The current Fanrai goverment is a threat to many nations. It is corrupt, greedy, and power hungry. The only way to stop this is to put one person and the army in power. Help me defeat this corrupt goverment and help the world.

"Interesting," Kazyenko said, sprawled out on a couch in front of a TV. The room was entirely dark, save the flickery light coming from the TV and illuminating the Prime Minister's face. From somewhere in the darkness came a shuffling, beckoing a quick glance from Vladimir.
"Sir, how shall we act?"
The voice was regarding the TV, which showed the aftermath of the CAP's coup.
"Like always," Kazyenko replied, his eyes still fixed onto the screen. "Get the press. It's been a while since we've helped in a regime change."

Kazyenko Independence Tower, Falkasia, 10:32 AM
On the white marble steps of the world's tallest building stood the Prime Minister, neatly dressed in a handmade Kiravian suit, surronded on all by assistants and staff. As the reporters in front of him waited anxiously for him to begin, he cleared his throat.

"People of Falkasia, a historic event has occured to day! Not here in our glorious country, but in the nation of Fanrai. The small group of insurgents are currently attempting to overthrow the President, on the grounds of supposed corruption! It has come to our attention however, that this army of rebels is exactly what they are trying to fight against, corrupt and ruthless to the core. However, the same cannot be said for the President. He is neither capable of leading the country, nor capable of supporting the people of Fanrai either.

He paused to catch his breath.

"Therefore.... it is with great pride and vigor that I am deploying the 1st Army Corps into Fanrai to help quell the violence and ensure victory for the people of Fanrai, and establish a new government with a new leader to withstand the coming years.

(AP) His Majesty Rachid I adressed the Daar Berrani people today by radio.

"My fellow Berrani, events in the soverign nation of Fanrai have taken a dark and insidious turn. Today, we have learned that a foreign power, Falkasia, has decided to intervene in the wholly internal conflict between the rightfully elected President of Fanrai and the rebel leader, General Gastoon.

As you all know, many Berrani citizens enjoy the warmth and hospitality of Fanrai during the holidays, and for many years they have been one of our of few trading partners and a principle consumer of Berrani Pickled Stink Sardines.

We therefore call upon the international community to condemn the agressive imperialist actions of Falkasia, and to dispatch international monitors to Fanrai to ensure that foreign hands do not intervene in the matter of rebellion, which is an entirely soverign Fanrai manner.

Daar Berrani will commit 150 peacekeeping monitors to this action, under the aegis of our Foreign Minister, Abu Mushkil."

Today, at the Berrani Palace of Diplomacy, Abu Mushkil, Foreign Minister for His Majesty Rachid I, adressed a special meeting of the nation's diplomatic staff. Calling the Fanrai revolt a "purely Fanranian matter" he expressed disappointment that "The International community has rejected calls for restraint and calm, spurning His Majesty's generous offer of observer personnell."

The citizens and government of Daar Berrani will continue watching the developments in Fanrai with great vigilance, and stand willing to assist in whatever humble way they can, lest the soverign nation of Fanrai be torn apart and devoured by regional powers intent on imposing their will on that proud and noble people.

Somewhere Over Fanrai, 8:32 PM; Later That Same Night
As the sound of engines hummed in the distance, the sky over Fanrai slowly darkened into a single, unrelenting blackout. High above flew an armada of Falkasian C-10 Minotaur aircraft, each laiden with hundreds of troops and equipment bound for the country in turmoil.

As they approached their destination, the planes descended in a well choreographed wave, slowly extending their rear loading ramps as they went. Faint pin-pricks of light began to illuminate the sky. As near-endless waves of soldiers threw themselves out of the planes, parachutes began to fill the air. Each one seemed to compete for space as they gently drifted towards the ground. It was all very chaotic, and yet all very orderly at the same time.

With a thousand thuds, the soldiers, supplies, and vehicles impacted the ground. Most of the troops landed well within the pre-definied landing zones, although as to be expected, a few groups drifted off course. Until the main Falkasian force arrrived by means of land, the Airborne would have to fend for themselves deep inside the hostile country. However, the single Airborne Division had the advantage of numbers over General Gastoon's forces, outnumbering them 2 to 1.

The first order of business would be to establish an HQ somewhere near a workable "front."

======

Preceding the armada of transport planes were multiple F-111 Raven Electronic Warfare Aircraft, ordered to fly ahead of the approaching task force and knock out any and all ground emplacements and defensive batteries. As the planes approached their targets, their crew activated the numerous ESM suites on board. One by one, the defensive stations far below on the Fanrainian soil began to go dark, losing all power and control over electronic equipment. SAM missiles, which only moments before worked, were rendered immobile and dead, as well RADAR Stations and various systems inside grounded vehicles. Upon reaching the end of their attack coordinate grid, the planes angled upwards, their dark underbelly concealing them from the ground as the disappeared into the inky depths of night.

Concerning the recent actions of the Dehko Government
[-To the Dehko and Daar Berrani Governments-]

First off, we demand you remove your naval vessels from Daar Berrani waters. An unnecessary show of force with propaganda being dropped is completely out of the question. You cannot simply go sailing into any nation's waters and begin firing on their land. Therefore, if you do not remove yourselves, we will forcefully peel you off the Daar Berrani beach like a parasite. We would wish for native help if possible, Daar Berrani. Thank you.

The Heirosoloan Government holds no record of this message.

[--Unofficial Heirosoloan Communique--]
Concerning your invasion and possible annexation of Fanrai
[-To the Falkasian Government-]

As our nation is relatively small, we would be happy to exchange forces to help you in your invasion and possible annexing of Fanrai in return for a small amount of land. If not, we will still send our younger troops as a simple training exercise. We trust that there will be very little to do by the time they land.

The Heirosoloan Government holds no record of this message.

To: Dekho
From: Falkasia
First and foremost, why are you even bothering asking for land, when in the first place you came to help overthrow the President? This wasn't about land for you in the beginning, but helping a bofoon gain power inside the country. Why so sudden a change of heart, and why should we even bother letting you join in on the annexation when we could just as easily crush you? Furthermore, simply why should we trust you? You've just openly attacked Daar Berrani with almost no grounds to justify your actions. How can we feel safe and secure with aggressive forces along our newly conquered borders? Lastly, we also condemn your hostile actions against Daar Berrani and demand a full withdrawl from both their costal and territorial waters. If it is needed, we will also dispatch the 12th Fleet to deal swiftly and mercilessly with your ships.

Having known you to be a very trustworthy and honorable nation in the past, and the fact that you have done no wrong to the Great Republic of Falkasia, we feel that it would only be fair for you to take a small share of the land that will be under our control soon. As soon as we can acquire a map of the country of Fanrai, we can begin dividing up the country into territorial districts.

From an emergency Daar Berrani newsreel playing in all theatres before films:

Announcer: Dateline: Medina Berrani! His Majesty, Rachid I, meets with ministers of his cabinet at a secret location to discuss the latest Dekhonian provocation.

(The film shows Rachid I, wearing a simple millitary garment without decoration. He is apparently giving a speech, waving his hands in the air, occasionally pounding his fist on a long table littered with the Dekhonian propaganda leaflets. At the end of the speech, the camera pans back to show the ministers rising to their feet, cheering.)

Announcer: It's unanimous! His Majesty and his cabinet have rejected the Dekhonian demands of surrendering 150 Berrani policemen, to serve as hostages for their twisted goals!

Second Announcer: Dateline: Medina Hoat! Residents of this coastal village inspect damage done by the unprovoked initiation of hostilities by the Dekhonians! Major Abu Busla of Medina Hoat claims that Dekhonian shells mostly passed over the town and landed in lemon groves, but at least three private homes and an elementary school have been obliterated.

(The film shows men restraining a screaming woman as she attmepts to run into a pile of burning rubble. Ambulances are loading what look like peices of bodies in the far distance. The scene switches to a man shouting curses at the sky as his modest dwelling burns.)

Third Announcer: Meanwhile, in the east, Minister of War Abu Harb reviews the dedicated troops of his majesty's small, but brave, army.

(The film shows a formation of excellently camofaluaged men carrying snub-nose assault rifles and what look like enormous satchel charges. The angle changes to show an elderly man somewhere in the mountains polishing an antiquated long rifle and smiling.)

First Announcer: Remember! The Dekhonian menace will stop at nothing to enslave our people and loot our fertile lands. Don't discuss millitary matters in public! Report to your local Resistance Organizer today! And remember, round hips sink ships!

ooc: Sorry, but that wasn't the greatest answer. See, we can't compete w/ falkasia for Fanrainian territory, so...

A Dekho fleet sailed into Daar Berrani waters. Armed with a supercarrier and 2 battleships, they pulled up to the shore.

The Admiral- his nametag identified him as Theo- stood on deck.

"What do we do, sir?" asked a sailor.

"well, we're here to make a statement about fiddling with Dekho plans, so..."

The big guns were fired onto the shore. Meanwhile, aircraft took off, flying over civilians heads and dropping leaflets demanding the surrender of the peacekeeprs.

OOC: Dehko, land any troops and I will turn your cities into piles of smouldering rubble. I do not take kindly to unjustified invasions - which this is. Just a friendly warning. However, I make an exception in the case of Falkasia.

Cockleshell Beach Airforce Base, Ustio North...

Ten Tu-166s of the Fleet Air Arm taxied into position on the runway. They would soon be airborne, and had orders to sink the Dehko carrier stationed off the coast of Daar Berrani if it did not withdraw within 24 hours.

St. Molo Sub Pens, Dinadan Island...

Three Typhoon Class submarines slid below the waves, the Wolf painted on the nose vanishing into the water. They too were tasked with sinking the Dehko battleships if they were not withdrawn. And since they were battleships, they would probably not have any defence against the subs torpedoes.

Amid the chaos of the Fanrainian President's overthrow, and the over joyous declaration of Gastoon as its King, a single Falkasian saboteur was able to sneak inside the city and take up position in a building across the street from the main administrative center. Disguised as a refugee, he was able to gain entrance into the city without drawing any attention. His equipment had been smuggled in earlier by a few Fanrainian nationals with supposed ties to the Falkasian government.

Taking up position in a window on the 4th floor, the assassin readied his Barrett rifle. Gently, he rested its extended bipod on an overturned wardrobe positioned directly in front of the apartment's window. Crouching down, he brought his rifle to bear and looked down the 26x scope, aiming it towards the main entrance into the administrative building across the way. All he had to do was wait, wait for the dog Gastoon to show himself and pull the trigger. Then, it would be as simple as walking to the nearest park where a Falkasian CH-53 would pick him up and transport him back to the nearby Falkasian HQ.

Announcer: We're here today in Medina Hoat, where celebrations have broken out following the retreat of Dekhosian forces! After increasing pressure from the international community, infuriated by the cowardly and unprovoked assault on the Berrani coast, the Dekhosians have finally seen reason and fled the scene!

(The camera pans out over the city, where banners can be seen proclaiming a great victory over foreign imperialism. Masked men are firing rifles into the air, and impromptu dance parties have sprung up in the intersections.)

Announcer: But not all are celebrating! Those who lost their homes and family members are demanding government action! Jennifer Castiron, resident of Medina Hoat, lost six of her seven children when a Dekhosian anti-personnel shell struck the prefectural grammar school. She claims that her neighbors lost their parents when power to the local hopsital was cut due to damage for the attack. Though quickly restored, our noble power distribution crews were not in time to restart the iron kidneys in which the couple had been recuperating.

Jennifer CastIron: "We will not rest until every Dekhosian product is pulled from the shelves of our supermarkets, until all Dekhosian sympathizers are found and rooted out, and until their filthy propaganda channels have been removed from our satellite televisions!

Announcer: His Majesty Rachid I emerged from his secure location today to review troops that had been called up in case of a Dekhosian invasion. While inspecting commandos from the Navy's special Underwater Demolitions Unit, he expressed confidence that any Imperialist Dekhosian Invaders woud have been slaughtered before setting foot on Soverign Berrani soil. Meanwhile, his Majesty's cabinet ministers have approved a plan to put in place the infrastructure necessary to rapidly mine Berrani waters in case of a future attempt by Imperialist powers to enslave our proud land!

It was a little after midnight when the bombers took off, all 15 of them. They were B-1B Lancer bombers, having been placed on high alert preceding the Falkasian invasion of Fanrai. Although each one was going on roughly 20 years off age, they were still in top quality operating condition and remained a force to be reckoned with. Their surfaces were in pristine condition, the stunning moonlight shinning off their Naval Gray exteriors. Each aircraft was loaded with 25 JDAM Laser-guided munitions, with a total of 375 munitions between them. Each was bound for one of multiple targets across Fanrai's capitol city, and guaranteed to hit their mark.

As the aircraft approached the city, their ESM suites were turned on. Each plane echoed death as one by one, the air defense stations and emplacements below went dark. SAM Batteries and RADAR stations which had been working perfectly only moments before suddenly went dead, likely never to work again. The bomb bays of the B-1s slowly opened, their metal components glistening in the moonlight. Then, one by one, the bombs fell free from the carriage and plummetted to earth. The silence of night was suddenly broken by the sounds of shrieking bombs and shortly there after, the resulting explosions of light and sound. Archaic air raid sirens began to blare, although by the time the came on, the B-1Bs were already well behind Falkasian lines.

In total, 375 Laser Guided bombs had been dropped, 100 of which directed at the main government building and the supposed location of Gastoon. It may have been overkill, but that's how the Falkasians liked to do it.

In a statement released today, the government of his Majesty Rachid I condemned reports of Falkasian actions in the Fanrainian revolt. Speaking to a class of cadets finishing cryptological training in the Asymmetric Warfare Corps, he said "This is a purely internal matter, and the international community should be engaged in diplomatic efforts to bring the different factions to negotiations, instead of engaging in a campaign of indiscriminate violence to further aggresive imperialist agendas." His Majesty also expressed concerns over (as of yet unverified) reports that cluster munitions and depleted uranium had been used in last night's action. Officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are reported to be working with officials from the Ministry of Truth and Surveillance to process satellite and airborne intercept data so as to determine the civillian death toll from the Falkasian raid.

A large group of Heirosoloan APCs began heading for Falkasian setup, escorted by a group of tanks and reconnaissance vehicles. Far above them, three cargo Zeppelins began the descent, followed by a group of UAVs and air-superiority craft. By the time the Zeppelins had broken the line of clouds the APCs and their escorts were setting up a much smaller base camp next to the Falkasian setup. The Zeppelins began to land on a makeshift airport. The soldiers who were in the APCs first began creating a crude runway for the aircraft to and on, then began setting up hangars and tents to store the troops and machinery. By the end of the day the Heirosoloan camp had been set up, looking small compared to the Falkasian force.

OOC: Ok, I'm gonna make OOC comments to the posts above in order. It's the only way I can do it without loosing my mind.
-First, Daar Berrani, it's not exactly indiscriminate hostile action. I'm using Laser-guided JDAM bombs, the same bombs used just recently as precision attack munitions in Iraq/Afghanistan, and against military and governmental targets only. Secondly, I haven't used any cluster bombs or Godrods yet. However, if your intent was for the information to be purposefully altered, then I apologize and just completely ignore above.
-Now onto Heirosoloa. It's perfectly fine. I believe my bombers can handle whatever this guy can throw at me, lol. As for land division, it'll be better than that at about 80/20 if that works.
-Now Fanrai. First of all, your people would not have been able to detect the bombs coming, as the B-1s had used their ESM suites to knock out almost all ground-based air defenses and detection equipment. Radar throughout the city would ahve gone dark. Second of all, if you had detected bombs incoming, Gastoon would have about 1 second or so to make his way all the way down into the tunnels before the bomb detonated. Thirdly, JDAM bombs have bunkerbusting capabilites, and all 100 would ahve not only flattened the Captiol building, but pretty much collpased any tunnels underneath. Again, sorry about the huge OOC post. My IC post will follow now.

"Daar Berrani... Dekho sympathizers...harmed...hostile actions taken...Dekho nationals on vacation...troops called up...recommend action."

----------------
Letter, Crown Prince Aristo to His Majesty Rachid I

The Dekho fleet that issued a warning to your nation is anchored 5 miles off of your waters, on international waters. Our State Department says that 24 Dekho nationals, all civilians, are currently in Daar Berrani. We request that they be delivered to the fleet for return home in light of recent calls for violence. We also intend to give political asylum to any "Dekho sympathizers" as well, and request that they be delivered to the fleet.

On a rather more serious note we wish to comment on the fact that Daar Berrani has called up troops specifically to fight Dekho. We find this to be an unacceptable act of belligerence and desire that they be disbanded and returned to their ordinary tasks immediately.

We also recommend that you not mine your waters. It is common knowledge that seafood is one of your national staples, and putting mines in your water would be disastrous to any fishing fleets.

With all due respect,

ooc: Yeah, but they can still be cut down. I didn't call you an explosive, i was referring to Falk's grenades, bombs, etc. They vastly outnumber you. Delta Force lost 8 people in the Iranian Embassy Hostage Crisis. You can't keep up an invasion like this w/ 25 people.

It's not an invasion. It's something to harrass his military while Falk takes them out.

For a antion of your relative size, asking for 1/10 of the land and 1/5 of the weath is overly greedy. It would only take us a heartbeat to eliminate any threat you could pose against our forces, so we believe that the following deal is overly generous.
At the conclusion of combat operations, you shall recieve 1/20 of the land, and 1/10 of the wealth, all of which will be divided up following the conquest of Fanrai. We hope that these new terms shall be to your liking.

In the middle of the night, 25 troops were deployed from Chinook helicopters. They only knew what their mission was. Assassinate the Fanarian General. They had trained for weeks, preparing for the moment of opportunity. They would suceed, this was what they were born to do. They set out with full gear and were ready to do thier jobs.

OOC: You can't deploy soldiers from Apache helicopters. They're gunships, not transports.

ooc what do I do know?
Falkasia
02-03-2009, 01:09
OOC: It's understandable that you didn't have a computer, but it was always a possiblity that you could have borrowed one or used one at a local library.

As for now, I have no clue. Talk to a few of the other nations that have been "subjugated," or just play my colony for now.

02-03-2009, 01:10
ooc do you think I should start a rebelion so I can get my country back?
Falkasia
02-03-2009, 01:12
OOC: As I said above, you can do a few things. First, is RP as a colony of said country. Secondly, you could take a look at what others countries have done who were taken over. Lastly, and the least advised, is quit and start a new nation.
Fanrai
