I'm pleased to say things seem to be going really well in this RP (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=577152) so far. However, if there is a need for OOC notes, clarifications, issues, etc., that's what this thread is for.

As an FYI, I've created a factbook (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=577727) for Rymeria with a post outlining the names of some of the characters aboard the Republic. I might do bios of those characters in a subsequent post or in subsequent posts.

Just officially registering interest in joining... a bit late but if it would be possible I would love to join. Though admittedly at the moment it's not an appropriate time just at the moment.

I think once we get through this first round of first contacts, you're more than welcome to join in.

Well, I'd be keen for another once thing's quiet down a bit.

Would be vaguely amusing for Lancing to get disturbing in the middle of supper twice in an evening.

Bastien is already somewhat annoyed, to be honest. She was hoping for a first contact, maybe share a meal with Blakeney, and move along. Not to be, I suppose.

Hope nobody minds what TMM is doing with Nathan. Someone should give TMM enough info so that he can figure out all the politics that are involved in the "piracy" charge.

I don't mind OOCly at all. I'd chalk it up to the challenges of trying to keep from being a snitch and seeing another kid tattling.

ICly, on the other hand, you aren't exactly going to be Blakeney's closest friend after doing that...

The thing is that TMM believes in Law and Order. These are legit government reps telling him that someone stole their spaceship. Naturally, he's going to cooperate with the government.

Nathan can still explain the problem to TMM, and probably convince him to run cover for him--IF he can prove that the government is megalomaniacal and out to make the galaxy less than safe, as is indeed the case. Then, Aurora City would have quite a challenge on its hand. Brain Jar is tougher than it looks. :) :) :)

That is to say, Aurora City would probably find Brain Jar sitting between itself and Nathan's ship, shields at full power, but weapons powered down.

I don't mind, it's all interesting the less scripted it is. Anything could happen, except I don't want the WSE to fall cuz then I'd have to make a new avatar and I'm too lazy :p Other than that it's all good.

Just letting you know the "strong suggestion" isn't going to sit well with the Rymerian government at all.

I doubt very seriously the Republic would stand a chance in a firefight against the Aurora City, but its defenses and the planet's would probably get their first live test if they deem it necessary.

On an OOC note, sorry for the extended delay between my previous post and my most recent one. I've been a bit uninspired for this storyline in addition to being busy trying to find a job in this horrible economy.

Well...I understand that. Last Wednesday, I went downtown and dropped about 30 resumes off in various places.
