find, they had to leave soon so if anyone came to the Lynion Islands, they presumed everyone was dead.

Morello walks stares into once bright blue sky of Macgruber and wonders what these things where. Was this done by the Skynet (http://terminator.wikia.com/wiki/Skynet) weapons program he heard so much about or was it MIR (http://terminator.wikia.com/wiki/MIR) or was china just pissed again? He kept trying to gather the strength to grab the hammer and smash one of those metal motherfucker (http://terminator.wikia.com/wiki/Series_70).

Lynion Islands, 5:35 PM: Model HK-Aerial (http://terminator.wikia.com/wiki/HK-Aerial), Unit Number 12. Current Objective: Eliminate All Threats to Skynet or Own Existence. Scanning area... The massive VTOL flying machine hovered slowly across the islands, searching for any movement. This larger version of the HK Drones was far more intelligent that the drones, utilizing a sophisticated 'friend or foe' system to determine targets from non-target. Scanning area... five large heat signatures at approximately 37.5 °C, moving at reasonable human speed. Objective: engage... It begins to flew towards the group of targets, shinning its large search lights at the group.

*Steve peered down on the internment camp from atop a large hill* "That fence could pose a problem. Lucky for them, I'm good at fixing problems" *Digging around his trunk, he pulled out the problem solver. A large RPG launcher. Taking aim, he let the missile fly* "Boom baby!"

And nobody can have a RPG or tank 'just lying around'

But Cuborg will decide on that...

"Head's up!" shouted Jaxson as the group took cover behind some rocks.

"I thought they wouldn't be interested in us," started Daniel as the plasma landed around them.

"Well it seems they are," stated Lee as he pulled out his grappling hook pistol. "I want everyone to split up and take cover while aiming for the lights. I'll see if I can place a charge on one of its engines,"

Daniel and Jaxson were the first to open fire as they aimed for the lights while Kryxtal and David went in another direction and fired on the lights. Meanwhile, Lee went left and fired his grappling hook onto the back of the aircraft to pull himself up. As long the machine was focused on the others, he might be able to plant the chargers or prepares board it and possibly capture it.

OOC: In the mists of a surprise attack from machines, where did your guys get a rocket launcher?

Lynion: Targets are opening fire. Small arms, threat: minimal. Move to minimum range of fire, eliminate all targets. The machine hovered a fair distance from the group. It opened up with its large plasma cannons, taking shots only when there was a 80%< chance of a hit. A burst of the human's bullets smashed the search lights. This did little to hinder the machine, as the lights were mainly a psychological weapon. Alert: exterior contact. Scanning.... Non-bullet. Scanning... minor breech. 96% probability that the enemy fired grappling hook. Adjust swivel cannon. Eliminate. The main cannon of the HK Aerial whipped around to the climbing man. Calculating distance, target size, variables... 99.21% chance of lethal hit. The cannons fired, sending short beams of purplish light towards the target...

Macgruber: McFinnigan climbed from his makeshift cot. Calling it a piece of shit was being generous. He saw many others around him, mostly the strong looking type. About half of them were burnt, bleeding or bruised. McFinnigan's vision had came back. There was two men who stood out from the generic masses of injured people: an average-looking man who had an odd look in his eyes, a look of determination and strange calmness, and another, who McFinnigan would have to guess was Italian. He walked to the crude gates. Humanoid figures stood in the distance, shrouded by smoke, holding what looked like very large guns...

"Move it!" shouted Longshanks as a burst of plasma went in their directions. "Come on Lee! Just plant the charges!"

"I'm going as fast as I can!" shouted back Lee as he swing himself just in reach of the wing of the machine. Lee had primed the charges for 2 minutes. Just enough time to plant and run to a safe distance. As he placed the large, he felt something rip one of his legs off. Lee looked down as another burst of plasma killed him instantly. Lee opened his eyes gently, his body free-fell and he reached out as he fell to his death. Jaxson pulled Daniel back from being exposed as the group focused their firepower to the head of the machine.

OOC: my guy has been planning for the end of the world since he was young. hence his rather large trunk full of stuff that goes boom.

OOC: Allow me to clarify myself. You had a man climbing a rope up to something way up in the air. A computer-guided, rapid-fire cannon was fired at him. I find it highly unlikely that the machine would miss once, let alone the many hundreds of shots it took at your man as he climbed.

And how was a civilian able to get a rocket launcher in this post 9/11 world? And how did his truck survive the nuclear blasts?
