Hi, thanks for checking out the thread.

I am looking to find an active RPer who would be interested in helping me shape and develop the set of characters and the organisation that I wish to roleplay as. My general idea is simple; a militant left-wing faction rising from a section of a national population and carrying out a terrorist/guerilla war campaign against the existing government in hopes of either toppling the regime or controlling an area of the country itself. This group, the Red Militia Forces, would be RPed by me.

In order to make this more interesting, I would like to find someone who would be interested in having all this happen within their own nation - my characters would therefore be part of the nationality and culture of that RPers nation as a left-wing guerilla organisation. This of course requires the RPer in question to be interested in a series of in-depth, largely character-based RPs initially, and of having this form an official part of their nation's history. As the story progresses, the next steps can be negotiated between myself and that RPer - one idea, as I said, being some kind of Vietnam/Korea division, but that of course is only one such possibility.

I would be interested in knowing if anyone is interested in this.

As a clarification; I don't wish to play an organisation that is already in existence and is seeking bases for its fighters - what I wish to do is RP the development of such a group from another RPer's populace and conduct a guerilla campaign as a 'home-grown' terrorist group within that country. Hypothetically, should such a story develop to a point whereby the RMF had, for example, a stable control of territory within that state, I may look at international activities. However, as I said, what I'm looking for is a state willing to have me RP a guerilla organisation from their own populace fighting for liberation against the government, possibly with the mind of liberating an area of their country as a People's Republic.

However, thankyou for the interest, and I hope we RP together in the future at some point. :)

Your welcome to use Chazaka and other puppets as your host population but you may have competition(or possibly help) from my own home-grown terrorist group the CCG which conveniently is talked about in that link Falk provided.

I'm sorry, I'm not entirely sure what link you're talking about. The idea of having an alternative group in the country in competition would be interesting, although would not make much sense unless the CCG was of a different variation of left-wing ideology - otherwise, the people would most likely just joint the CCG. :) Perhaps you can provide a little more information on that group? Lundastal is a centrist nation which was seriously threatened by the Soviet Union from the 1950s to the collaspe of the USSR. The main communist political party is the Lundastalian Socialist Party, who would probably support the Red Militia Forces openly.

The nation's culture is quite Slavic, with Russian the state language, though, in terms of buildings, it is moving towards a mix of Eastern and Western cultures.

The nation, geographicly, is very small, south of Ukraine and west of Russia. The offical population is 2.5 million. In weather, it has exactly the same climate as Russia.

I reckon the RMF would do quite well in the Republic, thanks to a growing leftist population and no serious Marxist terror group in the nation. You may gain control of a province after many days of roleplaying, but do not expect the country. Yet.

Your idea sounds quite interesting. Having a look at your introduction post (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=14334389#post14334389), I have one or two ideas in mind.

To clarify for those reading, the RMF would follow a doctrine with much in common with original Marxist thought, with concepts of Libertarian Socialism and Anarch-Communism thrown in. Basically, it would be a prominent advocate of human rights and democracy, and would look at democratisation of industry along the lines of Worker's Councils electing a Board of Directors to form business plans and voting upon their undertaking. In government, it would involve the establishment of a set of local People's Councils to manage affairs at a local level, although federal institutions would exist to manage issues such as foreign policy, international trade, and other policies deemed nationally rather than locally significant. Part of the development of the RMF will involve me writing a specific doctrine that the group follows in this respect - sort of my own version of Lenin's "What is to be done?"

Lundastal, with the LSP, it appears to be a left-wing group that, you claim, is riddled with corruption and seems to cater to extremist authoritarian doctrines, i.e. "closet Stalinists." In this respect, I could see the RMF being an interesting alternative to the LSP - for example, a more militant group that expresses the voices of those frustrated by the LSP's corruption and authoritarian, Marxist-Leninist interpretations of left-wing thought. Let me know what you think.
