Having just played GT:4, I got the idea for a racing RP. I don't know how exactly a race on NS would work, but thought I'd at least see if there was some interest.

I was planning on it being like a professional race, but as a fan of IGPX, I was also thinking maybe each country would host a 'team' to compete, with more than one driver. All cars would have to be real, or based on real cars.

This is the tentative sign-up sheet, with factors to be added as we deem it necessary:

Not a problem. It started out a bit like this, but I couldn't find any way of doing a racing thread. Suffice to say, it would probably take a considerable amount of compromise between all involved. Maybe if you had some sort of formula, you could use a spreadsheet to create random results. But that sort of thing is way beyond my level of computing. I'll post a team though, as i'm a big racing fan myself (GT racing at Oulton Park in April FTW)

Accepted, and now I'll outline the whole of the race:

Each team will consist of two racers, a Forward and a Defender. The goal of both is to get the best position they can in the race.

Point system:

8 points are awarded to the person to come in 1st.
6 points are awarded to the person to come in 2nd.
4 points are awarded to the person to come in 3rd.
2 points are awarded to the person to come in 4th.
1 point is awarded to all subsequent places.

5 points are awarded for safe driving (ie. staying on the track, no beligerent bumping etc.)
3 points are awarded for both team-members reaching the finish line.

The tally of all points determines the winner.


The race:

Each nation will host a race in their country, over a course of their choosing. It can either be a course through the countryside, through an urban environment (city) or any other venue. It is official, so streets will be cordoned off.

After a near-fatal accident, a judge gave him one last shot at redemption, working as a mechanic for Valkyrie Racing. Showing his talent behind the wheel, he was soon offered a spot on the team.

short bio: Liliana was a childhood friend of Andelko Tikhomirov, and upon hearing of the formation of a racing team, jumped at the chance to help out. Originally only a technical assistant, she showed her talents as a driver, earning her slot.
