The many hundreds, and possible thousands of pale skinned, pasty faced and overweight nerds worked hard and long into the night, to accomplish a goal, they were hired by the government, in order to mass spam the world, every inbox, every mail system, even hijacking ever satalite system for the purpose of sending a New year greeting, they did it all.

w00t! Happy New Year, and good luck in the coming year to all!

It was midnight in Lynion and almost every single Lynion had come out onto the streets as they watched the Palace light up with signals and lights. It was an order given that the central towers on every island and the Palace Tower on Lynx Island suddenly lit up. Countless fireworks went off as the citizens cheered on the New Year coming through as many had started to kiss random opposite genders for the sake of the New Year. It was fantastic and many citizens contiuned to party through the night.



Western Australia, Australia the time is: 12:32am 1st of January 2009!

Although the High Lord had died, the Anemonian Government made a point of encouraging festivities and today, instead of blocking off crowds, Anemonian Metropolitan Policemen, dressed in their black uniforms, were running through the streets, leading the festivities. Fireworks were launched into the air, and soon the whole city of Anemos Rei was chanting New Year's hymns.

On the other hand, in the city of Myrsterei everything was different. The merchants there had made a massive chain of boats down the river running through the old city, and on each boat, torches and lamps glowed, filling the sky with glowing lights. And then fireworks began to spray from every ship, and the sky was filled with the dragon emblem of the city. The fireworks were fired very precisely and carefully, making it look as if the dragon was twisting and turning and finally it breathed fire into the air and the citizens looking on from below roared.

The naval soldiers manning the citadel of Karonin, the home of the Imperial Fleet of Anemos Major, turned the guns of the ancient battleships that had been docked for the last time in 1952 beside the port's entrance, and the massive guns pounded into the sky, accompanied by the cheering of thousands of troops. F-22 Raptors launched into the air from the carriers stationed at Karonin, and began to spray glowing smoke trails into the air. They twisted and turned in the air like the wyvern on the crest of Anemos Major, and underneath soldier continued cheering. More planes launched from the carriers, and an impromptu parade was carried out over Karonin, accompanied by the frenzied shouts of Anemonian troops.

And finally, in Savronin Citadel, the air force prepared a trio of B-2 Spirits. Today they weren't armed with nuclear weapons or precision guided bombs; no, today they were loaded to the brim with massive fireworks, which they would 'deploy' over Anemos Rei.

The Happy New Year in Anemos Major was truly a monumental event. And it wasn't over yet.

In Mayaqoo.

The Happy New Year in the capital of Mayaqoo was amazing. So many people counted down in houses, had some drinks, and watched the news. As everyone counted "3, 2, 1" anxiously, lots of fireworks were released. On "0!!", the skies exploded with light and sound of all kinds. People jumped out of their houses, and started towards the city center, where there were free drinks and food being given out to celebrate the new year. The government funded a lottery, where many more people could participate than usual, because the tickets were cheap. The largest prize was 2 billion NSD! Queen Antoinette made a grand speech to the people of Mayaqoo to show her gratitude for the past year of support for her. As her voice rang out across the country, aired by most TV channels, people cheered and drank toasts merrily.

The B-2s roared over Myrsterei, and because they were flying at a subsonic speed, pretty much everyone looked up to see the three oddly shaped 'wings' fly into the distance. The pause was very brief, however; someone shipped out a barrel of beer, and hollered "This round's on me, gentlemen!"

In Anemos Rei, Leclerc tanks rolled down the main road, followed by a cheering, slightly drunk crowd escorted by a loose crowd of policemen. More and more people joined the massive crowd as it made its way towards the outer city, and the crowd approached the exit from the Inner Citadel, where the Inquisitorial Guard swung open the gates silently. Soon, the massive crowd arrived outside the city, and then the B-2s came, dropping their payload. The fireworks exploded and painted the words "Happy New Year 2009- ANEMOS MAJOR!" across the sky, drawing a massive cheer from the crowds and they began chanting again.

Soon, 'reinforcements' from ARIA and Anemos Rei Military Airbase arrived, and F-22s, Rafales and F-35s did rolls and flybys over Anemos Rei. People watched in awed silence and in the city itself, the six massive 800mm guns on the inner citadel walls fired blanks into the air, rocking the ground but the massive steel reinforced walls didn't even shake as the guns pounded out shot after shot. The cheers of the people were muffled by the massive booms, but soon the crowd was shouting so loud not even all six guns firing simultaneously could drown out the sound. In each household, people opened a bottle of the best liquor they had, and to those unfortunate enough not to have liquor, B-52s dropped crates filled with cans of beer. Each box had the number 2009 printed on it, and inside the B-52s, New Year decorations hung inside the bomb bays.
