The land is wrestless. The nations have isolated themselves and the smell of war is ever present. In these dark times who will finally take the world?

In the forests of Legon the centaurs are at peace. King Orieus however knows that war is coming. From his palace in the forest at the edge of the mountains he waits. Finally the time has come when he can wait no more. The king has dispatched an emissaries to the elven Kingdoms to the east and the demon Kingdom to the south.

As the emissary enters the land of the Demons the sky darkens and twists with red skys and fire. The ground begins to die, trees are giving off a fiery glow. Creatures look at him and stalk him through the vast plains of burning land. The screams of souls could be heard in the distance as he would approach a large black fortress.

The emissary of his majesty bravely walks toward the entrance to the fortress.
"I have a message from King Orieus of the Centaurs of Legon. Allow me entrance so that you may see it."

Two massive black blade like gates begin open slowly, revealing the thousands of demons walking about, many in armor. A demon walks up to him, the diplomat of the demon god Typhon. He wore a black cloak and had extremely pale skin. When he talked blood poured from his mouth, one could not see his eyes. " Come with me, the dark lord awaits your arrival."

The emissary showed no fear as he trotted beside the demon. This message might secure the future of both their kingdoms and possibly the world.

OCC: my nation name is now officially the " Unholy Empire of the Damned"

They went up what seemed like endless stairs till they reached the top of a massive tower. The tower oversaw the entire plains with a slight sight of the green lands. The figure bowed and left after he sent the emissary into the throne room. This room had hell knights in ceremonial fashion on each side of the throne. A fountain of blood was in the center of the room with a ring of fiery lava around it. The Demon god Typhon spoke from his massive throne of gold with serpent heads for the arms. Blood stains new and old spattered the golden piece of furniture. The demon lord spoke with the sound of a thousand voices. " Why do you enter my lands..."

"I am the emmisary of King Orieus of the Centaurs, King of Legon. Our King has watche dthe stars for sometime and he knows that war is coming. In order to secure the future of our two kingdoms he wishes for an alliance. What do you say?"

" Yours is an interesting offer...I wish for the body's of dead enemy's to feed my army's, we have the largest infantry army throughout the land, Our Cavalry and Navy however, are not powerful. Combined with your hoofed soldiers, none should match us on the field of battle. I accept your offer, now leave before I bath in your blood."

The emmisary bowed and said "At once yout majesty."
He turned and quickly galloped back to his own lands where he told the king of the news. The King smiled. "Are future is secured. Now if the Elves agree to our alliance we can march out and prevent this war."

Already the Burning Army's of Unholy Empire of the Damned were assembling out on the plains in mass formations. War was coming, or so the Centaur said. Typhon needed his forces ready to deal blows to there enemy's as well as defend his lands from foreign intrusion. War Spawns roared spewing forth fire and smoke as they walked slithered on the ground, there massive snake body's ready to smash against a fortress gate if necessary.

The centaurs also began assembling. 3,000 light cavalry, 1,500 heavy cavalry, and 2,000 archers near the edge of the Legon Forest waited to march out. The light cavalry was armed with two short swords and with normal platemail. The heavy cavalry was armed with two-handed swords, and lances with heavy platemail. Archers had longbows and armor piercing arrows. They remained at the edge of the forest guarding the borders. A smaller force remained behind the castle to guard King Orieus.

*King Oskar of Rockforge sat on his throne. He was of normal size for a dwarf, with a missing right eye, and an impressive red beard, dotted with several trinkets. He was waiting on word from his spy near the demon lands*

"Your highness, its just as we thought. The centaurs are forming an alliance with the demons. This is not good"

"Yes i know. With any luck, our messenger has delivered my message to the golems. They can be very useful allies if this war actually breaks out"

*A single dwarf marched through the blazing desert, arriving at his destination* "I bring word from King Oskar. He wishes to speak of an alliance with your people"

As the last ships of the now fully assembled Tel'hran navy pulled into place within the massive dock, the leaders of the Council of Ice conversed quietly, discussing their plans for the defense of the Summer Islands, which was the only Snow Elf settlement within the Lands Beyond the Mountains.
"So it now appears that this war is inevitable. Our scouts have informed us that the Centaurs have begun preparing their armies. Whether for invasion or defense is beyond me, but that they are preparing an army is a threat to the peace of this world." One of the council members, the Head of Spies, spoke quietly. There was a murmur of surprise, then another member spoke up.
"Whether for invasion or defense does not matter. An army assembled to defend against an invasion that never occurs will end up being an army sent to stop an invasion from happening. In essence, another invasion." There was a ripple of support from the other council members.
"Well then, it seems like we have found ourselves in a situation solved either by death or by war. And we are far too proud to die. So we must prepare for war." and with that, the fate of the Tel'hrani armies was sealed. It was time to prepare for war.

Long have the Raeldar elves walked the forests of their home, tending to the trees and all that inhabit the forest, caring little for those outside its borders. This may have continued indefinitely if not for the accident that left the old king dead and allowed Telkosse to inherit the throne. he had been an outspoken critic of his father's isolation policies, and had quickly established relations and eventual alliances with the younger races. But that was over 342 years ago, the land had changed much, old bonds had weakened and even destroyed. Enemies had become friends and friends had become enemies. The goblins and orcs had increased their attacks against his forest kingdom even overrunning the plains from time to time. so Telkosse had sent embassies throughout the land looking for the other elven folks and the legendary dwarfs hoping to reestablish their olden bonds and trades for the fight that loomed like a storm over the horizon.

Western edge of the Raeldar forests, Telkosse's war camp, 8:12 PM

"My liege, our patrols have spotted a lone centaur as she crossed the river separating our kingdoms. She is only lightly armored and seems to be baring a message."
"Bring her to me. Have our own emissaries reported success with the dwarfs and our fellow elves yet?"
"At once my liege and no your brothers have not reported back in a moon(20 days)."
"You are dismissed Alfred"
Telkosse sighed it had been a busy day, the goblins had attacked an outlaying village early the day. Telkosse had lead his men into battle eventually killing them to the last but the village had been razed to the ground and many of his fellow elves now layed in their graves.

The dwarf arrives at his destination, a massive fortress made out of white marble. The two guards at the massive entrance stand there, taking no interest in him, and eventually the gates open. Insidethere is a mixture of machinery and artistic design that would not appear to be something a golem would create. The dwarf is lead by a four legged golem that is highly decorated and has many eyes. It leads him down an intricate staircase, from which he sees the true size of the fortress, as he sees massive halls spliting off in many directions leading to many smaller forts in the desert, a clever way to spred messages and troops in such a massive area. He is lead for what seems to be ages, until he is finally halted in front of another massive set of doors. Gears turn frantically and the doors open, and the dwarf is lead into a large room with a cool blue glow. The room is filled with blue crystals, with machinery woven in between them. In the center is a massive construct, and it speaks as the dwarf approaches,"You are brave dwarf for coming here, after all we have not forgotten the war of annhilation you humanoids waged on us thousands of years ago, that destroyed all but a few of us, and stranded us here in this wasteland. So please, speak your message now."

The young centaur approached the elven camp with pride. She waited for her guards as she didn't want to be rude by entering the camp without an escort. As she waited she tried to remember the message that she was too deilever. She started grazing slowly as she was hungry from the long run.

On a beach on the south of largest Summer isle the water laped calmly, the odd seal broke the waves and the ocasional fish could be seen fleeing beneath the waves further out, but otherwise all was calm. The water beagn to ripple some distance a way from the beach as a head began to slowly apear, bobing slowly towards the shore as it's owner advanced, The brown hair on the heads top drifted around it like a main but as it grew nearer it became a dripping black shroud, covering its owners face against the glare of the sun as she emerged from the waves, revealing a slender body with fine 'assests' (if you catch my drift). After a minuit or two she emerged onto the beach, shook herself dry in the same way a dog does and imediatly broke into a run, heading for the snow elf settlement.

James, an elven sergeant was on a diplomatic mission. They were on a boat to send an alliance letter to the elves on the summer Isles. All was quiet until someone yelled," Sir, we have a leak in the boat!"
James cursed under his breath and instantly knew that the Aqua Elves were sabotaging his boat. He was only 100 yards away from his destination though.

King Cedric VI was debating to move all his people to Ralda for the advantage of the mountains for protection, when his messenger came back with the news he had been waiting for.

Wise move heading into Legon. An elvish paradise AND quite easy to defend!
IC: from the dark waters bellow a shape loomed. A very large shape. And it was heading straight for the elves. The shape shot forward, emerging into the light, to reveal it as an elf clinging to a shark that veered off at the last moment, just as it looked like the beast would attack. The male elf that had been clinging to its back released his grip and hung before his distant kin, slits on his neck opening and closing slowly. He looked quizicly at the elves for amoment before beconing with his hand and swiming back down to the twilight below.

The first Burning army was sent out, there first target was to secure a peice of beach to the east of the Summer isles. Once this was done they would be able to create a fleet from that beach and assault the mainland. The First Hell regiment consisted of 30,000 Demons, 6,000 Hell Knights(super-strong infantry) and 30 Hell Spawns. The Burning Army began its march, carrying black flags with red pentagrams on them. The Hell Knights could be seen easier as they were covered in armor and eight feet tall with large double handed swords. Where the Demons tread they left fire in there footprints.

Without any knowledge of the approaching Demons, a Heirosoloan Colony Fleet sailed, with another to be formed as soon as the first colony was founded. The first fleet sailed west to the Windermere, in hopes of gaining an easily defendable resources outpost to help them add to their powerful navy, the second would sail north to Orog to hopefully begin trading and forge diplomatic ties with the Dwarves. Each Colony Fleet had a small naval escort that would be resupplied and sent back when the colony was deemed defendable.

Soon, small elven towns were popping up in the Windermere, with the structures of warships quickly appearing within fortified dry docks. If all went well, soon there would be another Tel'hran naval center to help defend against invaders.

Telkosse pondered again
"We elves live long lives and have even longer memories. We remember the falls of the olden kingdoms, the bravery and cowardice shown those fateful days, how the centaurs helped hold back the demon hordes so that some of my people and others of my kind could survive this is why this alliance between your kind, our kind and the demons gives us pause."
Telkosse continued to think, remembering some of the stories...
"Yet things change as they are wart to do. Tell your master(s), that they need not fear a threat from the south and that the wood elves will not attack him or his demon allies for the moment. but to ally ourselves fully that we must have an elven council in our capital and it will take time.
Now if you please I have other pressings things that need to be taken care of."

Meanwhile, the colony in the Windermere had slowly ground. Within the bogs, multiple cities had started to prosper. "No. You are not." As they reached the inner city the scout grew to a halt. In front of them was a simply massive fountain, one the size of a small castle. On the front of the fountain was a near invisible door that the scout opened. Inside was a flight of winding stairs. "In you go." Was all he said, waiting for the Aquatic Elf to enter before closing the door and returning to his post.
The elf continued to walk forward, not having a clue of where she was going.

A group of scouts watched James from a distance. They quickly materialized from the forest bows raised.
"You are standing on the Summer Isle's, nation controlled by the Tel'hran Snow Elves. We do not need your messages. Leave now, or our arrows will fill your bodies." The first scout eyed him coldly. People did not demand anything of the Tel'hran. And those who did found themselves dead.

Maybe when they try to invade us we'll show them our alliance with the Aquatic Elves. That should give them a nice surprise." In the horizon one could see one of the colony's the elf had created. The march had been long and tiring for most of the demons. This did not stop there blackened souls from continuing. War horns blew in the distance. The Hell Knights walked gorilla-like, grunting as they bullied smaller demons. The roar of one of the Hell Spawns erupted into the clouds as it slithered on the ground. Its tough hide ready for siege warfare. The elven scouts would surely pick them up from a distance....but there would be no mercy.

As the Elven scouts began picking up the Warhorns, the preparations for a siege-counter began. The smaller ships designed to navigate the waters of the Windermere began preparing themselves for war. As soon as the War Horns were heard, a small convoy sailed at a furious pace to the Summer Isles. As soon as it arrived and told of the approaching Demons a group of Warships and cargo ships left the dock to go fight these demons.

The newly finished walls of Elvish marble stood proud, topped with Elven Archers and scouts, watching the Demon army warily. A small group of elven riders left the gate of the colony, speeding towards the enemy army. As soon as they neared the army, they halted.

"Demons! You seek to attack a foe ready to defend itself, when there are so many other targets. You could be cut off from your home defenseless. So why attack us, when you could easily feed off the meat of lesser races. Whatever your reason, prepare to be slain!" And with that, the horse sprinted back to the gate, which shut promptly afterwards.

And true to their word, another Elven fleet, as well as a small army, had begun to dock to the South of the Windermere, in hopes of catching the Demons off guard, to be crushed against the marble walls of the colonies. If the demons were fool enough to fight the Snow Elves in their own home, then they would pay the price.

Within the Snow Elven letter was a desperate message for help.

Dear Aquatic Elves,

We would like to thank you for creating an alliance with us, as well as for trying to help us. We have established colonies in the Windermere, which have recently come under attack from a combined force of Demons and Centaurs. Although we have been successful in repelling a small portion of the Centaur army, when they band together we fear we will be unable to defend our colonies any longer. We were initially going to ask you for help in repelling the Centaur navy, although it looks like we have handled that ourselves.
Instead, we would like your help in defeating the combined armies. The Windermere is full of small rivers, which we thought may help you move your forces, as well as attack. If we can destroy a good portion of either army we will hopefully silence the warmongers for a short while, as well as scare the other army off. Thank you.

20 minuits later a number of boats were clustered above Lantis, distributing armor crafted meticulously out of leather and coral, a continuous stream of wariers swam up to and away from the boats, eventualy all heading in the direction of Windermere.

(Here I'd like to say that they don't swim all the way, that'd be silly, they hitch rides on wildlife such as sharks, whales, whale sharks and the like. Also, seeing how everyone else is being boring and actuly being a little unfair by giving us no chance of intercepting I'm gonna aswell this time, just to keep it fair)

The elves swarmed up the rivers of thier own acord, thanking thier steeds and leaving them to go about thier buisness in the sea, ariving a few hours later at the first snowelf colony where the battle between the fire golems and snowelves was raging. With a mass warcry the elves marched forward to engage the spearmen behing 2 lines of infantry, defending the majority of the army from a cavilry charge while the archers and swordsmen were at the rear.

IC: The centaurs had fired at the convoy. Most members were dead and the surviriors were limping back. King Cedric knew that the Centaurs wouldn't surrender then. He prepped his elite archers called rangers.
The Rangers were specilized sharpshooters that could pick off thier enemies from over 300 yards, further than any in the other kingdoms. The Rangers were also known to sneak up so close to the enemy that they could slit thier throats unnoticed until the man was already dead. He had one of the Rangers to shoot another message of treaty over the kingdom wall.

The message was brought before King Orieus. The King refused to surrender to the Elves. They had to hold the castle untill the southenr elves got his message. He began sending his people into the mountains. All able bodied men were armed and ready to fight. Yet some had to go into the mountains to ensure that the Centaur race continued.
The numbers were now boosted from 10,000 to near 70,000 as the men joined the soldiers. They waited under the cover of the battlemats and fire arrows through the arrow slits in the walls at anyone who approached.

While the Rangers were picking off guards, Cedric lined up the trebuchets and prepared to fire. They fired above the walls with the fire rocks. And into the walls with the 3 shots. The siege had begun. The southern elves couldn't help them now. Scouts had found and slaughtered soe civilians but let the others go.

To make sure that no one got out or in of the castle, King Cedric ordered walls built around it. The was were out of the castle catupault range and they had 3 sections. The 1st was the outer section, to stop reenforcements. The 2nd was a secondary defence. And the 3rd was to keep the centaurs to in the castle. Each section would have 3 100 man patrols spread out evenly. Also he send some archers to guard the mostlylikely passage the southern elves were going to take to get to Legon. Otherwise the elves would have to pass through treatruous territory. These archers numbers over 1000 would ambush them when they came. Meanwhile, Cedric prepped 20 battering rams made of steel. The men driving and handling them were protected from arrows by a foot thick plate of steel. These rams were going to knock down the weakest sectcion of wall allowing calavry to pass through.

OOC: Would be godmodding to say that none of your walls would fall due to 2 days of bombardment and rams.

King Orieus sat on his throne. He was troubled about how his scouts in the mountains hadn't reported the movement of these troops. However he knew his broder force of 15,000 was on the way.

1:00 A.M the next day

The border force had arrived. They were approaching behind the enemy camp. They walked slowly and softly so that they wouldn't alert any patrols. When they were in position the 5,000 archers in the group lit theirarrows on fire and shot them into the enemy camp. Then 5,000 light and 5,000 heavy cavalry charged into the camp aiming to take out the catapults and kill as many soldiers as possible.

Some rams fell, others held. Cedric's trebutches kept firing at the gate. Then Cedric ordered his other, smaller catapults to start firing off the spiked balls of cast iron. Each ball was enough to puverize 2 feet thick walls but would it be enough for this castle?

The vampires had always existed, praying on the Coruneon humans. Of course, they were sure to leave no witnesses. Don't want the secret to get out to the humans. They built sophisticated boats to travel the small strait that separated the Inan and Irman seas, the most loneliest of souls, to get to their prey. However, the elves and centaurs had known for ages.

Vampires were always rather solitary creatures in the sense that they did not ever really join in together for survival, nor needed to. However, there was a hidden city deep inside the farthest reaches of the Sypius Plains that was lead by one of the greater vampires of the age. William Cantelmo. Respected by all the vampires, he, as an outsider may say, was the 'leader' of the race, although the term would be used rather loosely. The vampires merely kept to themselves, rarely associating with other races except humans. And so other races did the same.

However, even the vampires could feel the stirrings of war that were sweeping the continents. The elves and centaurs were rising up, as were the humans. Prey at Coruneon was starting to get scarcer.

Hence, a great conference was called at that most hidden city of the Sypius, where legend had it that the city could only be gotten to by vampires, or by those with them. . It was the first in at least a millennia, possibly two. Time meant nothing to those who were immortal. However, it appeared to be time to meddle in the continental affairs, if only to continue a source of humans so vampires would not die out.

In fact, if the elves and the centaurs were to kill each other over petty squables, the vampires would not matter - as long as the humans stayed. The vampires were the humans' best friends - and mortal enemies.

Vampires everywhere flocked to the hidden city. William Cantelmo called them together, and proposed the main question for the event: Should we meddle in these petty affairs of the elves and centaurs, to preserve the supply of human blood? Immediately the city was a hive of literary outbursts, as the best and brightest contributed. Arguments were started on the way to visit old friends or get fresh food from the stores of the city. Messengers were sent to the elves and centaurs, informing them of the waking of the great hibernation of the vampires.

Enemies of the humans, beware.

IC: James thought, why is it always me that gets sent on the diplomatic missions. He sighed and left the thought alone. He had to make an alliance with the vampires and help them enslave and breed humans to feed on. James thought this rather disgusting. But it was just a mission. Nothing to worry about, unless he was shot in the head.

A vampire slowly ran across the endless sand dunes - or at least it appeared slow to James. When it finally caught up, it simply said one thing. "You are tresspassing on land that does not belong to you, elf. State your purpose." It then showed its teeth. Let's see this guy's resolve. Can we drink elves' blood? Do they have blood?

William Cantelmo read the letter aloud to the whole population, then simply stated: "We will wait until further notice from other races. They will all promise us the same thing if they know best: we get the human race. We must wait, my brothers and sisters."

The city was abuzz after his remark, as well as to what the race should do. Almost all agreed that the vampires should form up together in order to protect the human race. But than most of them disagreed on how to do it.

As the fierce battle of its own raged inside the hidden city, hopefully other races were coming with their own treaties and agreements.
