"Good Morning ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to the morning news from the DPNS" The young, attractive, female newsreader said to the camera "Our great nation and her navy today celebrates the launch of our first 'Valiant Class' Aircraft carrier from Trenso Navel base, our reporter is down there"
<Trenso Navel Base>
"Admiral!" One of the many reporters called "DPNS, who will be captaining the Valiant?"
"The Captain will be announced in less than thirty minutes" Fleet Admiral Alexander Munro replied "As you all know we've faced riducule and threats due to our lack of a carrier in our fleet, however we have not built on so that we can gather our resources to be able to build not one but three carriers within several months of each other"
"Admiral, is there another type of carrier that the Valiant has been based on?"
"Much of the outside form is based on that of a Nimitz class carrier, but all the equipment is the most advanced we've got in our great nation, including F/A 30 Raptor II fighters"
<DPS Valiant Bridge>
"Captain on the Bridge!" A young ensign called.
"Thank you" Captain Shaun White responded as he stepped aboard the Bridge

Re: Valiant-class carrier
Congratulations on the successful debut of your new carrier! We recommend you defend it with quality escorts, such as our recently-developed MC-16 Fort Shaw-class large missile cruisers, and ensure its security with MH-1 Mica minehunters. Please consider us (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=14335975&postcount=7) for your naval defense needs.

Re; Valiant-Class Carrier
The USDP will strongly consider your recommendaton, as much of our navel spending in the last decade has been on the Carrier and her fighters and Tech, so our Cruisers and destroyers are a bit behind the curve, expect a order soon.

OOC - please see the storefronts thread. You can't afford a $28.8 billion purchase now. You can afford more modest payments over time, totaling $28.8 billion after some time.

The meeting was entering its third hour, not that was a unusual, National Intelligence Meetings tended to last up to six hours. Of course it was the day after Christmas and most of the people present would rather be at home, but since the Commonwealth's enemies didn't take the day off neither did they.
National Intelligence Director Scott Moore looked to the young analyst conducting the meeting, "Right then Gregory, what's next on the agenda?"
Junior Analyst Gregory Stewart checked his voluminous notes before answering the Director's question. "The nation of Dante Peak has launched an aircraft carrier, their first. I spoke to Captain Lord Perkins at ONI (Office of Naval Intelligence) this morning and they're not impressed. She appears to be a pretty basic Nimitz type clone. They don't appear to have much in the way of escorts in service at the moment either. Overall, we classify this as nonissue to Commonwealth interests."
Moore leafed through his notes for a moment before nodding slightly, his sign that he concurred with the judgement and that no further discussion was warranted.
Stewart changed slides and moved on. "Now as you can see here the ethnic cleansing in..."

'Welcome to the open sea. May you have clear skies and wind in your sails'
Shuan smiled "At least someones being nice to us" He commented sending a reply.
Thank you for your gracious welcome, and your message of good luck
"Helm officer, take us to meet our cruisers, they may not be much till we get the Fort shaw class, but its better than nothing" Shaun ordered.
"Two are due within a few weeks" Stuart commented.
