The Autocratic Theocracy of Buddha C has declared war against the Kingdom of the Royal British States.

SIC:
The Following Forces Have Been Dispatched to the Colony of Northwestern Drakovia

21st Cnian Naval Battle Group:
2 Kittyhawk Class Carrier
2 Enterprise Class Carriers
8 Nimitz Class Carriers
6 Wasp Class Amphibious Assault Ships
3 Tarawa Amphiboius Assault Ships
16 Ohio Class Submarines
6 Virginia Class Submarines
3 Seawolf Class Submarines
40 Los Angelos Class Submarines
18 Ticonderoga Class Cruisers
23 Oliver Hazard Perry Class Frigates
500,000 Cnian Royal Marines

3rd Cnian Naval Battle Group:

2 Kittyhawk Class Carrier
2 Enterprise Class Carriers
8 Nimitz Class Carriers
6 Wasp Class Amphibious Assault Ships
3 Tarawa Amphiboius Assault Ships
16 Ohio Class Submarines
6 Virginia Class Submarines
3 Seawolf Class Submarines
40 Los Angelos Class Submarines
18 Ticonderoga Class Cruisers
23 Oliver Hazard Perry Class Frigates
500,000 Cnian Royal Marines

Forty Los Angelos-Class submarines flanked each side, but they were about half a kilometer away from the main fleet, but several EA-18G units were hovering above them jamming the enemy RADAR, another thirty-eight were passively (and some actively) jamming the enemy's capabilities. The decks aboard the carriers we coming alive with live as EA-18G units had to be refueled and such, along with the armament of the YA-42"E" and F-14 Fighters.

Among the cruisers, frigates and transport ships was a similar sight, over a thousand helicopters of all different assortments were being pre-flight checked, fueled, armed up and filled with Royal Cnian Marines. A total of over twenty-two thousand Marines could be moved in one wave just using the helicopters in one fleet, with both armadas coordinating themselves there could be a mass of over forty-four thousand Marines charging at one target at a time, with air support and ship-to-target fire.

[OOC: Lmao, that fleet costs more than your entire defense budget >.<]

The Mainr Heptar ordered that the submarines move in to attack the flanks, but to remain hidden using the EA-18Gs jammers to cover them. The main fleet fired off eight hundred YA-42"E" Air Superiority fighters, another three hundred A-10 Thunderbolts and two hundred F-14 Fighter Bombers, of course this entire movement would take a good amount of time to pull off, but the EA-18Gs would keep their exact location a mystery.

The some thousand helicopters began their rotary blades as they would be called in the fly low and land on six of the Huptshadt-Class Carriers and capture them. In the back of the fleets were stationed thirty-two Ohio-Class SSBN, and they would be used to full capability as five minutes before all of the aircraft were off-deck they would fire their full armament of seven hundred sixty-eight Trident II D5 SLBMs, this maneuver would take a bit of time but once the entire volley was launched the full force of the aircraft that weren't on deck would be unleashed.

[OOC: [Missile Targets]
100 Trident Missiles at twelve of the Huptstadt-Class Carriers (the six aimed to be boarded were spared)
70 Trident Missiles at twenty-five Verteidiger CLG Cruisers
71 Trident Missiles at Twenty AmboB CLG Cruisers
100 Trident Missiles at every class of Battleship/cruiser each (300 Trident Missiles)
60 Trident Missiles at twenty Stark FFG Frigates
60 Trident Missiles at twenty Riech FFG Frigates
60 Trident Missiles at twenty PreuBisch FFG Frigates
25 Trident Missiles at twenty Hollefeuer DDG Destroyers
22 Trident Missiles at twenty Schneestrum DDG Destroyers]
Royal British States
29-12-2008, 12:13
OOC: I cant imagine a thousand helicopters in the sky. Too congested? lol.

As the trident missiles were going to hit the ships, one by one, the ships started to maneuver. But as fate decided, some ships were hit.

Ships sunk:

5 Huptstadt carriers
15 Verteigider Cruisers
10 AmboB cruisers
20 battleships
25 cruisers
5 Stark frigates
5 Riech Frigates
10 PreuBisch Frigates
10 Hollefeuer Destroyers
10 Schneestrum Destroyers

Upon seeing that almost half of the entire fleet was gone, The Admiral of the Fleet, James Cruise called in the carriers. Bombers then flew close to the enemy fleet and bombed them. The Royal Air Force flew bombers from the nearby air bases on land and the bombs finally reached the enemy fleet.

Bombers' target:

* 1 Kittyhawk Class Carrier
* 1 Enterprise Class Carriers
* 5 Nimitz Class Carriers
* 6 Wasp Class Amphibious Assault Ships
* 2 Tarawa Amphiboius Assault Ships
* 10 Ticonderoga Class Cruisers

The EA-18G AN/ALQ-99 Jammers worked wonders as the enemy missiles didn't have a target to lock onto, or the ones that did lock on had an incredibly high rate of getting hit. However, some ships still were hit by several of the bomber's torpedoes and missiles, (how many bombers did you launch?) but the bombers had traded damage for being surrounded by eight hundred Air-Superiority Fighters that began to open up with seven hundred AIM-120 missiles. The F-14s opened fire on the remaining ships with four hundred AGM-114N Hellfire I missiles. The A-10 Thunderbolts (II) they split into seven groups of equal number and broke off to attack the remaining carriers, they would rely heavily on 3 LAU-61 pods to bring down the ships and their ECM pods to help against returning fire. Every unit fired off one of their LAU-61 pods across the tops of the enemy carriers, a total of five thousand seven hundred Hydra 70mm unguided missiles, these of course would take several passes to completely unload, leaving the A-10s targets if their ECMs were to fail or if a missile locked on anyways, plus anti-air cannons could hit them with a moderate success rate.

Thirteen hundred sixty helicopters began to take off from each ship, they all formed about twenty-six lines, each line having to hold about fifty helicopters each behind it. The helicopters flew low, below the deck of all large vessels, the first few rows were filled with the more armored Mi-25 Attack/Transport helicopters that would begin opening fire on the six targeted carriers. The forty Los Angeles class submarines on each flank of the enemy opened fire with a mighty salvo of three hundred twenty Harpoon Anti-Shipping missiles. These were all aimed at the remaining known ships of the first enemy fleet, except the carriers that are being attempted to be boarded.

"This is Mainr Heptar John Wilson, does your nation wish to negotiate?"

[OOC: To fly that many it wouldn't confusing, but it WOULD have to be EXTREMELY coordinated. BTW, next time please tell me how many bombers and how many missiles.

Downed:
1 Kitty Hawk Carrier [Taking on Water]
1 Enterprise Carrier [Hit 3 Times, not heavily damaged, except communications is wacked, slowing down the speed at which they unload and land planes]
3 Nimitz Carriers [Hit 2-6 Times, mild to severe damage]
1 Tarawa Transport [Damaged Slightly]
7 Ticonderoga Cruisers [Badly Damaged]
3 Ticonderoga Cruisers [Sinking]]

"Alright the terms are simple and as follows." The following text note was sent to the commander.

Terms of Agreement to Cease-Fire #1:

Become a Protectorate of Buddha C
Hand over your military assets to Buddha C, and the protection of your nation will also be ensured
We will provide finicial aid to your nation
We will pay 100,000 @# (Domas) to the family of each soldier we have killed
You may have a vote on whether you'd like to remain nuetral or fight on the side of Buddha C

Terms of Agreement to Cease-Fire #2:

Surrender your carriers to the Cnian Navy or Repay for the damage done to the Cnian Navy
Allow Positioning of a naval base in the North-Western Drakovia
Send a million volunteer troops to help fight on the side of Buddha C
We will pay 100,000 @# (Domas) to the family of each soldier we have killed
You will not be attacked/harassed/or blockaded by the IFA / and vice-versa
You remain sovereign, and if asked upon the Cnian Military will come to your aid.

29-12-2008, 13:01
OOC: I dont see you asking Sans Semes that

IC:

"We refuse your terms. Your terms are too way off line"
Buddha C
29-12-2008, 13:03
[OOC: True, but he isn't as much of a threat as you are. ;-) EDIT: But if Sans Semmes is attacked and asks for help he won't get any you would. He had no carriers remaining and decided to pay back the debt, and I didn't even send the families any cash, lol.]

There was only the following reply, "Hail us when you find yourself willing to live."

The helicopter and aircraft assaults continued as they had been stopped for a short while for the negotiations, the helicopters would take about ten minutes to begin to fly in their old pattern, but all the aircraft immediately went back to their designated targets.

Buddha C
29-12-2008, 13:19
"The conditions stand as they are."

The barrage continued, this time with the frigates and cruisers joining in. The number of missiles sent from the cruisers was ninety-six Harpoon AShM missiles, fired at all the ships in the fleet (except the always excluded), and the frigates fired off a total of a hundred ninety-two Harpoon AShM.
Royal British States
29-12-2008, 13:22
The entire fleet retreated a little, trying to avoid the missiles and the commander decided to contact the enemy forces.

"Hold on your hostile activities. I think we can sort out the conditions."
Buddha C
29-12-2008, 13:23
"What do you propose?"
Royal British States
29-12-2008, 13:25
"How about this"

* Repay for the damage done to the Cnian Navy
* Allow Positioning of a naval base in the North-Western Drakovia
* You will not be attacked/harassed/or blockaded by the IFA / and vice-versa
* You remain sovereign, and if asked upon the Cnian Military will come to your aid.

"Add to that a retraction of your declaration of war and we have a deal."
Royal British States
29-12-2008, 13:30
"Is there anything else you want except a retraction of the declaration of war? We are part of ODECON - and so legally we have to fight"
Buddha C
29-12-2008, 13:32
"Then you better pull out of ODECON. Look you basically have two options. Take the offer, or have your entire fleet wiped out by aircraft, ships, submarines and helicopters. I mean, it really isn't a very difficult choice."

[OOC: Well, they'd have to sail for a bit to get to your country, and since it looks like about another hour of fighting between your men and mine, so unless they teleport here you're screwed. That or my Admiral will simply get tired of you stalling and finish you off, but if you want to take that chance, by all means, do. :D]

"Damn them to hell," muttered Lieutenant Ed as he handed him the field glasses to Captain Richards as the tower of the submarine stood tall above the waters as waves crashed against it.

"The Royal British States have taken a hell load of a beating from what we seen," replied Richards as he studied the battlefield. "The Home Fleet looks stuffed from what I've seen,"

"What's the numbers like?" demanded Richards as Ed took out his PDA and checked the outlook of the battle.

"We've only got about 60 submarines and five prototypes we're meant to be escorting to Lynx," replied Ed as the pair went back into the submarines as the submarine fleet started to head far underwater.

"This is Texan calling Royal British States Government," started Texan, the radio operator, over an extremely secured channel. "Come in RBS, what the hell has happened to your Home Fleet?" finished Texan as the submarine fleet was moving again through International Waters.

OOC: Did you think I'll forget about you RBS?

"Hot diggity!" replied Texan as a smaller scale hologram of Tzu appeared before Captain Richards about the current situation. "Did you think we'll won't ignore our allies? Just hold up a second. See if you can stall them for ten seconds,"

Richards smiled as Tzu was joined with Woff as the predicted scale of the battlefield was setup. It was done with purposed positions of the enemy fleet and the Home Fleet. Woff looked around as he nodded his head for a moment as he explained the plan to Richards who then smiled. If the plan worked, the enemy would have a hard time chasing the Home Fleet.

"Put me through the channel to RBS," started Woff as his voice was connected to the radio. "We've got a plan that can engage the enemy but I need you to do something for us so the plan can work. I want you to make a run and go around your ports and head directly down your coast. We're about 500 miles off your coast and we'll be in position, and we'll be moving about. Keep running and re-group. By then, we'll be engaging the enemy naval forces right on top of us. We've got un-manned aircraft giving us air support. When the engagement begins, you need to hold out until more raiders and mercs join the fight," finished Woff as he took a deep breath. "I've already got them inbound, but you need to hold out until they come," concluded Woff as he stopped talking.

"Bloody hell!" started Richards. "Our sub's can't fire straight up. That's impossible and even..."

"Hold it captain," interuppted Woff as he started to make his point. "Your cruise missiles will be firing directly into the bastards stomach causing them to split open. They'll be too busy with the drones (un-man aircraft) to bugger about what's below. Those bastards are going to be hit from every direction and we're going to f**king give it to them," concluded Woff as the men cheered:

"Hoorah!"

OOC:

A) Enemy Navy is always going to be a threat to an invading force. You have driven them off, but as long the Home Fleet is around, your ships are going to be engaged.

B) The navy is usually the pride and joy of an islanders nation. Wiping it out would have some effect on the Defenders morale

C) They can come back and cut off your supply point.

Lastly, there's stacks of reasons why the enemy navy needs to be wiped out before you can have a successfully landing force arrive.

29-12-2008, 14:14
[OOC: Ah, that would work for an invasion force, but I was simply going to bomb their government buildings until they had no bureaucratic ground to stand on, then wait for them to return. Of course I would devout a large portion of my submarines to defending this specific supply point, but the fleet was shot to shit, man, it couldn't have put up much of fight, but another point is that it would probably looked like they abandoned their posts since their communication is pretty bad. Nevermind, anyways, those are my points. Awaiting for reply and upcoming battle. ;-)]

My Palace, Ministries, Higher Ministries are in different areas.
Lynion

OOC: It means a lot. Even without a head, I can take the RBS Home Fleet under my command (If its allowed) and use it with a combination of Lynion Naval Forces and drive you off and out of RBS waters. Basically, you either engage a smaller and less commanding force now or engage a ruthless tatician with a bigger force than your own. Also, if RBS is smart enough, he would've removed his leaders from the capital and sent them into bunkers.

Question for you:

Would you engage the RBS Fleet and Lynion's smaller fleet now with a under-train leadership as their command or take on a larger and more veteran force alongside the remaining RBS Navy?

Honestly, if I knew about your plan ICly I'd be more inclined to follow you, since I can take both your fleets, and basically all I'm doing is giving your men time to re-group with the Lynions.]

A) You bomb the living daylights out of RBS for his leaders while wasting large amounts of ammo and stretching your forces. With this occuring, Lynion Raiders and the remaining RBS Forces will be able to pick your ships off one by one until they're nothing but scrap metal.

B) You engage him now and thus (I presume its close to the capital) masscaring his navy which will smash the morale down if its completed. Seeing part of the military masscared can smashed morale wide open. Doing this can make your job easier when invading the RBS.

The reason for this declaration of war is quite simple; we are a member of ODECON. As an ally of the Royal British Staes, we pledge to aid them in any way possible.

(NOTE: I beleieve that this has something to do with Buddha C being allied with the GWO- this declaration of war is aimed at Buddha C for attacking an ODECON nation, not against the GWO.)

Savronin Naval Citadel, Runway 1.

"This is ASB-01, commencing run."

"ASB-01, understood. You are cleared for take off." With the ascension of the new High Lord and the funeral of the old one a significant part of the armed forces was tied up in Anemos Major itself but the air force had planes to spare, and that was why a flight of five B-52s armed with anti-ship (if that is ipossible, then cruise missiles) and extra fuel took off from Savronin Citadel early that morning. Their mission was to support RBS forces in any way possible. However, their only escort was a grop of ten F-22 Raptors, unable to operate for too long in the area of the conflict due to fuel restrictions and so the pilots would have to make things short and sweet.

"We're meant to be the backup force for this one," smiled Vamperial Sea Wolf Captain Jacobs as he went across the map. "We need to increase our speed and get there before anymore enemy reinforcements arrive," briefed Jacobs as his lieutenants and captains gathered around the map of the RBS Colony. "We're the only surface ships being dispatched to aid the raiders already there. We've also got the only manned aircraft units ready to be used against these buggers,"

"What numbers could we be looking at?" asked one of his lieutenants.

"Unknown at this time, we think there's jammers hanging about their fleet so..." replied Jacobs as he pulled out another map with the purposed positions of the fleet and circles of the colour orange above them. "The orange circles are the predicted jamming signals and its covering the entire damn fleet. However, there's one thing we've being noticing every time the Humans use their jammers," contiuned Jacobs as he placed a clear see-through sheet over the map and the circles with black points in the middle of them. "Covering a massive invasion fleet at an estimated strength of...350, we think the jammers could be ranging between 50 and 60 jammers. We can't get a fix on their positions just a rough esitmate of the source locations and the purposed numbers of enemy warships," finished Jacobs.

"Ok, how do we take out something we can't see?" asked a captain.

"Radar missile lock will effect us so our missiles are going to have two abilities. Radar lock and freelance. Freelance will make the missile fire in a straight line unless its hit by something else. When one jammer goes down, an estimated diamater of the circle it was covering will be constructed and this will then be used to position the other jammers. With this, our flyboys will be able to do radar locks and begin an epic air battle while our navy closes in and finishes off the enemy navy. I want everyone to expect a combination of carriers, battleships, cruisers, frigates, destroyers and submarines in the upcoming battle," answered Jacobs as he nodded his head to his lieutenants and captains. "Before the navy is involved, we'll use cruise missiles and bomb the enemy navy. Any questions, please ask me ASAP," finished Jacobs.

(OOC: Will edit an ORBAT into this post... am on the family computer and do not have access to my saved ORBATs, etcetera. Also, as your same two fleets are able to hop across NS Earth from one theater to another at will, declaring that ODECON reinforcements would have to "teleport" into a theater that has been open for five hours at this point is a little ridiculous, Buddha.

My God man, with the number of logistics and transport ships you'd need alone, your fleets would probably be visible from space, using only the naked eye. So saying that we wouldn't have time to respond as your fleets cross hundreds, if not thousands of miles of open ocean, is a bit unfair, no?)

It has come to the attention of the Holy Empire that the nation of Buddha C had engaged in hostile action towards a fellow ODECON member. As is required by the organizations, charter, the Holy Empire is henceforth at war with the nation of Buddha C.

National Military Headquarters, New Virginia:

"Are you sure about this, sir?" Colonel Madison asked, from a ring of men standing around a map and several monitors. "This is one of the largest deployments we have ever done as a nation."

"Indeed I am." General Alexander Mcalpin replied. "Defense of our allies is and shall be our first priority for the duration of this conflict, and we cannot allow this "Buddha C" nation to waltz around picking off any who it deems weak enough for it to bully around."

He looked at the map again. This was going to be a rather stressful year.

The 2nd Hegemonic taskforce, made up entirely of the Sumguaian wing of the HIDF, began upon it's course to merge with the Salzland fleet that had already been deployed.

The nation of the Royal British States is under the protection of the Oceanic Defense Coalition, and as such, a state of war is now in effect between Buddha C and the combined nations of ODECON.

ODEFOR and ODEFLE combat units will be deployed to the theater at the earliest possible convenience.

Seventeen Type 425 nuclear artillery cannons were loaded onto huge oil transports, due to the Royal British States on normal petroleum shipping schedule. Within a week, the transports would arrive in the Royal British States under the flag of a neutral country known to the world as Asgarnieu. Aboard were Italian sailors instead of Stelimov or Chinese sailors, and the ship was entirely unarmed save for the artillery cannons.

CC: Royal British States

We must issue this declaration to the Cnian nation:

Your presence in the greater war is no longer to be tolerated. As a member of ODECON, brothers of the Royal British States, we are compelled to defend against your invasion with all due force and ability, electing to provide more aid than through ODECON and her military assets.

Our fleet was dispatched soon after we received word of your impending attack upon our brethren. We can only suppose that by the time you receive this, the attack has been well under way. Our ships make for your position with all haste, under orders to ensure that no further Cnian military assets enter the States and all those currently involved in the invasion leave under the white flag or lay buried. Henceforth, a state of war exists between the nations of Santheres and Buddha C, as duly authorized by the Ministry of Defense and supported by the Noble Congress, the Regnancy, and the People of the Most Serene Noble Republic.

By the grace of God, under the protection of Saint Mark, the undersigned pledge their loyalty to the States, bound through ODECON, accepting no outcome but victory and the protection of the peoples of the States:

About time you blokes showed up, we thought we were going to have all the fun to ourselves. Putting aside the jokes, we have the elements of the RBS navy close by and the Buddha C naval forces are going to prepare for an attack on the colony. Be advise, there's around 50 jammers over the main enemy fleet. I suggest we remove the jammers first on it could be a hard time trying to target the enemy fleet.

OOC: Ok, now I'm starting to feel guilty about not committing my navy.

IC: Upon hearing of ODECON's intent to intervene, the Holy Office of War decided that their contribution to the war would have to be bigger and so the decision was made to send the 2nd and 3rd Battle Fleet to reinforce the ODECON forces. In terms of air support, the B-52s of virtually every wing had been freed from duty because the patrols in the South Anemonian Sea had been taken over by Internal Army Maritime patrols, using Mirage F-1s equipped with stronger radar and anti-ship/submarine weapons. The B-52s in question were equipped with 16 Harpoon missiles on wing pylons between their engines, and inside their bomb bay, a couple of free falling bombs rested around a pair of Storm Shadow medium range cruise missiles, recently procured by the Holy Office of War.

Karonin Naval Citadel had also yielded aircraft. 44 B-1B Lancers, divided up into four squadrons of eleven, had been quickly prepared and loaded up with GPS bombs and anti-ship missiles. Behind it, waiting ominously in a hangar was the B-1B(ND), a B-1B modified to carry two ARBM SRBMs, loaded with a single nuclear warhead each. The plane hadn't been sent to aid the ODECON forces yet, but in the worst case...

The Fifth and Eighth Fleets slowed to a halt roughly 750 miles from the Buddha C fleets, ostensibly to link up with the additional ODECON forces arriving in-theater. Messages were prepared for each ODECON fleet arriving, encoded and burst-transmitted with instructions to link up with Salzland naval forces in-theater and prepare to repulse an air attack. A full wing of F-35 Lightning II fighters were providing a Combat Air Patrol for each fleet, taking up a blocking position roughly a hundred miles closer to the Buddha fleets. E-2 Sentries and EA-6B electronic support aircraft. The fleet nuclear and diesel/electric submarines took up blocking positions one hundred miles ahead of the surface ships, arrayed in an arc to intercept any incoming enemy subs.

The fleets themselves operated under strict emissions control, besides the burst-transmitted messages to the ODECON and Lynion forces in the area. At their present range from the Buddha C fleets, they would be undetectable by ship-based and airborne search radars. To any overhead satellite observers, it would look like the Salzland fleet was merely biding its time.

The decks of the fleet carriers launched several more aircraft in addition to the current combat air patrols, however. From each Salzland fleet two dozen unarmed RQ-3B Super DarkStar drones lifted off, heading for the Buddha C surface fleets. The drones, upgraded over the RQ-3A DarkStars in every way including sensors and onboard target designation, would be practically invisible with their miniscule radar cross-sections and total electronic emission silence. Each Super DarkStar was entirely autonomous, meaning that it would not only be unaffected by the ongoing electronic jamming over the Buddha C fleets, but would in fact benefit by the inadvertent friendly interference that would certainly be present with so much electro-magnetic energy being generated directly over the Buddha fleets.

As an additional precaution, the drones would be re-directed 100 miles to the sides (respectively) of the Salzland Fifth and Eighth fleets, before proceeding toward the Buddha C naval forces. It was hoped that the Combat Air Patrols would serve to draw the attention of the opposing forces, distracting them and allowing the DarkStars to slip in unnoticed through the flanks. At the present ranges between the two fleets even with the RQ-3Bs enhanced endurance, the drones would be too far away to be recovered. However, they would serve as an acceptable loss.

(OOC: Basically, these are the upgraded versions of the RQ-3 DarkStar drones that Lockheed-Martin announced back in 2003 were operating as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. They have about twice the range of the RQ-3A, and are designed solely to infiltrate so-called 'high threat' airspace, just as the original drones were)

[OOC: Oh, he was? My bad didn't see that, lol. Still awaiting casualties...]

The data link to the satellites monitoring the battlefield quickly relayed the information of the enemy fleets whereabouts, and even though the area around the fleet was jammed the area of effect would become a very suspicious target for a counter-attacking maneuver. The recent declarations soon also changed the tide in this theatre, even though the Cnian fleet had the numerical, tactical and technological experience, it would soon lack the numbers if the enemy's allies barred down on the two fleet armada. Therefore, a harsh decision had been made. The enemy would claim victory for now.

The mass of metal began to sail away from the battle zone, the carriers were still on high alert, and the full compliment of Growlers were being deployed for maximum range, giving them about twenty-five kilometers of unknown space, and as the fleet crept away it also made the patrols wider in a rather weakly effective form of deception. However, the carriers also had their Air-Superiority fighters prepped for take off, with a full twenty percent already with missiles attached to hard points and interior bays.

The Ohio-Class submarines that had left the battle zone were currently on their way back to the homeland, where they would be re-fitted and re-signed to the new naval orginization. A message was sent out, "The fleet is docked in the Port city of [name], if any attacks are attempted the Cnian Naval Infantry will resort to whatever means to force your attack, and even though it is something we, as men, will regret, it is a necessity for this battle of ideologies." Killing civilians was something the Cnian military would want no part of, and even though they had done so previously in other religious and ideological campaigns, they never did it to a colony.

The fleet's main body had the outer shell of the cruisers, and all other vessels kept inside to be protected well with over-lapping fire. However the Hazard Perry Class was trailing behind slowly, they were much bigger targets, adding to that the damaged fleets were slugging behind even slower than the frigates. The ETA to Port Mecca, their home port, was about three days or so. Once there they would be re-fitted. They were expected to meet up with the 24th Naval Group that had recently been taken out of GWO service in a day or two.

"Captain, got something you might smile," started Lieutenant Josh as Richards looked at the maps of the colony.

"Out with it sailor," replied Richards.

"The RBS has seemed to have surrendered to Buddha C naval forces and to make things worse, one of the naval ports is being used by the enemy and we intercepted this," brifed Josh as the message from Buddha to RBS was given to the captain.

"F**k those bastards," muttered Richards. "Where's the Cornith Raiders?"

"They just joined us sir, Captain Kennedy is on the holo-com," replied Josh as he stepped aside from the slightly pissed off captain. The hologram of Captain Kennedy appeared on the main device as the officers gathered around the table.

"We've just noticed the enemy has left a number of warships behind to protect their spoils of war," started Kennedy as his scale figure stepped to one side as a map of the sector the enemy had anchored in appeared. "We don't know their numbers at the moment but expect a number of frigates, destroyers, submarines and cruisers. We also managed to pick up the dockyard is heavily protected by their marines which is going to make things complicated for us. Any suggestions?" Kennedy asked as everyone started to think. The officers suddenly went quiet until a young junior officer came forward.

"Err...Captain Kennedy, permission to speak sir," asked the nervous boy as he wondered who would tell him to step down.

"And you are?" asked Captain Kennedy.

"Midshipman Edward Williams of the Omega Raiding Squadron," introduced Edward.

"Permission granted," replied Kennedy.

"Sir...I suggest we use a combination of what forces we have left. The enemy fleet has made some distance between the RBS Colony and their home port or where ever they're going," started Williams. "Our navy cuts off their escape route and smash the dockyard apart as well as the enemy naval forces stationed there. We then use AU-1 Gunships, fighter aircraft and Seeker's as well as un-manned aircraft to give us air support. We land our Lynion Hunters into the city and have them use sniper teams to pick off the wanderer's. If we do this right, the enemy navy won't know what has hit them before they can do a manovour or reply," finished Williams as a few officers nodded their heads.

"Williams has the mind of a tactian," started Kennedy. "We'll be committed to this soul attack and engage the enemy with full force. Inform the RBS of our plan and inform them to have their military ground forces ready to assault the dockyards. May God keep our minds calm and keep our boys safe. Good luck everyone," finished Kennedy as the holo-com went dead.

"You heard the Captain," started Richards as he looked around at the crew starring at him. "We're gonna make those bastards regreat the day they assaulted a Lynion ally,"

"Hooraah!" replied the crew members.

While this was happening a squadron of Blackhawks and Chinocks were headed towards the RBS Home Fleet port which was said to be safe from the listening ears of the enemy. They had a simple job to do and it was going to be completed.

"This is Hell Knights calling RBS Home Fleet, requesting permission to land," started one of the pilots on a secured channel. "We got a purposal for you and we can't discuss it over the intercom,"

ABS-01 approached the RBS homeland, and looking over intelliegence gathered by a satellite and a Global Hawk UAV earlier that day, it had been confirmed that one RBS port city had been taken over. However, judging by the transmissions the 45th Intelligence Battallion had intercepted, the RBS hadn't surrendered yet and so there still an opportunity for a counterattack. The main Anemonian force was still out at sea, but the B-52s could still cause major damage to the enemies in port. The commander of ABS-01, an Air Major, shouted "To your stations! Arm the Harpoon missiles, and give me a video feed of the port!" The pilot replied "Sir!", switching on the recording device. The recording would be sent to the main fleet via an encypted channel, providing them with real-time intelligence on the enemy positions.

The 17 Type 425 nuclear cannons from Stoklomlvi arrived at the port city of Chenerl. The RBSArmy loaded them onto the massive army trucks and drove them to the large open farmlands near the now-invaded Port Britannia.

The people of Port Britannia had long be evacuated to the countryside ever since the war started. The Army had a camp nearby and had made preparations for the possible invasion of the colony itself.

Now, the Cnian Navy had taken over the Port, now abandoned but filled with military supplies, food and water for up to 3 months. However, the technicians at Port Britannia Power Plant had cut off the power supply to the main Port, hence, leaving it look like a ghost town.

The Army had just declared a blockade around the Port and so, the Cnian Navy is now trapped. In the sea, the ODECON and allied fleets, and at land, the 17 nuclear cannons. They have no where to run.

"This is Captain Kennedy to all ships, Operation Wolf Mother, is now commencing," ordered Kennedy. "May God guide us through these times,"

The submarines quietly slipped along the coast as the port in enemy hands was sighted. Kennedy stood on the bridge of the Heartless, Heavy Assult Cruiser, as the carriers started to launch their inner demons. He turned around and looked at the radar as friendly un-manned prototype aircraft units had joined with several air force squadrons.

"Position the fleet to the block the enemy port," ordered Kennedy. "We got no intentions of losing this fight. Officer Radar, get on the radio and inform the Allied Forces to help us if the enemy fleet turns around. We can't let our backs be stab,"

"This is the Heartless calling all Allied Forces in the area," started Officer Radar. "We've got a fix on the enemy controlled ports. We request that squadrons keep tabs on the location of the retreating enemy fleet. If they turn around we're going to need all the firepower we can lay our hands on to sink those idoits," finished Officer Radar as he waited for a response.

Meanwhile

"All squadrons form up behind the un-manned drones," started Jack of Spades Matthew King who was the youngest Lynion commander in the war. "Take out the AA positions and the AA warships first. Seekers, go for any carriers sitting in the docks. After the AA systems are down, go for the warships,"

"Copy that sir," replied Wing Commander Eli as her squadron formed up behind Matt's Sonic Dingo Fighter Jet.

The un-manned aircraft drones were the first to commence the attack. It didn't matter if the un-manned drones were shot down, however, they were rather small and each was armed with eight air to surface missile system and two small machine guns on either side of its nose. The sky was lit up as a horde of aircraft started to rain destruction on the dockyards. It was closely followed by a barrage of Lynion Naval power from the warships that had blocked the enterance to the port. The full blown force of the combination of Lynion air and naval power was soon joined when the Chinocks and Blackhawks landed at the edge of the blockard around the port. They were to dispatch 1,000 Lynion Elite Hunters with no armour and limited gunship support. The AU-1 gunships were going to give the air support to the troops. However, it could be suggested a suicidal mission since the Lynion Naval and Air Force presence were giving the port a beating.

From: The Office of Minister Giarelli, Ministry of Defense

On behalf of the Ministry of Defense, I would like to extend to your nation the offer of several divisions each of twelve thousand soldiers, plus necessary materiel, to aid in the repair and building of further defenses against future attempts to invade your soil. We hope to fortify your borders and shores so that you might stand longer in the face of attack, giving enough time for our fleets to reach you before you sustain heavy losses. We regret that we could not arrive in time to intercept the Cnian fleet and hope that this should not happen again if our mutual enemies decide to target your nation once more.

Should you accept our offer, we will begin deployment immediately. By the grace of God, may our alliance remain strong.

The House Coalition vanguard slowly moved into formation, a long line that would soon ring Port Britannia at quite some distance, giving more than enough water between them and the port but ensuring that they could stop any ship trying to leave the city. It would take some time for them to reach their destinations and actually establish their blockade, but the carriers maintained a strong CAP to keep any potential remaining Cnian fighters from becoming a threat.

Behind them were the Gendarme flotillas, sitting between -- so they hoped -- the House fleet and the retreating Cnian fleet, supporting those of their ODECON allies.

Not one ship in the combined fleet attacked the Cnian vessels, however, preferring not to until their allies did. They did, however, send a message to them, ordering them to stand down and make no attempt to run or fire upon the any of the allied forces. Another message was sent to the ODECON forces, asking if they should attempt to seize the Cnian ships and personnel rather than simply destroy them.

To the Heartless, they responded:

This is Vigilance actual. The Cnian fleet is bouncing and we have more than enough firepower between them and you. We ask, however, that you cease your assault for the moment. We're hoping we can come to terms and take the remaining Cnians into custody. Continue your attack should we fire upon the port. Thank you.

The Cnian main battlefleet was long gone by the time they had surrounded the port. The Oliver Hazard Perry frigates were about one nautical mile away from the main fleet, and the damaged ships dragging behind were at the most five nautical miles away, but the deception had worked, far as the satellites could tell, the enemy was converging on a non-existent enemy, no one in the Cnian command could have believed that it would turn out to be such a suggest, perhaps the Mainr Heptar would receive a promotion for his ingenuity...

Your fleet's battle with the navy of Buddha C was legendary. Outnumbered in the air and on the waves, you nonetheless challenged the Cnian navy, managing a sharp action until reinforcements arrived from your allies. The RBS Navy stood proud; its defense is comparable to the Royal Navy's action at Trafalgar against an imperial aggressor and its stolid defense of the Norwegians against Nazi aggression.

Your battles with the ODECON navies will go down in the annals of naval history with Trafalgar, with Actium, with Salamis. From your initial, convincing victory over a strong Royal British navy, to your fleet's managing to evade contact with more dangerous foes, to its noble sufferings under a treacherous nuclear assault, this was the stuff of legend.

"Sir, it was a mistake," Lise Shipyards said, in a surprisingly confident tone, considering the circumstances. He was new to the company, and to the nation itself, having arrived just a week ago. "Surely you can understand a mistake -"

"Are YOU accusing ME of a mistake?" Michael boomed out.

"Does that matter? Both countries will need ships anyway; showing them the other side's views might piss them off enough to convince them to keep fighting," Lise replied.

"Or piss them off enough at US that they don't buy. I give every employee ONE error before firing them. Usually, it's nothing this bad!" Michael then stormed off.

"Ah, that's the old softie we know and love," Rachel Shipyards, the local manager, said offhandedly, just before Michael was out of earshot.

02-01-2009, 03:22
Following the narrow escape of the Buddha C naval forces, Salzland Fleet Command elected to not only maintain its existing forces in-theater but deploy reinforcements as well. The Tenth Fleet received orders to join the Fifth and Eighth Fleets five hundred miles off the coast of the Royal British States, across the approach routes any incoming Buddha C fleets would have to take.

Salzland orbital assets continued to monitor the retreating Buddha naval vessels, as well as known ports and naval bases for any signs of increased activity or vessels putting to sea. If the enemy elected to return to the Royal British States, the Salzland Navy and its allies would be aware of it well in advance and thus have the opportunity to deploy additional reinforcements in a timely manner.

In the mean time and taking full advantage of the lull in the fighting, the Salzland submarines and fleet escorts began rotating one hundred miles further out, laying a thick field of naval mines across likely invasion routes in anticipation of a second engagement over the Royal British States. Should the enemy return with anything like the thousands of ships it had previously deployed, counting logistics and transports, it would inevitably blunder into the minefields and take casualties.

The positions of the minefields were carefully charted, then hand-delivered to the Admirals of the Salzland fleet and the commanders of the other Allied forces in-theater. There would be no possibility of enemy forces intercepting the Allied plans through electronic subterfuge.
