It was extremely cold in Bulgislavia. It was in the middle of winter. snow was all over the country and the bleak capital of Terevesti was covered in it.
Construction was everywhere as the nation was being repaired from the war. TV was restricted to 5 hours a day and it always showed inspirational messages, pro-government propaganda and footage of Mehmet Çeau the new leader of the nation and his second in command Humar Maneci
Cars had recently been banned for the reason "All the petrol must be diverted to construction equipment to rebuild the nation" Bulgislavia have been giving out one bicylce to each family.
The TV camera crews were set up all over the street. It was a small side street in Terevesti where the first new apartment blocks were being completed.
This new footage was to be shown on Bulgislavian TV to show the nation that everything was going well and the people were happy. No one ever heard any stories of elderly dying from the cold and authorities were quickly getting rid of bodies of people who had died in the streets due to the cold (The war had caused a lot of homelessness)
hundreds of people were conscripted to participate. The Young pioneers and children that would have to have direct contact with Mehmet were held in Quarantine for 48 hours to make sure they had no cold of disease that would pass onto the leader.
Finally after 1 hour of rehersals in the freezing cold and standing around waiting a Black BMW drove down the road.
The adults standing on one side of the road chanted
"Our pride and esteem Mehmet, Bulgislavia! Our Pride and Esteem Mehmet, Bulgislavia!" while clapping in unison
On the other side stood hundreds of young pioneers. The children were dressed in the Young Pioneer Unifrom of white top, red neckerchief and black pants. They held thier fists up in the communist salute and at every 5th child they held the flag of the party.
The BMW stopped and Mehmet came out dressed in a large black coat. The Camera Crews were picking up all the footage. Mehmet waved to the people. The chanting crowd went quiet and then the Young Pioneers broke out in song and began singing the National Anthem followed by the Hym of the Young Pioneers of Bulgislavia.
Mehmet then moved foward and began shaking hands with some children at the front and then a very young girl walked up with a large boquet of flowers which mehmet Accepted and then patted the girl on the head and passed the flowers to one of his body guards.
At one end of the street was a podium. He approached the podium and spoke into the microphone and gave a speech saying that its been a testing year full of trauma but finally BUlgislavia is back on track and we must stay to this path to keep the stability and the party is doing its best to house and feed the people.
