Urutapu was a small island in the pacific quite a distance away from the east coast of the south island of New Zealand.

It was apart of New Zealand. It was also quite an isolated part of the country. It had one grass airfield and so hardly anybody from the mainland ever travelled to the small Island.

Many described it as "New Zealand 30 years ago" Or "Its just like New Zealand in the 70's" It had old cars from the 60's and 70's though not many people owned cars. It was very quant and small. Its largest city of Ahiahi only had a population of 24,000 (the city takes Its name from a maori word for afternoon as the country is on the western side of the island where the sun sets) The island in general only had a population of 67,800 but they were scattered out in small villages and towns.

The biggest industry on the island was fishing and mussle farming. It was very backwards for New Zealand standards and Reception was very poor that the island had to content itself with its own radio station and even TV's couldnt operate properly without rabit ears and even then the screen was a bit snowy.

The Global recession was hitting the island hard. With most of the inhabitants employed in fisheries which were privatly owned and about to close down people had its last straw with the government on the mainland.

The Fisheries announced that its future was not certain and it had large debts to pay and that 580 workers would have to be sacked. Other Fishing companies were also heading to the mainland as it was cheaper and would not have to travel as far a distance.

And so the local economy was ruined and this small corner of New Zealand was about to get a little bit more underdeveloped

In Ahiahi a demonstration was underway.

The city was largly flat. It was largely made up of Small rundown houses with overgrown laws. streets with pot holls and some streets that had not even been sealed yet and were still gravel. 800 people marched through the center of the city to the Town Hall which was a small 3 story white structure with the new zealand flag hanging on a pole out the front.

"We no longer want to be backwards! Let us beter our lives by ourselves!" the people chanted.

Cameron Larsen was a 38 yearold leading the demonstration with a megaphone

"People! Urutapu no longer has to remain backwards and we can make our own descisions! Let us move into the Town Hall and take it for ourselves and kick out the mainlanders!" he yelled into it

The police were in affective and just stood and watched or continued onto other business.

3 men came out of the Town Hall

"No one here is from the mainland, we are all born in Urutapu so calm down!"

Cameron walked up to the man standing in the center

"We want self governance! our people are losing their jobs and you sit on your asses taking orders from Wellington when we ought to be doing the job ourselves! Were taking that Hall for our own! Now get out to the mainland!"

"You realise this is treason isnt it? Inciting rebellion? Greg call Wellington!"

The crowd then advanced foward and overran the three men and stormed the white building with the majority of the people surrounding the hall and removing the New Zealand flag and raising the Flag of the new "Democratic Republic of Urutapu"

The Police entered past the demonstrators and met with Cameron

(OOC: The island is so isolated that no one would know of what is going on at this point. I'm going to eat dinner then return to finish this off)

"We have taken control of the island and are now an indepenent nation. Are you going to be loyal and work with us or no?" said Cameron

"We are really supose to be loyal to Wellington and to New Zealand...... But we arent going to fight you. If you lead the island to independence fine. But what are we to expect of this? Dictatorship?" said the chief of police

"None of us here are for dictatorship. We are all for the improvement of the people of Urutapu" replied Cameron

"We will not work at all for anybody until a full independent Urutapu has been established. We have contacted Wellington back at the station and said they can not count on us to restore order and advised them to let us go"

"Thank you police chief"

Cameron proceeded to the window and opened it. He was on the third floor in the mayors office.

"People we have won! We are now an Independent nation the Democratic Republic of Urutapu with the capital city being Ahiahi. Now will be an era of progress and justice! January 4th will be rememberd as the day we became independent! We will form a new administration led by the values of equality and a moral economy free from capitalism. Maori and Pakeha will live together and stregnthen ties and the culture of both peoples will flourish toegther on the island with also an introduction of the Socialist culture in the two!"

The people cheered and applauded

Cameron ordered the islands radio station to broadcast a message to the people. It would be a recording of his victory speech and a message to the world

To the international community. The Island of Urutapu is free from New Zealand rule. We are small but that will not stop us from being forced back under New Zealand rule. We will introduce our own currency and system of government and we ask for recognition and for a plea to restrain any hostile government wishing to take advantage of us or return us to New Zealand rule.

Cameron recieved the message from the armaments company

"Reply and say that it will not be nessasary yet. With the little money this island does have I dont want to spend it on weapons" he said "But thank them for the offer"

One enthusiastic women came running up the road with a basket

"Here!" she yelled

"Put these on!" She began handing out green arm bands

"I tried to find a red sheet but I didnt have any. Besides the colour green goes with the islands green clean image" said the women smiling

Everyone enthusiastically put on the green armbands and thanked the women Even Cameron put a green armband on when he exited the building.

"There it is comrades, Green will be the colour of our revolution" said Cameron

People began to leave thier work and were milling around the city a bit confused to see groups of people wearing green armbands chanting

"We won! the island is ours!"

The news was spreading quickly as people using old chunky land line phones from the 80's phoned thier family in the countryside and suburbs of what was going on.

The Urutapu Socialist Unity Party was quickly formed on 10th january with Camerom Larsen being made General Secretary for a term of 5 years.

Ahiahi's movie theatre was made as the Parliament Building. Red curtains were drawn over the movie screen and a small podium was brought in with microphones installed. Ahiahi had no other building that could seat people in such a way and the theatre was the most logical place for the government to meet. The 3 story administrative building was just made up of small offices, with no space for government members to sit.

For the first ever meeting of the USUP anybody was invited into the theatre to listen to "Comrade Cameron!"

Citizens wearing the green arm bands packed the theatre. sometimes two to a seat.

"Well, we have done it! We are our own country now free from Wellington and we are going to make our own destiny. We will all work hard to make this a great country to live in. We will establish our own identity, create a new and unique culture and introduce a MORAL economy and cleanse Urutapu of capitalism. Everyone will be guarenteed a job! free education, healthcare and public transport and a safe environment to grow up in free of crime and an elimination of poverty! We are an extremly small country so its normal for other nations to not take notice of us... This may work in our favour. It means we will not have to deal with foriegn interference.. Hopefully"

The crowd began cheering and clapping. Everyone wondered what this new socialist Urutapu would be like. Already socialism was being associated with a Urutapu independence which made it instantly popular with the people. Cameron's dashingly good looks and friendly mannor also played a part.

The fisheries were the first to be put under state control. Next it was the town bank which became the Bank of Urutapu. A new currency was being designed but until January 1st 2010 the New Zealand dollar would continue to be used. The Islands radio station was brought under state control and the employees enthusiastically accepted the task of updating the people on what was happening and the goals and ideals of the Socialist Unity party while still allowing news of the outside and ordinary citizens to call up the station and give thier opinion on matters. the 9 hour working day was abolished and instead no one could work more then 8 hours unless they were getting paid time and a half. The minimum wage was raised from $12 an hour to $12.50 with plans to increase it to $13 by mid 2010.

Volunteer brigades patrolled the streets to keep everything safe and assist the police. Wealthy new zealanders had thier holliday homes on Urutapu siezed by the state and thier contents taken too.

From Tsar Schuck of Bushdome

Greetings comrades, i would firstly like to congratulate you on making your homeland socialist. As a communist nation we feel the need to protect those who are like minded, as without nations like ours who can the working class man look to for insparation of equality?

We are offering you 50 million sun pounds for you to spend on developing your nation and to protect your self from oppressive invaders, we would also like to offer military aide, if you wished we could have Bushdome troops based on your island in a month.

((OOC: Nice introduction, but as a note, the global recession never happened in NationStates; a World War did (see GWO/Stoklomolvi War).))

"Another socialist state?" asked Jakob Segeb. "Right, how long 'til they learn all about communism?"

With world war raging, it was only natural to assume every leftist state would support the communist Stoklomolvi, rather than the fascists in the Grand World Order. Thus, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Isira joked quite often that every socialist state would be having a communist revolution 'in a day or two'. They weren't very good jokes, but at least they kept him sane.

"Quite a while," explained Foreign Minister Ehud Ben-Aharon. "Urutapu seems to be a breakaway republic of New Zealand. Strange."

"Well, we may as well start relations with them," replied Segeb. "After all, we promised that the only thing we give a damn about is if you want to be an ally with us, eh?"

"Aye aye, Captain."

To: General Secretary Cameron Larsen, Urutapu.
From: Prime Minister Jakob Segeb, Isira.
Subject: Independent Urutapu and Isira.

Peace be unto you,

The Republic is also a new nation, keen to found many friendships between us and the world. Thus, we have noted that Urutapu has declared it an independent socialist state and has requested of the world to recognise them. We extend to you a hand of friendship, offering to trade and build an alliance with your nation.

We fully recognise the independent and sovereign state of Urutapu, and we hope relations may grow between our nations.

Yours Sincerely,
Prime Minister Jakob Segeb.

[OOC: I really would not call Stok-GWO war a "World War", but w/e.]

250km East of Uratupu
Convoy 315.35

The international situation; the battle raging around the globe with countless collectivist nations, fascist or communist, battling each other for hegemony over the vague concept of ideology and power in which they apparently believed they were vaguely important, had unfortunately warranted that various Questarian trade lines were patrolled in convoy. It was not that the Royal Navy was assuming that convoying was efficient as protection in wartime - it simply wasn't - but as a deterrent, it was hoped that to protect Questarian trade, accompanying those merchant ships with warships flying the Questarian ensign was the most effective method. After all, although the West Havenic Slavery War had forced Questers out of the international scene for some time, the Royal Navy was still recognised as a world leader in its role.

Accompanying convoy 315.35, which consisted of twelve oil tankers and forty two other merchant ships which would reach a safepoint before diverging their respective, also protected, trade lines, were six Type 46 destroyers, two Type 142 patrol cruisers, and a Type 242 Unicorn class escort carrier, of PG.15 TF 166.22. Commodore Shilling, having raised his flag on the carrier Cockatrice, was taking afternoon tea when approached by Captain Moore, his second in command, to deliver the news that ham radio operators, later backed by vhf/uhf radio, had been broadcasting messages, recently just confirmed, that a small island within range of TF 166.22's striking distance had declared itself independence upon a Socialistic platform. The two officers set about discussing whether it was possible to take any course of action.

Firstly it was not procedure to divert from the course of convoying, unless an ally was in grave danger. Secondly, although they had the resources to crush the small island and its nonexistent military, and the marines to potentially land and occupy the island, there was absolutely nothing of value and Uratupu was of no threat whatsoever, and in any case any occupation would be unfeasible, especially in terms of supplies and local reception. So the Questarian ships followed harmlessly on their route, deciding to leave alone the new Socialist country to discover for itself the failures of command economics.

To my dear Cameron Larsen,

Although I extend our congratulations to Urutapu for achieving independence over an ineffective and almost colonial government, I am gravely worried that the Urutapi people have decided to attempt to implement a Socialist government. Socialism and Communism are twin menaces that rob from rich and poor alike and destroy humans, economies, and nations, and I feel Urutapu will soon discover that such economic policies will further deepen their economic hardships and plunge them into a fate far worse than the ineffective governance of the nation they seceded from.

But it is far from over! I urge you, Mr. Larsen, to see beyond the wall of illusions of nirvana, of fields of golden wheat and happy workers dancing in the streets, and see the Communism and Socialism have, in all cases failed, and caused nothing but starvation and horror for all but a few elite ruling class men. Yes, the supposed "Equality" if Socialism infact destroys all remaining semblance of equality, and reduces the working class to poverty and cannibalism!

If even this horror does not daunt you, I plee that you deliver this message to your people and let them decide for themselves.

Signed,
President Hernando Perez Martin

We thank your for the recognition and support. We hope for close relations and will happily accept the aide money. As for the military presence. It wont be nessasary at this moment in time. Should the situation change we will take you up on the offer. I think we share in similar visions and goals and we should work together to better the lives of both our people. Thanks once again for the aide money. To ensure that the money will be put to good use we plan to divert it into
Upgrading and adding new roads
Importing of earthmoving vehicles, tractors and farming equipment
expansion to the wind power system on the island

.................................................................................................

To the nation of Isira

We would happily invite diplomatic relations with your nation and trade relations too. We have our mussels and fish as well as diary and farm produce to export. We would also like to import erhtmoving vehicles and new farming equipment as well as common grocery items. Our supermarkets were supplied from the mainland and seeing as all trade is cut we will face shortages pretty soon until we create our own means to fill the shelfs. In the meantime we can fill the holes with imports. Thankyou once again

To the nation of Aprika

This note only streagnthens our determination to not see the senario mentioned in the note ever happen to our tiny island. We have no intention of becoming a police state and we have no intention of enriching our own lives before our people. We know of the faults of communist states that have existed before. They took communist rule for granted and the people rebelled. Unlike them we are flexable. If we see faults in the system we wont paper them over and pretend nothing is wrong. We will address the issue and see what we can do to fix the situation with as little trouble to the people as possable. Thankyou for the concerns I hope we can update you with good news on the Islands progress.

Stoklomolvi, being one of the larger communist states and the founder of the Comintern, would like to extend a hand in friendship to the sovereign Democratic Republic of Urutapu. We do recognise this new state, and offer membership to the Comintern, the largest body of communist sovereign states that work to defend one another from outside aggression. In addition, Stoklomolvi offers a free trade agreement and the possibility of investment in Urutapu's burgeoning food market, as Stoklomolvi has traditionally depended on its huge rice paddies and thus does not consume as much cheese as it could. In exchange, Stoklomolvi can help modernise and industrialise Urutapu after the current war with the GWO-coalition ends.

We are a left leaning government but certain issues might bring us into conflict. We have allowed the creation of independent parties and even though they have pledged support to our cause and its been set in the constitution that the Urutapu Socialist Unity Party is the leading power and has a guarenteed dominant role in the government we probably have a lot more political pluralism and are more flexable then some of the other Comrades in how they run thier nations. We hope that we can still have close relations and that other communist nations respect our own brand of socialism. After your war is over we are happy to enter into aggreements on co-operation and trade. We would not like to get involved in the war as we are only a nation of just over 60,000 inhabitants with a non existant armed forces... we would be crushed in seconds.

Governor Lord Percival Cartwright (the Seventh Earl of Westfield) read the small memo his NDI Field Chief had handed him after breakfast. Apparently the island of Urutapu has seceeded from New Zealand and decalred itself some sort of socialist republic. In most cases the Commonwealth wouldn't have bothered with such an occurence, but Urutapu was rather close to the Sparrow Islands and while Tolvan was generally benign towards socialist nations, it disliked the proximity of this island to some of its largest overseas holdings. Lord Cartwright had been in a videoconference most of the morning with the Cabinet and the decision was made that small military force would be sent to pay a port call to Urutapu. Tolvan had no designs on the tiny island, but it never hurt to let them know who their neighbors were. Besides, a little show of force might keep the kiwis from pulling anything funny.

Stoklomolvi did and still does have political parties, though most people are by choice members of the Communist Party of Stoklomolvi. We do understand the system of Urutapu as we used that system in our past.

On joining the Comintern, there is no obligation at the moment for Urutapu to join the Stoklo-GWO war at the moment, as only sporadic fighting is occurring and neither side is making many gains.

The sleek amphibious assault ship carried some 800 Marines and a variety of equipment, including armoured vehicles. In addition the destroyer Garry (DDG-243) and the frigates Pelican (FFG-309) and Swallow (FFG-324) were along as escorts. The small force would arrive off Urutapu in just over two days to begin its exercises and to request a port call.

We havnt been very informed of the current war between your nation and the GWO. is it ok to explain how it all happened?
We also have to admit that we dont have much knowledge of communism though we are left wing on many issues. I think we are more of an embryonic socialist state with a lot to learn. I really think a stregnthening of relations would be very important. Is Urutapu of any strategic impotance to Stoklomolvi, not just in this war but in the distant future. Maybe we should think about pacts on co-operation and the possability of the construction of a Stoklomolvi base of somesort. A place where your ships can dock, be repaired and where soldiers can train in our dense forests.... we also cant forget those Stoklomolvi technicians, engineers and teachers to help further Urutapu along the way. Ofcourse think of these only when you have the time and when this war is over.

Just forty-nine hours after the the ships left Priceton they were nearing Urutapu. As the island appeared to lack any real military forces at the present they appeared to have gotten this far undetected. Had the Commonwealth held aggressive intentions towards the locals the attack would be beginning already. The Waterford's embarked complement of fifteen M12 "Otter" LVTPs and its two CH-55 "Mule" assault helos could have landed two full Marine rifle companies anywhere on the island with minimal warning. Of course the Commonwealth wasn't here to invade, but it was here to send a message.

To that end the the task group deliberately slowed its advance to just ten knots and altered course to transit an area known to be a popular fishing ground for boats operating off the island.

We can make your nation a First World nation. Of course, that'd have to be by invasion, because there's no way in hell a Leftist nation can be a First World nation for very long.

You shall forever be bound within the constraints of your island. Forever, your nation will have a crappy standard of living.

Until we invade. When the Liberation and Enlightenment comes to your nation, the shackles of Leftism shall be broken, and the greatness of Fascism will be realized. When that day eventually comes, we hope the Leftist leaders in your nation are prepared to face the proper consequences.

Captain Sir Jacob Li, CO of the Waterford and task group commander, stood on the port bridge wing and watched several of the fishing boats through his binoculars. He snorted with derision as he turned to face his XO, Commander Henry Thames. "Look at these merry bunch of fools Mr. Thames. We've been in sight for over an hour and the damn fool locals have yet send as much as a bloody OPV to greet us. Such people deserve to have their fisheries plundered if they show so little interest in protecting them."

Thames smiled at Li's tirade, "Shall we make our presence more obvious Sir?"

Li shook his head quickly, "No Henry, the lcoals likely don't even have ESM gear so radiating on radars won't do us much good and out orders forbid harrassing the local shipping. I think we'll continue right on up to their national waters."

But I would feel better if I could allow some troops to set up somewhere in your country, I fear what the more imperialistic countries will do, but it is up to you," Ernesto put a Cuban cigar in his mouth and lit it.

"20 years as a guerilla soldier? What was the Soviet System like before your victory? Personally I dont think we are in much danger I mean who's going to care what an island of 64,000 people do, right? How about maybe 500 Soviet System soldeirs. Remember you'll be the one footing the bill for thier maintenance then haha We can draw up an agreement later, were approaching the Government Offices"

It had been announced on the Radio that Urutapu would be expecting the head of State from the Soviet System to visit which brought out a couple of hundred citizens standing around the Governemnt Offices to catch a glipse. Holding photo camera's and waving and chatting...

Ernesto smiled and waved to the people outside as he got out of the car, walking to the entrance of the building, still talking to Cameron,

"Yes 20 years as a guerrilla soldier, was fighting since I was 15, when the old Government killed my family cause my brother joined a rebel army, so then I joined after that, and rose up to be the Commander in Chief of the rebel army. As for what it was like before the Revolution, it was under a Czar, a very beautiful nation, very cold, and with everyone poor, the common folk were starving, only the noble men were able to feed themselves..." Ernesto got lost in remembering those times.

"But as far as the men go, I will wait till we sign a treaty or agreement of some sorts, and I do think you under estimate the global hatred of a Communist or Socialist nation."

The two made thier way to the 3rd floor to a meeting room opposite camerons office. It had a long rectangle table with 8 seats around it. 3 on each side with 1 on the top and bottom end

"Well lets ha ve a seat and begin discussing things"
The Soviet System
18-01-2009, 03:26
Ernesto sat down in the nearest seat to him and looked at Cameron.

"Ok, well I guess the basics will come in, a trade alliance between our nations, the System has a lot of oil, that we could trade with you with, as a basicly new nation you will need some, also, for protecting, I would like to see if I could set up a base, but then again, this is your country, what would you want"
Urutapu
18-01-2009, 03:32
"We will definatly need the oil so we will be looking to import that. We only have produce from our farms and fisheries to export so we really need to industralise so we can produce our own industrial and commercial products. We will also need to import goods for our stores, New Zealands cut us off. As for the Base we will accept that on the terms that you cover the maintenence costs, you wont need to pay to lease the land the base is on or anything just cover the maintenence costs, anything you would like to discuss. Ofcourse we would also like to send some students to the Soviet System to be trained up as teachers, doctors, engineers etc"
The Soviet System
18-01-2009, 03:38
"Sure thing we will open all exports to Urutapu, we shall send all we can spare, which will be a lot of oil, and sure, we will cover all the bases costs, it will basically be a barracks, with an airbase off to its side, so we can send troops there to train, plus we can put some fighters, just to protect you till you can do so yourself, as for the students, we can do that sure, we will even pay for the transporting of the students, I see this as an era of friendship between us, and our nations, and im sure we could establish an embassy here, right?"
Urutapu
18-01-2009, 03:46
"Wow! You'll pay the transportation fees!? Ok well I am fully in support of stregnthening ties in any way, sporting, cultural.... The people of Urutapu speak English and learn Maori in school, Do you mind if we pay to bring over a Soviet System teacher to now teach a third language of Russian in Urutapu schools. Sports is really amatuer in Urutapu but we do plan to Build an Aquatics center in Ahiahi and a small stadium to move sports up to a piority as sporting contact is important to any nation despite what other people may believe. Is there anything else you would like to bring up?"
The Soviet System
18-01-2009, 03:55
"Sure, we shall send the Russian language Professor from Moscowgrad University, our leading expert, since it is the native tongue we don't really need him that much, as for sports, we don't pay much mind unless it comes to boxing, which is very important to my people, I am good for right now, I mean I might have missed something, anything you want to bring up?"
Urutapu
18-01-2009, 04:11
"hmm maybe at a later date we can make an alliance official, it might be too soon but Urutapu can help in the long run being your only Ally in the Pacific. Also whats your views on world revolution. Does the soviet system support movement across the world and help cause revolution?"
The Soviet System
18-01-2009, 04:16
"We support world wide revolution, we will support any Socialist/ Communist rebel group, but we will not invade with them, just supply weapons, take more of a passive support, for we do not want to force it on nations, now, would u like to sign this into action, with a treaty of some sorts, a paper to symbolize all this, I do not know how your Government works, if you need approval of some congress?"
Urutapu
18-01-2009, 04:18
"Well I have the authority on these issues as President so lets sign it all then" Cameron signed a sheet of paper that a lady brought out and then some more, just agreements on what was just brought up.

Right now that business is out of the way what would you like to do or see now?
The Soviet System
18-01-2009, 04:22
Ernesto signed the papers that he needed to sign as well, and then he stood up, "well maybe a tour of the city of which you suggested earlier would be nice, and I shall contact my cabinet right away with this info to get onto everything"
Urutapu
18-01-2009, 04:24
"Yes, you can contact your government. There is a phone in my office that you can use. We'll wait down stairs to take you on a tour of Ahiahi"
The Soviet System
18-01-2009, 04:32
Ernesto walked to the phone, and dailed the number for his Head of State, Vladimir Zurikov

"Vladimir, I need you to send a battleship to the coast of Urutapu, we have signed agreements and I would like to have some manovers in the waters, as well as I have some new deals we have to work out when I get back, but we have made a close ally this day."

"Yes, Ernesto Sir, we shall get the TSS-Red November there, to show our flagship, we look forward to seeing you back, Soviet"

Ernesto hung up and walked downstairs to Cameron, and saluted, "shall we be on our way?"

"Well firstly as you may know Urutapu has two types of people living on it. The Pakeha, which are people of european decent and are... well white, like me. And the Maori who are the natives. Ahiahi is a maori word for afternoon and well Urutapu is a maori word for like Virgin or pure so its supose to be like an pure untouched island"

They headed down the streets in the car

"And that building is the movie theatres which we turned into a Parliament cause of the seating arangement inside is more convenient. We have plans to reconstruct the city to well make it more compatable with the society we are building"
The Soviet System
18-01-2009, 04:44
Ernesto climbed into the car

"I see, so I hope to see some Maori in the Government right?, and that is also very interesting, I might ask for a Urutapuian history teacher to come to the Soviet System, we love history... well I do at least" Ernesto laughed
Urutapu
18-01-2009, 04:51
"Well we have a Maori Peoples Party in the government as well as the Environmentalist party. National Elections are scheduled to take place on 1st March"

"We dont really have very historical sites. Theres an old cement factory on the outskirts a beutiful beach and an old World War 2 gun placement to the south of the city but its there as a historic attraction. The land outside Ahiahi is very nice with thick bush and nice scenary. I guess its a good place to train troops in the thick forests and on our beaches and small towns that lie outside Ahiahi"

the TSS-Red November arrived in Urutapu waters, and was in visual contact with the Tolvan ship, and the capitan of the Red November ordered a radio message be sent to the other ship
Tolvan
18-01-2009, 05:37
OOC: Just how far away are you? Your ship seems to have arrived rather quickly, it took my task group two days to get there and they were already in the South Pacific. For the sake of keeping things moving along I'll assume you dispatched the ship shortly after making contact with Urutapu in order to give it time to arrive.

Task Group 101.5
Twenty-two nautical miles NE of Urutapu

Li studied the recently arrived Soviet System battleship through his binoculars. "More fucking commies Henry, and the damn fools sent an unescorted battleship to greet us. Who even uses those damn antigues these days anyway? I guess we should be polite then."

Li handed the binoculars to one of the duty look-outs and headed into the bridge to pick up the radio mic. "Soviet System battleship, this is Waterford Actual, I am a task group of the Tolvanic Royal Navy conducting exercise in international waters. You will stand to and hold your range at ten nautical miles. Over."

After he replaced the mic in its cradle he turned to Commander Thames, "Pass the word to the TG to set Condition One throughout and have all hands report to action stations. Pass the word to Commander Lord Gaines to develope firing solutions with both gunnery and Pelicans (AGM-52 Pelican anti-ship missiles). If those assholes so much as train a gun on us I want to know about it. Also, get off a FLASH message to Priceton that we've made contact with a possibly hostile BB and ave them put something on alert."

(OOC: yeah I just wanted to keep things moving so idc, what we say about when it was sent)

Ivan Polkov the caption of the ship order his helms man to keep ten nautical miles away from the Tolvan ship, and picked up his mic,

"Waterford Actual, this is the Red November, the first of many ships that will be coming to this region, for we now have an agreement with Urutapu to protect it, and we suggest you stop your operations near its coast, I have no clue of your intentions, but I do not want a conflict started" Ivan then waited for an answer, he ordered to train the guns close but not on the ship, and ordered the crew to be ready for a fight if one started.

((OOC: Woo special forces operation...))

The Spire, Magna Polis

The massive capitol of the Federation stood proudly as normal. At the bottom, an entire Battalion of Special Tactics Force Agents stood in a parade rest stance, solid within their box formation. The Major of the Battalion stood firmly ten feet in front of the group. Moving up and down the ranks, one could see a massive (Three foot long) horsehair colored black at the beginning and turning into a neon blue towards the ends. The wearer? Heinrich Slaag, the fabled leader of the Grand Commander's brutally efficient private army. Nobody could see into the courtyard surrounding the Spire, other than a few military officers and Internal Control Department officials in their offices in the Spire, and a few S.T.F. Grand Guardians patrolling the final layer of the Spire Security Building, which had weapons pointing outwards ranging from machine gun nests to 105-450mm artillery cannons. The Spire itself had a few of these weapon stations as well.

But why were the 500 S.T.F. Agents standing so? Quite simple, really. They were to re-establish a proper government in Urutapu and eliminate Leftist leaders via beyond-brutal means. The 8th "Seig" Battalion was approved and ready for deployment.

Magna Polis Military Harbor #7

The Battalion was being loaded onto the FWS Fat Bastard, a San Antonio-class Amphibious Transport Dock. Two Backstabber-class stealth ships were to be escorting the ship. The reason the "fleet" was so meager was simply because the Order wanted to keep a low profile. It's not that they feared repercussions, but they wanted the advantage of confusion and surprise. If an S.T.F. Agent can theoretically level an entire platoon of soldiers alone in a combat situation, imagine what 500 of them (Plus their Major) could do when the enemy doesn't even know they're there?

Outside of Urutapu Territorial Waters

The three-ship cluster was preparing to trespass into the backwater nation of Urutapu's waters. All three ships were much harder to spot than most ships, especially the Backstabber-class ships. The San Antonio was designed for less RADAR visibility, but it certainly wasn't as stealthy as the Backstabbers. The ships were painted to be almost impossible to see with the naked eye out on the seas.

The Agents were boarding their LCU-1646 Landing Craft and Expeditionary Fighting Vehicles. The eight EFVs would be used to secure and relay a landing zone for the LCU, which carried the bulk of the Agents.

Two RAH-66 Commanches were flying recon to make sure nothing was too close for comfort. Obviously, they were launched from the San Antonio-class ship. Meanwhile, the ships were creeping forward to the land.

We are very well known for our civil rights, political freedoms and we have a growing economy. All of our people are encouraged to express themselves in anyway they deem fit, so long as it doesn't injure or kill themselves or anybody else. Our government is a democracy, however we do have a monarch, but the monarch does not influence the governments actions anymore, as that would not be a fair democracy if the monarch did control government. Our nation is located in the Caribbean (where the Barbados is IRL), and we have managed to establish fantastic relations with our neighbors. And wish to begin relations with yours.
