The Republic Coalition(Alliance start, ATTN. All)

As many republics and democracies scour for small alliances, wishing to join them, there rises a question. Only a few times have these kinds of nations gathered to see the rise of power to the fact of an alliance. And in so, I decree that we should together form a Coalition of Republics, the SPQR of the modern world, if you will. Together, we can show the world that freedom is the only way!

OOC: Well, basically the same points I just brought out. Basically only requirements are a population of at least 100 million, and to be a free nation(government really doesn't matter, even Monarchies can join if your people have freedom)
To sign up just say your government type, population, and nation name. I'll get a form together if this attracts enough people.

The Republic of Lorraine (-Lorraine-) is intersted in joining this alliance of free nations. The current population is 538 million people. THe govenment of Lorraine is classified as a Coorporate Bordello (Though I am trying to fix that)

OOC - perhaps as the motto of the first modern republic? Rome is a popular reference for many republican idealists - to name three American examples, see the title of president (which comes from Latin roots), the adoption of the name Publius by the authors of The Federalist Papers and the preponderance of Neoclassical architecture in Washington, DC.
I was thinking of using E Pluribus Unum as my motto. It fits, since it's an alliance. (If you have not caught up on your American history for awhile, that means Out of many, one.)

OOC: The predominance of neoclassical architecture in D.C is simply due to the designers of the buildings sticking to the style of the day, which was Neo-classicism. It had nothing with the people trying to embody the ideals of an ancient pseudo-republic in their new capital. The title of president comes from Latin only because Latin has had a heavy influence in English. It had been in use far before it was chosen for the leader of the United States, and was a natural choice because of it's meaning, not because of it's roots.

Oh, well my government is a presidential republic then. I haven't really worked out all the details, but Its pretty much the same style of the US but will have some differences.

Yeah, those colors are a bit messed up. But otherwise its a great start.
I guess another reason that not many people are joining up is possibly because there aren't nearly as many nations as before. There used to be around 70,000 nations, now there are only about 50,000. BIG loss.

right now its just sitting there for us to use when we want to. Its only been up for like a day, so there hasn't been anything posted on it yet.
Ve are active. Most likely this will turn into a pact rather than a coalition, so that it's like a 4-way alliance or something.
