Office of the Chief Governor

Johnny Standford paced the oval room silently, Commandant Travis Yamato standing at attention near the double doors as the Chief Governor went over the situation in his mind. Anagonia was dragged into the war via an Alliance with Leistung, something Johnny didn't want. Originally, Anagonian military assets were to go under a False-Flag Campaign. But now with this sudden turn of events, the United Republic was forced to submit to the fact that it would have to place itself at the forefront of the invasions instead of secretly hiding behind a charade. He grunted in disapproval, taking a look at the wide screen display on the far wall showing the current state of affairs with the world.

Standing and rubbing his chin, he finally took time to note Travis standing. He gave a motion of his head, Travis taking the signal and walking closer. He had his head-wear between his arm as per protocol, briefly saluting the Chief Governor before gazing at the wide screen. "It's turned global, eh?"

Johnny sighed, "Indeed it has, Mr. Yamato."

Travis handed Johnny some papers, he looking them over before gazing back. "Your kidding." His expression serious, "This is the best the Joint Chief's can come up with?"

Having a pained expression, Travis nodded. "I'm sorry sir. But we believe if we take the smaller nations out first, the Grand World Order's support will crumble quickly."

Johnny gave a growl, something primal. "This is like killing innocent children. They're barely into the world stage."

Travis watched as Johnny headed to his desk, sitting behind a large chair and sitting back in it. Both hands clasped, two fingers at his lips, as he hummed something under his breath. His eye distant as the papers Travis gave him were on the desk. He crossed a leg, moving the chair back somewhat from the desk as his eye's turned their attention to the Commandant. "Anagonia will only send a minor invasion force, nothing more."

"Yes sir," Travis replied at full attention. His pained expression gone.

"You will lead the invasion," Johnny said. "Now get out of my office."

Travis stood there for a few moments as Johnny turned his attention to the papers before him. Stunned, Travis didn't know how to react. Several minutes past, finally Johnny slamming his fist on the desk. "Get out of here! Now!"

Immediately the Commandant left the Oval Office, walking as fast as he could.

"Greetings my subjects, today this third day of celebration marks a great moment in the history of Chazakain. Our enemies have sent their first wave, our allies have sent their help but victory or defeat is totally in our hands. While we do not know the time or the place of the first battle or even who will fire the first shot, we must still prepare ourselves in mind and body. We will continue our preparations of the bunkers and other defenses but the following cities must be emptied their citizens must undertake a great migration relative safety in the Southern mountains where food and shelter has already been readied. *List of cities, mostly ports* Our forces have been put on highest alert for sabotage and the like but remember my subjects if we can weather this storm we will be like a diamond in the rough shining brightly forever more.

The 21st and 3rd fleet began to fall back to another battlefield, or possibly a home port.

2,562 Miles from Chazakain

Travis Yamato stood on the bridge of the ALHD-32 Typhoon, the entirety of Fleet One surrounding the lone Wasp-Class Carrier on it's long journey to Chazakain waters. Fleet's two through four had split up one-hundred miles back to make the entrance into hostile territory a four-pronged objective. The plan was to simply overwhelm the defenses surrounding Chazakain, seeing as basically it was a smaller nation and therefore a large armada would be able to spear-head through it. However with the recent intelligence of movement from allies of Chazakain, Travis had positioned his fleets to assault Chazakain from four entirely different directions. At least one fleet would make a beach-head, and when that happened most of the transport ships would follow.

The problem now was the massive fleet from the Buddha's containing a shit load of super carriers. They had plenty of time to organize their fleets to a specific formation to better make chances of a landing easy, but the fleet battles would be bloody and costly. What worried the Commandant most was that the enemies super carriers would overwhelm all of Anagonia's fleet's with aircraft that blotted out the sun, and therefore make any countermeasures moot. It would take a lot of planning and a lot of coordination to achieve at least a small victory in this theatre. Privately he sent the news to the Chief Governor, warning of the high probability of defeat, and requesting more fleets be sent this way. Hopefully by the time they were half-way there, two actual Carrier Battle Groups would be en-route.

Until then Travis had to suck it up and hope for the best. Around every fleet a Hawkeye was maintaining a circular pattern and relaying tactical information to the ships of their respective fleets. Harrier's provided the anti-fighter defenses, for now. One could occasionally see gunships making the rounds. The most apparent reaction was the transport ships slowly falling behind to some mysterious point. Submarines stretched out to ensure that no enemy submarines tailed the fleets. And the crew's of every ship and aircraft waited for the massive battle to come.

History of Chazakain
The land of Chazakain is unique in the nationstates world in that it is adjusted to at least 3 other loosely allied states that formed the Greater Chazaka Empire during most of the 20th century. Its people and government is alike to the other states in the region in that it is a culture melting pot of South American, European and Asian peoples and cultures. Its first colonists were wayward Greeks during the late BC era, that noting the abundant water and food they had stumbled apon decided to stay. From this small colonizing effort others have advanced onto the Chazaka landmass from the Aztecs to the Vikings...(details history of region)

Part 2, the geography of Chazakain
Chazakain is the southern most and western most part of the Cerymbasic subcontinent, as Cerymbasic rests on a plate junction, The northern region of Diae has numerous volcanoes erupting on average at a rate of two to three a year, while these eruptions can be quite violent, the area is only sparsely populated so deaths are rare.

To the south of this region is the Phonon plains, these plains from the western coast of Chazakain to the Jungles in the eastern border regions. These plain are typical of Chazakain in that they are generally flat with the highest point being only 200 meters above the lowest. This region holds the Chazakain capital Phegeus, this region holds the greatest population and is the most developed in all of Chazakain, many companies have built factories here and many cities have sprung up to provide workers and their needed conforms and supplies. Towards the border of the plains and the jungles lie the bread basket of Chazakain the Anchu region.

The Anchu region lies in a 60 km strip on the plains, where much of Chazakain fruits,vegetables and wheat is grown due to its generally good soil and climate. This region has also been the focus point of many failed revolts against the monarchy over the years...

As we travel further south the Rneusme mountains appear these peaks provide much of the raw materials the Chazakain industries need to survive while also provided shelter during times of war in their many caves and hidden valleys. The highest point is Mt. Siae at 4,515 meters, yet most mountains in the region rarely reach the 2,000 meter mark. The region is also famous for its many tourist attractions from the various ski slopes to scaling Mt. Siae. Now as we approach the Chazakain border with Chazada we reach the Xylersa, these jungles are full of all kinds of creatures from the unimportant and nonthreatening to the vicious and very very dangerous, this region is also underdeveloped and underpopulated due to this and other reasons.

The Ocean to Chazakains is both a god send and a constant threat to its way of life, bringing upon it both the fruits of the sea(fish,oil,trade,etc) and the constant dangers of hurricanes and invaders. The ocean surrounding Chazakain is generally calm during the late fall to early spring periods but once spring arrives watch out! the ocean is wiped up to a frenzy for most of August through April causing a heavy storm on the average of once per two weeks, thankfully these storms generally make land fall in the Diae region causing no lastly harm to most Chazakains.

The coastline or Osas region of Chazakain are infamous for their variety; some areas are perfect for beachgoing(long, sandy beaches) while others are dangerous to any and all(large sharp rocks, high waves, sharp differences between high and low tide, etc) Most of the former is towards the central of Chazakain's coastline on the Phonon plains while most of the later is in the Diane and Rneusme regions.

Within the coast of Chazakain, mighty battle fleets from all around the world were position to unleash hell upon each other for trivial and unimportant reasons. But what was important was the battle fleet that Fighter4u had steaming toward the Chazakain nation in a effort to destroy the enemy fleets and take the first victory in what would undoubtedly become a long and bloody war.

Bridge of the ALHD-32 Typoon - 2,430 Miles from Chazakain

Travis looked over the recent satellite intel of the theatre. Apparently the enemy forces from Buddha C were beginning to pull out. A note was attached explaining that enemy forces from Fighter4u were inserting into the Theatre to possibly make up for the lack of the huge support that Buddian forces provided. Contemplating this new turn of events, Travis Yamato ordered the fourth and third fleets to make direct headway for the Fighterian forces. They would keep them occupied long enough for the first and second fleet to fight beyond the Chazakanian defenses and make a beach-head. Depending on the fierceness of the fighting, Travis believed this could be a short-lived campaign.

An officer came behind Travis to stand at attention with a salute, Travis doing an about face to return the salute. "Lieutenant?"

The officer handed Travis a communication, "The Chief Governor reports that two additional Carrier Battle Groups will be deployed once a beach-head is achieved." Travis nodded, gazing over the communication then ordering the Lieutenant back to his post.

Strategically, the Fighterian forces had the advantage with the Chazakian forces backing them up. The relatively small Anagonian battle groups would find a hard time battling through them without additional support, but they would have to find a way. If these four fleets could not breach the enemies naval defense line, then this theatre would be considered lost. That was something the Commandant did not want to happen.

Chazakain Ports

The last of the 1st fleet was finished with its supply run on the northern ports of Chazakain. As the last ship pushed off from its resting peers. XO Ares Bogal watched as the his fellow sailors cast off the last of the morning and prepared the Ares for its first military cruise.
"What do you think are our chances admiral?"
"They don't look good, our forces were never trained for this level of warfare. We've only ever fought pirates and other cowards, but if we have faith maybe we will live to see another day. Now order the fleet to set sail and meet up at Cleone point(northern most point of Chazakain) we have a war to fight."
"Aye, Aye sir!"
"Make sure the 2nd fleet is protecting our back too XO."
"Yes sir!"

Many that watched that fateful sail of the Erebus would later say they could feel the fate of the history that would be made on that ship in the coming weeks...

Meanwhile, Space
The Chazakain Spy satellites continued their restless gaze on the oceans surrounding Chazakain searching for that speck that would signal the first crashing of the mighty storm. So far the search had been futile as the ocean was a large place and the ships of even of the most massive fleet would be hard to find in its mouth...

Bridge of the S.S Sunshine

Admiral Yelcan was pouring over reports on board the S.S Sunshine. Already he was through his forth cup of Selan. A old herb tea that dated way back to when Fighter4u ancestors just discovering the big fuss about bronze. Jim Jones,Yelcan bat boy for over twenty years, quickly ran away to make another cup. Yelcan was worried about something and he didn't know what it was. But it hurt him to see his old friend so worried. High Command must be giving him hell over the GWO-Stok war.

And hell they were giving him.

"I don't know how High Command expects me to contain the Anagonias,provide defense and still be in shape to conduct offensive operations. Because knowing those bastards in High Command, if we make it out of this one,they thrown us into another one."

"Well shit Kellian," replied Adam Boatwater Captain of the ship. "That why your the Admiral and I just a lowly Captain."

"Well give it another year or so and I be giving this up anyway and you can have your shot,then you see how you like it. You bastard!" grumbled Yelcan.

"Bastard? I made have made a few bastards in my ti-"

"Sir, we receive a urgent update from our satellites, its appeared that the Anagonia forces have spotted us and two of their fleets are in route to intercept us."

"TWO FLEETS!!???!!!" roared Yelcan.

"Yes sir,but small ones at that. At least for the size of Anagonia navy anyway. It seems their goal is to stop us,possibly to give the remaining enemy forces time to destroy the Chazakain navy and land on the country."

"Well, we certainly can't let that happened, our orders is to prevent a enemy landing at any cost and they probably have millions of soldiers compared to our 850k."

Kellian have to stop and think. Now what? Now what indeed?

"Ah-ha, I got it. We will brute force our way through the enemy fleets,ramming through them if we have to and then we engage the remaining fleet before they can land troops. But if they attempt to do so before we can. Send half of the submarines to be in range of the beaches. So they can launch cruise missiles at those beaches if the enemy try to land on them. Also double the fighters aircraft in the air and get the EA-6B Prowlers,ES-3 Shadows and E-2D Hawkeyes up.

"Very well. We can do that." And so they did.

Fleets Three and Four - 1,950 Miles from Fighterian Fleet

The two fleets merged for a brief moment, then separated to travel on either side of the Fighterian fleets. The plan was to have one in the front, and one in the rear, with submarines providing the killing blow. The two Commanders of the Fleets contemplated how to first strike against the forces and keep them occupied long enough for the main two fleets to land their forces. It would be a hard task, however, but moving the battleships and cruisers up a rank would bolster missile offense and defense.

So it was the two fleets separated, one heading for the rear and one the front. The submarines lurked below, silent and deadly as the managed the center fork while provided anti-submarine cover for the two fleets.

( Chazakain do you just want to say the death guard arrived or something, the jungles of south america are full of death guard. They will reinforce your beach head and help you in urban fighting. You have about 100,000 of the monarchies best troops.

Athena watched as the dozens of military transports launched from Central Chazakain.
"Where are they going again general?"
"To South America to pick up something called the Death Guards."
"Death Guard huh, hope they're ready for the challenge."
"I'm sure they will be."

Athena turned away from the screen. "Now how goes the Home Guard training?"
"Some of the eastern rural areas are offering resistance to our envoys."
"Don't they know that they will share the same fate as the rest of Chazakain if we fail?"
"It appears not, they seem to think if we bow before these invaders that they will simply pack up and leave."
"Fools, now how goes my father's fleet?"
"They are two days travel from their destination, and haven't had any major problems yet which is a small mircale in itself considering the age of some of those ships."
"Has there been any sign of the enemy?"
"No"
"Good, if we have faith and show are resolve against this and other threats we may all live past this."

The death guard, clad in camoflauge appeared almost out of nowhere as the transports came to pick them up. Even though they knew transports were here to pick them up they approached as if they were the enemy.

One of the death guard knocked on the window of the lead transport. Pressing something on his wrist he began to talk in something understandable."You're the transports sent to pick us up. Yes?"

"aye, now are you going to stand there looking dumb or come on?"
"Theres a war going on you know!" shouted a voice in the back
"aye, you shut it up, you smelt of elderberries this entire trip, was your mother a hamster or something?.."

He pressed the button again before turning towards the jungle and shouting,"VOW TEQU EAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The sound pierced the jungle and could be heard for many miles. It was a weapon unto itself the sound capable of bringing men to there knees served as a marker for the countless death guard in the jungle.

Now the jungle came to life as the loud crack of tree's breaking could be heard. Death guard marched to the transports and stood at attention. The head death guard who had just shouted turned back to the transports and pressed something on his wrist again,"Its good week to fight." He was smiling the toothy grin hidden behind a cold metal helmet. The death guard boarded the transports with military discipline not a single soldier talked on their new fighting grounds.

As the last death guard entered the last transport the small fleet exited the South American waters carrying its deadly cargo on its way back to Chazaka and the battles that awaited...

Meanwhile, Cleone Point

The first fleet sailed into the harbor that was part of Cleone Point.
"We made good time, Admiral."
"Quite, lets hope the rest of the fleet will make it before the enemy. Now we reach the most dangerous part of the game my liege. The first contact between the fleets, the first shots fired...

The death guard upon arriving at the port immediately exited the ships and awaited further instructions. Completely versatile they could be used anywhere on the battlefield and make a huge impact.

The death guard is to be split as follows:
A legion and five companies of death guards will be sent to each of the major regions in Chazakain with a reserve legion and five companies being staffed in Phegus(Capital) that is to deploy at any of the other regions as needed.

As Diae(volcano region) is the most dangerous and least likely to be attacked in the first wave, its legion and companies will be mostly used to support the Phonon(Central Plains) region division, as this is the most likely invasion route it will be the most fortified and will likely be reinforced by the troops to the north(Daie) and east(Anchu)

The Anchu(farming) region will only a legion instead of a full legion and five companies. These brigades will also be the only troops in this region as it is well inside the borders of Chazakain and is not likely to be attacked for quite awhile, and will most likely be the last line of defense for any formal military units.

The Rneusme(mountain) region legion and companies will be used to protect important mining and civilian areas and may be used to help prepare guerrilla warfare programs and mostly will be the one used to base any guerrilla campaigns.

The Osas(coastline) region legion and companies will be the first line of defense against any possible invasion, it will also be the most spread out division as it will have to help defend the 3,450 km of coastline but it will also be the one most heavily supplied and reinforced by local Chazakain Forces.

At the Port Higgensquiggles military docks, final preparations were being made for the medical ships before they set out to Chazakain. The last few crates of bandages, antiseptic and antibiotics were being loaded onto the fleet, especially onto the SSS-H Port Nairn, whose hull had sprung a leak which had to be patched up.

"And, that's the last two boxes of bandages onto the ol' Capital City."
"Well done, son," the captain of the Port Nairn said, his voice croaking from old age. "I hope you'll make a good Navy man some day."
"I hope so too."
"Well, see you soon."
"Hopefully."
"Don't you worry about me, son. I'll be fine."
"I guess so."
"Well, I have to go. I love you."
"Love you too."

As the sun rose to mark the beginning of a new day, the small fleet of eight ships set out for its destination - well aware, that any one of them could be torn apart in a matter of seconds.

The death guard leader grunted in approval as the orders were relayed throughout the Armada. Death guard immediately began to break up from formation into their groups as they got ready for their transportation to the different areas they would fight in. Perhaps at Osas the region most likely to be invaded was where the invasion would end for on those beaches was where the Hades Legion was deployed. The Hades legion was the oldest legion in the death guard and it was the most frightening.

Space
Chazakain Spy satellites continued their restless surveying of the world's ocean searching for enemies that would threaten Chazakain Independence. There search continued to be fruitless with only vague shapes of fishermen and their craft in a vast blue expanses.
"Maybe, we should tell the satellites to searching further out sir? It seems pretty apparent that there are no fleets out there in Chazakain Waters." said the young private as he searched his 50th picture of vast nothingness."
"Indeed, order 2 of them to start searching in a gridlike pattern towards the north."

70 km north of Cleone, still well within Chazakain waters
The 1st fleet had sailed but 2 hours ago from this very point, traveling north spread out looking to find a sign of the enemy both fearing and hoping for it. The carriers had already launched their 1st recon flights.
"It seems that the storm may miss us this time admiral."
"We will have to see Ares, we will have to see."

500 Miles from Chazakain

They would pay dearly for this. Travis Yamato crunched the telegraph, closing his fist as rage filled his vision and expression. While fleets four and three were busy with the Fighterian forces, now was the time to have fleet's one and two begin the invasion. As the message of the fascist terrorist attack on Anagonia reached everyone, the hearts and souls of every capable warrior became enraged with a desire to kill everything considered to be an enemy. No longer was to there to be mercy, only death. Seeing as that was the case, Travis ordered both fleets fighter protective screen to double while positioning the cruisers and battleships forward of the LHD carriers as they fell back to the protection of the frigates and cruisers. The submarines spread openly, ready to detect the enemy before the landing operation was to begin. The remaining destroyers defended the carrier transports, while a few submarines bolstered the underwater defenses.

They were now five hundred miles out. Undoubtedly the enemy was near. All they needed to do was find them, or be found.

OOC: Thanks. Sorry about that. Consider us approaching from the North, considering Anagonia is supposed to be situated somewhere in Central America.

The weather had come full force. Already the aircraft had to land, or make emergency landings. Going forward were the Battlecruisers and the two Battleships. Leading the advance were the cruisers. Travis was alerted to an enemy presence, and informed the submarines to go ahead and begin the hunt. Meanwhile, he ordered a first strike, the cruisers launching Harpoon Missiles while the Battlecruisers launched Harthingy Anti-Ship Missiles. A total of thirty-two harpoon and harthingy missiles headed directly for the Chazakain 1st fleet, targeting various platforms as the cruisers prepared for a counter attack.

Luckily for the Chazakain fleet the storm didn't only effect aircraft but also the flight plan of missiles most of them either completely missed their targets or only gave glancing blows but some did sink and sunk fast partly due to the rather large holes and partly due to the increasingly furious storm.

"Sir the Reuma(the Phoebe Class Destroyer) has reported a glancing hit on its rudders, its turning has been hampered and our subs have found a few of the enemy subs and have moved to engaged them."

The half of the various frigates/Corvettes and submarines have moved forward while the aircraft carriers(and some of their escorts) are holding back.

Two torpedoes homed in on a lone Akula, striking instantly as it imploded causing a huge explosion to appear on the surface from underneath. Counter-measures were launched by both ships and submarines, thankfully missing most. Three more homed in on their targets, one striking a Battlecruiser and forcing it to slow due to heavy damage as fires raged across its hull. The second struck a frigate and sank it instantly. The third exploded before it reached a battleship, causing the crew a scare.

The same result happened with the missiles, nearly all missing their targets. Two missiles struck the already damaged battlecruiser, causing it to explode violently and sink.

The return volley came from the Battleships as they came broadside and unleashed their Mk 7 - 16-inch/50 caliber guns upon the fleet which was tracked by the Iowa's radar, gauged when there was a brief clearing in distance. Harpoon Missiles were launched once again from the cruisers, the submarines and the lone Seawolf class submarine closer to the fleet and unleashing their Mk46 Torpedoes.

The submarines deployed counter-measures as soon as torpedoes hit the water. The Seawolf again became lucky, diving in time to have his signature confused with the counter-measures, avoiding the torpedoes entirely. One Akula managed to deploy counter-measures in time, however being exposed to a torpedo exploding nearby. The weapons and engines compartments started to flood, forcing it to surface, exposed to the enemy.

The remaining torpedoes found home against two frigates, striking them and causing moderate to heavy damage, making them fall back. The missiles once again were confused by the weather, missing their targets by either miles or feet, causing superficial damage to the LHD Carrier as one exploded near the side of the ship. The Battleships maintain broadsides, one being struck by a 70mm round and cause moderate damage to the bow. They again unleashed broadsides, this time having the targeted corvettes to attack.

The submarines launched another volley after finding other positions, Anti-Ship Harthingy's being launched by the dozens once contact was believed to be locked.

Travis nodded towards the Captain of the ship, "Good. Inform the Second Fleet to chase the carriers. I want them sunk."

The Transport Ships were not in the open. Protected by a Battlecruiser from the Second Fleet and the lone Seawolf from the Second Fleet, adding to the protection with a few destroyers and frigates, with one Eagle-Class Aviation Cruiser adding to missile defense. Seeing the enemy forces heading for the protected Transports, the first fleet's Battleships combined with it's remaining Battlecruiser and the Battlecruiser defending the transports to unleash a heavy Broadside upon the fleet. The remaining contingent of the first fleet unleashed everything they had, in moderation to maintain ammo supply.

The lone Seawolf made way to the enemy contingent that foolishly opened themselves to a full offensive, unleashing several torpedoes on the largest ships to make the surface war a bit easier.

The Second Fleet was split, half defending the transports, some combining with the First to bolster the main offensive. Comprised of the LHD Class Amphibious Assault Ship ALHD-19 Tomorrow, the two battleships assigned to defend her, one Battlecruiser, four CROWN-class Guided Missile Frigate's, one CG-47 Ticonderoga Cruiser, and two DDG-51 ARLEIGH BURKE-class Destroyer's, the fleet was designed to assault the carriers and it's defenders without mercy. Under the surface, the Lone Seawolf made the first attack by firing torpedoes, while two Akula's managed to get off a few rounds and the lone Victor III Class Attack Submarine crept silently to manage a secret offensive to directly attack the carriers.

"Excellent," Travis grinned. "Prepare for the carrier transports to unload the troops."

Seeing the retreat, the second fleet in its entirety was called off. The weather made assuming enemy motives difficult, but radar and sensors made up for most of the lack of information. The ten transports began moving forward as the two LHD carriers made formation. The battleships formed up, both fleets combining as the submarines continued to prowl the depths. Going after the retreating enemy would be useless at this point, so all effort directed themselves around the Volcano Plains to the Plans of Chazakain, coming from the north and trying to avoid the Major Port in the vicinity for later.

Troops and vehicles were made ready. When the weather cleared, aircraft would be launched to begin pounding the two major ports nearest to the landing zone indicated by the Commandant.

The 1st fleet had retreat from the Anagonia fleet(s) suffering severe loses in both men and equipment, but thankfully most of the carriers had survived with only minor damage. The storms had finally started to die down about an hour ago. With the winds dieing down, the Chazakains had finally been able to launch their fighters and recon yet they were still venerable...

Ten Hours Later

The minefields had been detected thanks to the Seawolf's advanced equipment. Now would be the time to initiate anti-mining activity before any ships were damaged. Acting accordingly, and with the fleet moving back, the submarines began to launch single Mk45 Torpedoes near where the mines bunched together, causing massive explosions upon impact as the minefield chain reacted to a point. Assuming everything was clear, two CROWN-Class Frigates began skimming the ocean near the shore to attempt to find the mines that couldn't be detected. After skimming, one mine struck home on a CROWN-Class, causing massive damage to the port side and ripping a hole. Eighty souls perished instantly, the Frigate breaking up as rescue operations saved the rest. Submarines were again called in, scanning actively and finding the rest of the mines. The Destroyers launched their torpedoes as the submarines jointly communicated positions. Eventually helicopter's were called in to search and destroy, the other CROWN-Class beginning anti-mine operations.

After three hours, every mine that could be destroyed was destroyed. A large span of the coast-line was covered, by this time the fleet's having ample time to assume landing formations. Battleships near the shoreline and the Battlecruisers and Destroyers patrolling forward to find any enemy military presence. The two carriers started to deploy around twenty AV-8B Harrier's to fly ahead on the shore and patrol the land for possible enemy presence. Helicopter Gunships, including the AH-1F Super Cobra and AH-64D Longbow Apache, were launched to begin surveying the general vicinity of the beach area. Two E-2 Hawkeye's were launched from one of the Transport Carriers to begin AWAC's.

Four of the Transport Carriers began to nearly beach themselves as they launched their transports to the shore. Already several M1A2 Abrams MBT's and M443-07 Military Transport's had been unloaded. Around five thousand Army Infantry had been unloaded, including two hundred Army Corps of Engineer's as they gathered the supplies and began constructing a temporary base of operations. Several CH-47D Chinook's had already unloaded vital and necessary supplies for the construction effort.

One the Abram's were in order, they positioned themselves along the borders of the coast and began patrolling. Gunships flying above to provide support as an occasional Harrier flew by.

The Chazakain Satellite quickly took pictures of the mine field reported destroyed, at first nothing seemed wrong until one picture at its edge showed a dark grey spot. That after further focusing proved to be the invasion fleet.

Beachhead Omega

Travis Yamato was transported to the new beachhead via V-22 Osprey Transport as a dozen or so Marines followed him for personal protection. All around him was activity, including unloading of more mechanized vehicles and supplies as the troops kept piling in. He had decided to name this beachhead "Omega", reserving Alpha for fleets four and three if they ever got finished with keeping the Fighterian fleet at bay. News from the Motherland bothered him greatly, so even as he concentrated on Commanding the landing operation and forming up defensive formations for the first and second fleet's he was sidetracked to the extreme.

Thankfully the Military always provided a solution. Two Colonel's assisted him for the Beachhead, jointly communicating and having enough experience with command and control to be able to do the job with or without the Commandant's help. Travis was grateful for this, allowing himself to rest against an Abrams Main Battle Tank as the crew looked down at him with a curious expression. They went back to business a second later, the Tank Commander ordering his crew to instead check over the tank while the Commandant enjoyed a brief respite.

The news coming in was that two theatres of war were abandoned to have the fleets return to the Motherland in her defense. Travis was at first furious that he wasn't called, then realized that in all reality it would be improper for the Chazakain theatre to be abandoned. He sighed loudly after thinking it over again, one of the Tank Crew merely glancing his way as she checked the tread's. Travis finally moved on, the Tank Commander calling his crew together and moments later the Abram's moving on to the dirt beyond the beach. Travis wondering towards the shoreline, looking out, hoping against all hope that he had a Motherland to return to when all this was over.

The 12th mechanical and 11th artillery finished their maneuvers into the nearby hills that surround the enemies beachhead. They had been lucky enough to avoid the enemy patrols as they were getting in position and all were awaiting the signal.

With those words the chazakain artillery began its bombardment of the beaches, with special attention being focused on the landing craft.

Meanwhile on the seas, the 2nd part of the operation had also begun. 40 Tethys Class Patrol Boats that had been sailing up the Chazakain since the first satellite photos had reached command began their hit and run attacks using their speed and relative maneuverability to great affect against the larger ships to the rear of the Anagonia fleet, targeting the ships with the least amount of defensive weaponry: the minesweepers, the supply ships and the like(but no hospital ships).(note each tethys has been outfit with one specially modified harpoon anti ship missile, smaller than normal so it fits on the ship, range and damage is decreased)

When the Artillery started falling, nearly half the invasion force had been unloaded completing the first cycle of mission. However even with advanced recon aircraft and helicopter gunships at their disposal, the Anagonians were still caught off guard by the sudden attack. An artillery shell hit nearby Travis Yamato as he stood viewing the battleships at sea, they going to investigate possible contacts of enemy small craft in the water along with a few destroyers. He crouched low, a few Rangers running up to grab him and take him to safety as everyone got into motion rather quickly.

Initial losses were sudden, around twenty-six infantry and two tanks were destroyed before anyone could react. The LHD Carriers responded instantly as everyone scattered on the beaches, Tanks advancing and the mission taken into a drastic overdrive. Travis was led to an M3A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle in which he boarded with his would-be rescuer's, holding a AK-47 handed to him as he previously dropped his other weapon during the sudden event. The Bradley, along with some two-hundred infantry supported by twenty-five other mechanized tanks and vehicles began moving forward with Super Cobra gunship support and two Harriers from the LHD Carriers.

The origin of the Artillery bombardment was quickly pin-pointed thanks to updated satellite positioning and the AWAC's in the air, relaying information for scouting aircraft up ahead. A wing of F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter's was launched with both Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground Munitions and Missiles to combat the new threat. Leading the charge would be five AH-64D Longbow Apache's equipped to tank down enemy armor, the F-35's ensuring both fighter cover and quick response to anything the Apache's didn't catch in time.

On the Sea the Battleships and Destroyers began heading in the general direction of the enemy small flotilla, hoping to use anti-ship weaponry to quickly end this duel once and for all and ensure that Anagonian Ground presence was secure.

The naval battle continued with Tethys Class Patrol Boats darting into the enemy supply line only to melt away when heavy resistance was encountered, it was proving a fairly successful if not costly tacit with many of the enemy supply ships/minesweepers/etc sprouting new holes in their sides.

OOC: I thinks this is a little unfair, so here we go. I'll probably be helping my side, not just GWO.


IC: After several days of having the 10th infantry, 9th Nefushaten and 3rd Armor in the oil province, the Rithic government sent the rest of the soldiers to defend Chazakain's home soil, after noticing enemy landings. By routing the enemy here, they could stop an advance into allies with large offense, but no defense. General Sherrer sent everything. The 11th Armor, 12th and 13th Infantry, and the 4th Nefushaten. Also, they had the 1st and 2nd Naval Battle Groups on standby. On aircraft carriers were 25 bombers and 10 fighter escorts, along with battleships and destroyers. Rithian's helicopter troops shot away from the enemy beachhead and developed a mile or so inland. Second, the navy brought reinforcements in the term of armor and support infantry.

Tactical Response

Once the LHD Carriers and fleet detected the enemy aircraft in-bound with the help of AWAC assistance, they launched the only Air Superiority Fighters available to them. Responding with VTOL-capable F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter's equipped with AIM-120 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIM-120_AMRAAM) and AIM-9D/G/H Sidewinder Missiles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIM-9_Sidewinder#Navy_AIM-9D.2FG.2FH) for close-range combat. They took off in formations of three each, totaling in ten VTOL F-35's.

The small enemy flotilla met heavy resistance at the hands of the Iowa-Class Battleship's, which were equipped with major and minor turrets to deal with this type of situation. They continued to fire their combined 24 Mk 28 - 5-inch/38 caliber guns, dealing with enemy missile fire with their RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM Point Defense Missile Launchers). Further vessel's engage the enemy small flotilla, attempting to block the path to the Carrier Transports. The Lone DAUNTLESS-Class Battlecruiser unleashed hell with it's 16 5"/38 Caliber guns, protecting the fleet with its 6 21-cell RAM (Point Defense Missile) Launchers. The remaining CROWN-Class frigates unleashed their single OTO Melara 76mm Cannons on the flotilla, protecting the fleet from missile fire and torpedo fire with their systems.

On the Ground, formations properly formed behind the Commandant's first responders of two-hundred soldiers, one Bradley which he used as a forward control vehicle, and mixture of Heavy Battle Tanks and Abrams Main Battle Tanks. Helicopter Gunships flew overhead, launching Anti-Armor weaponry when the enemy tank's and armor were in view and slaughtering ground troops with their chain gun systems. A line was formed on a steep hill between the mainland and beach, the Abrams easily able to take up positions as their turrets lowered and they hid behind embankments that allowed them to fire while maintaining hiding. Ground troops did the same, waiting for the Air Forces to secure the Air before trying any ground advance as the two Lone AV-8B Harrier's attempted to fight off the incoming enemy aircraft before the F-35's had a chance to arrive by targeting mainly the Prowlers and Lightnings with AIM-120 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile's, one for each aircraft.

Beachhead - Evening

By early afternoon the enemy started to withdrawal. The forces left behind were quickly gathered up, including the Artillery, and any injured soldiers or seamen were picked up as POW's to be properly taken care of by Anagonian forces. Any dead found were to be buried accustomed to Chazakainian traditions. The defensive assault had lasted nearly all day, and men and equipment were lost during it. However, thanks to the quick response and firepower of the Anagonian assets major casualties were avoided.

The newly arriving fleet was neglected, the beachhead being secured with a proper installation of defenses and stationary fort mounts. Most of the captured stationary artillery was to be used for this purpose after stripping parts and rigging them on platforms, if they truly were attached to the ground. Mobile tents and supply depots were under construction as further ground forces were unloaded, the Beachhead being called "Firebase Alpha" now. Travis went into the Mobile HQ to discuss further action for invasion plans tomorrow as patrols continued to protect the beachhead.

The Chazakains continued their drive after the other invading force, forgetting about the losses incurred that morning giving into their inner bloodlust and desperation. unfortunately it seemed that the Rithian and Chazakain languages weren't very compatible so commutations proved difficult.

The DDG-51 ARLEIGH BURKE-class Destroyers protecting both fleet's launched their RIM-162 Evolved Sea Sparrow Missiles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolved_Sea_Sparrow_Missile) in response to the direct threat of missile fire, three missiles for each enemy missile fired. Furthering the defense, the CG-47 Ticonderoga Cruiser's launched three RUM-139 VL-Asroc Anti-Submarine Missiles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RUM-139_VL-Asroc) for each submarine giving away their position due to torpedo fire and launching four RIM-162 Evolved Sea Sparrow Missiles for each enemy missile detected. The CROWN-Class Frigates launched two RAM Point Defense Missiles for each enemy missile detected.

Submarines were a different story. The two Seawolf's had no real problems currently, doing snap shots towards the enemy submarines with Mk45 Torpedoes and retreating with counter-measures launched. The Akula's, however, didn't fare so well. Two were destroyed before counter-attacking, two more launching snap-shots towards the enemy submarines before retreating thanks to counter-measures. The Victor III's launched both MG-74 Korund and Siren decoys before escaping after making two snap-shots at the enemy submarines revealing themselves. The battle underwater was heating up.

On the surface, the counter-attack was launched immediately after the defense missiles were launched. The Carrier's launched sixteen F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter's for Air Superiority Roles, readying six more for an additional strike against the enemy fleet. The Iowa-Class Battleships launching RGM-84 Harpoon Anti-Ship Missiles, one for each ship, which was complemented by the Cruisers and Frigates launching the same amount of RGM-84's for each enemy ship detected. Anti-Air was supplemented by the fleet's launching SM-2 Standard SAM's against the enemy fighters detected as they neared the fleet, two for each aircraft. Following this, the Battleships attempted to close within their field of fire to the enemy fleet to attempt to broadside the fleet with their 16-inch / 50 cal. Mark 7 guns.

Roughly 36 hours later(or 46 hours since failed initial naval battle)

After the second military disaster in less than a week, the Chazakain military decided that the best way to deal with the invasion was to hunker down, keep the air patrols going making sure that a second beach wasn't set up, and await the enemies next move, while training up the militias and moving the heavier elements of the Chazakain military to striking distance of the known beachhead.

"The 12th and 11th have been reinforced and are now at full strength, we have deployed another two air groups(the zelta and zig), four infantry groups(6th, 3rd, 21st and 14th), another mechanical(20th), another artillery(22nd), two of our armor groups(8th and 16th) are also moving into the area. The artillery groups have dug in roughly 6 clicks behind the enemy beachead with the 12th supporting, the infantry groups have been split and put into the two ports closest to the beachead, we are still unsure how the enemy was able to land so many troops and armor units so quickly without a deep harbor but we won't let them gain control of our ports so easily."

I before my fellow brothers and sisters of the world today to inform you of a decision I have reached concerning the fate of the United Republic and her involvement in the Global War. I understand that Johnny, while the true Chief Governor and probably having more sense than me, would have never undertaken such a diplomatic proposition as I did, one must understand that first I am The Peoples Leader, and Second a Warrior. Perhaps it is this inexperience as a true Warrior of Anagonia that led me to the conclusion that millions upon millions of my Peoples death's would seem quite useless as the invasion fleets neared. Maybe a few Leaders would have concluded death before submission, preferring the afterlife and her bounties over the living and those that need protection.

Unfortunately, not me.

I have served for decades as the Chief of Foreign Affairs and Activities under countless Chief Governor's, doing my job as best as possible. Never once was the position placed upon me where my decisions directly effected the outcome of my Homeland's fate upon this earth. It was like a horrible wake-up call for me when the time came to step into these impossible shoes of leadership and take charge, many of you now knowing the Terrorist Attacks that claimed Johnny Standford's life. I was ill-prepared then for the task. Yet, looking at it now, I don't think I can honestly say I have failed my people in any respects.

Last night, before the invasion of Mainland Anagonia and before I dared send more of Anagonia's bravest warriors to their deaths, I met with representatives from the Protectorate of Lyras and the Reich of The Peoples Freedom. Together we discussed in diplomatic terms the objective of the war at hand against Anagonia and the ultimate desire for the outcome of said war. Face with impossible odds, even with the assistance of the most worthy allies ever to come to the United Republic's aid, I found no reasonable alternative. I was forced to conclude the magnitude of the situation and held an emergency meeting with a representative from the Communist Federation of Stoklomolvi. Together we jointly agreed on a few things, but one thing in particular. Millions of innocents would undoubtedly die in the name of defending our protection of Stoklomolvi, and that was something we universally did not want.

After a short discussion, I formally declared proposed a Peace Accord that was further ratified by all parties invading the United Republic. The basic's of the Accord are as follows:

A) Cessation of current hostilies and re-establishment of normal peacetime relations between all parties.
B) Cessation of all Anagonian support for communist forces, in all theatres. Time is granted to the United Republic to withdraw in good order.
C) West Island shall remain sovereign to the United Republic, and is granted to the Reich as unrestricted leasehold.
D) Lyran and Anagonian militaries agree to establish military facilities on each others soil, under unrestricted leasehold, the details of which can be established at a later date.

A small victory was gained when Anagonia was permitted to continue normal operations in the nation of Fictions, the origin of the cowardly terrorist attack that took our previous Chief Governor's life. This was held true only if Anagonian assets did not assist Communist agenda's in any manner, and therefore as of this morning I am fully enacting this Peace Accord. All Anagonian Assets in Stoklomolvi are being pulled back to the Homeland, as with all Forces in theatres assisting the Communist Agenda around the globe. It is an unfortunate act that I must oblige by, either forced or pressed, and therefore will not break for the sake of what honor Anagonia remains to have on the World Stage.

I firmly believe this outcome was the best to result from the Invasion, and the war in general. While I would like to have seen Anagonia follow triumphantly alongside our dear Allies in the Stoklomolvi Coalition, I cannot willingly state that this following could be undertaken with the loss of millions of civilian innocents. It is with this knowledge that I accepted this Peace Accord, and with this knowledge that I believe I made the right decision. My deepest apologies go out to all our allies whom need our assistance currently, but I must state again that Anagonia shall honor this Peace Accord to the letter and back down from the Global War into neutrality.

The Chazakain government has received the message put forth by the Anagonias and agrees to most of its terms, we will allow their troops to leave our shores at their leisure and to bring forth any unarmed transports that they may need to withdrawal their men, we will not attack any of these transports or any other Anagonia ships provided they do not land new troops or attack our ships/troops/etc. We thank them for the honorable battles and if they would like we would be willing to help set up cemeteries/markers on the beacheads for any soldiers/sailors/etc killed or help ship their bodies back to the Anagonia homeland. Honestly, we talked to you. We attacked you because your men marched into our camp, listened to our translator, then knocked him out. This is easily a breach of our sovereignty as a nation.
