Ladies and Gentlemen. I am sorry to interupt your favorite broadcast of Uncle Marley and the Joint Sisters for this important broadcast. Tonight from the President himself, George Emanuel stated to aides that Henderson Island is anti-corporation and that all independent businesses and all foreign corporations in Henderson Island will effectively come under state and federally funded administration. As well, President Emanuel has cancelled much sought after elections that Henderson Island had agreed to with the World Assembly for it to recognize Henderson Island after it seperated from our main-land colonizers.

Now there is some outrage in opposition corners tonight in the capital of Conikary but most Henderson Island residents have not been looking forward to this democratic opportunity as in the last six weeks only 43,000 people in Henderson Island have registered to vote for a total of 200,000 people overall.

Mr. Harry Mtungi, Internal Affaird HI said;

"We have just engaged in a five-year old political, economic and sometimes military conflict with the mainland colonizers that has sapped the strength of the good Henderson Island people. Now the World Assembly wants to impose elections on us while we have had a good man in President George Emanuel running the affairs of our nation since we declared independence three months ago. And think of the cost an election would have at these troubling economic times? At least 10 million dollars so President George Emanuel with consultations with me and the rest of his staff have decided the best course of action for Henderson Island. Thank you!"

Having recently received word that your nation will no longer hold promised elections, in addition to the forced seizure of both foreign and domestically-owned private businesses, The Armed Republic of Salzland must strongly condemn the actions taken by your state. We regard your stated justification for the suspension of elections (namely the financial cost being too high for your nation to afford) with a great deal of suspicion, as we are certain numerous international entities would be more than happy to accept such a small cost in return for another stabilized, democratic nation. The President and leaders of the Salzland legislature have both made it very clear that my own nation would be willing to fund said elections.

As troubling as your nation's shift to totalitarianism is however the seizure of private businesses, including those owned by foreign companies, is unacceptable. As your nation has already indicated that its economy is in shambles (to the point where it is unable to afford a pittance for a free and fair election), we are certain that your nation will not adequately compensate the wronged corporations in this instance.

Because it is the duty of The Armed Republic to protect its citizens from harms, both domestically and abroad, it is my responsibility to inform you that should any assets in your nation owned by Salzland nationals or corporations be so seized, then Salzland will take actions to seize assets of equivalent value maintained by the Nation of Henderson Island. Additionally, our nation will take steps to freeze bank accounts maintained by your nation and nationals in Salzland, as well as pettition our allies to take similar actions against the assets maintained in their nations by your own.

It is our sincere hope that your nation will see the light of reason, and turn away from this self-destructive course.

_____While we here in the Shazbotdom Empire feel that Democracy is the most important thing that citizens of a nation can hold dear, we feel that it should not be taken away over what one man feels is nessicary. Although we will take no stance officially on the matter of your President canceling the elections for his position, we just feel that sometime in the future, hopefully within a 4 year timeframe, the President does hold elections so the people can pick the leader of their nation.


_____With that being said; We wish for a State Visit of members of the Shazbotdom Empire to the The Commonwealth of Henderson Island as a show of good faith between our two people. We here at the Shazbodom Empire are willing to send two key diplomats as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs to your nation for discussions and negotiations for a trade agreement that would help benifit both our Empire as well as your Commonwealth.

_____If this conference is acceptable for you, our party will leave here destined for The Commonwealth of Henderson Island on a Modified Boeing 787 as soon as possible. Although we do require them to be accompanied by 2 Fire Teams from the Shazbotdom Marine Corps, they will be armed with Small Arms (XR-02 "Magnum" Handgun) as per our Foreign Policy as it pertains to the transporation of Government Officials outside of the Empire. Gerald put on a black parka and toque and grabbed two beer bottles from the kitchen refrigerator and opened the door to the back door of his parents house. The house was situated in central Conikary in the mostly African and Asian neighborhood of Hell's Den. Gerald was only 14 years old and unlike his parents who were totally supportive of the President's decision, that occured through news broadcase just one hour before, Gerald wasn't. Now he and some local youths were setting up a blockade on 5th street and 7th avenue directly across from a small Henderson Island Constabulary Department referred to as "HICD" by youths in this poor neighborhood.

As Gerald appeared there was already three burning tires on a bunch of twigs and rocks and two police personnel carriers were directly across from 10 young males and 3 young females about 50/50 Asian and African. Gerald heard some of the older boys shouting obsceneities at about 30 HICD officers standing by the two personnel carriers and rocks were being thrown by youths at the officers.

Terry a Asian boy of 16 years old saw Gerald with the two beer bottles and he and another boy Phillip grabbed them, cramming worn cloth into the necks and then lighting the alcohol covered rags with a zippo lighter. Gerald's mouth dropped when Terry tossed one of the burning Molotov's at the "HICD" position hitting the lead personnel carrier on its windowshield. The boy's didn't have a chance to throw the second molotov as that was when "HICD" troops opened fire with rubber bullets and water hoses.

Gerald grabbed onto his upper right shoulder and his midsection as two rubber coated bullets hit him leaving nasty red welts on his shoulder and stomach. He was lucky to duck as the lead personnel carrier drove straight into the barricade knocking burning tires across the street and striking two female youths to the ground, running over an Asian girl's left leg. And right in front of his eyes Gerald saw the second molotov explode as a rubber bullet hit it resulting in Terry being engulfed in flames. "HICD" police officers tackled Terry and beat out the flames in seconds but he was already critically injured.

Other youths scathered as more rubber bullets were fired at them. In the space of twenty minutes a small youth protest was over, 5 youths and one police officer was wounded, one youth critical (Terry) and six others were in "HICD" custody.

"Ters, darling?"

Lord Terrance Haynsworth-Barrett reined in his horse and turned aside from the polo field to watch his wife cantering up upon her own mare. His fellows paused, and he looked back for a moment, motioning for them to continue on without him, while he moved to the treeline for some privacy. Baroness Gwendolyn did not often interrupt her husband, which meant something quite extraordinary had occasioned her apparent agitation.

"It's Henderson, dear. The people there. . . they're revolting," she said plainly, biting the lower portion of her lip.

"Well, yes," answered Terrance with a slight upturn of his mouth. "But they're ours, after all." The Baroness fixed him with a spit from her eye and looked to roast him like so many stuck boars.

"I'm quite serious, you know!" she scolded him, punctuating her frustration with a jab of her finger in his direction. "They've got their own little commune going on down there, and by this time on the morrow, they'll have the whole island hooting and hollering and firing about like uncivilised scoundrels, and we've still got people down there—people of a good mould, honest and trusting in our protection, which if you don't provide, will more than likely to perish at the hands of these tyrannical, centralist ruffians!" Halfway through her oratory, the Baron held up his hand and motioned for her to settle herself, although she did so only when she was finished, like a tiger that was spent after a long chase. Her shoulders sagged, and she sighed, then abortively making an effort to mend her ruffled tresses to find something to do that did not involve falling forward into her husband's arms like a burlap sack.

"All right, all right!" Terrance conceded, trying not to admire his wife in her fury. "You're quite right, after all, and you always are. I'll send down the Third Regiment of Foot to show these proletarians what-for, hm?"

She nodded, and, feeling rather out of place now that her business was finished, turned to go back to the house.

"Carry on, lads!" the Baron called over his shoulder to the men still half-milling about on the field. "Tally ho!" And with that, he struck off to play some other game, and one which he immensely enjoyed, unsurprisingly more than equestrianism.

Gerald woke up in the HICD police station at 5th street and 7th avenue along with seven other youths. The two young females and Terry were at the main general hospital in Conikary retrieving treatment for their injuries along with the police officer that had been lightly injured.

On Haliburton Avenue in western Conikary several police personnel carriers had arrived outside the corporate offices of Oil Boom a foreign oil corporation had hired on about three dozen Henderson Islanders to work for less than 1.50 a day while three foreign corporate executives made a cool 500 dollars a day operating a oil and gas field about 40 miles east of Conikary.

The signal was given and flash-bang grenades were tossed over the compound walls which resulted in a surprised cry from a Oil Boom Henderson Island security guard.

Boom! Boom!

Bright light lit up the compound as the first two police personnel rammed their way onto the compound. A police lieutenant and three constables exited the rear of one of the two and with automatic weapons drawn detained the startled and half-blind security guard with plastic zap-straps on his ankles and wrists. Three more police personnel carriers entered and an additional 15 police personnel entered the compound.

The lieutenant and his squad proceeded to the front entrance of the foreign oil firm detaining one Henderson Island woman who appeared to be a secretary before entering the office building along with a second four man team that entered around back of the building. The second team upon making entrance into the back of the building tossed a flash-bang grenade into the security office which stunned the only other security guard (foreigner) on duty and quickly detaining that individual as well. The two teams quickly moved through the four floor building seizing financial records and operations manuals as well as freezing the corporation Henderson Island bank account with a total of 2 million dollars in the bank account remaining. Another two Henderson Island employees of Oil Boom were detained along with two foreign men who were detained on the fourth floor of the building.

Hello ladies and gentlemen I am happy to say tonight that Oil Boom, a foreign oil firm that got resource rights from the mainland colonizers two years ago has had its Henderson Island bank assests seized as well as its corporate office in Conikary with the detention of four Henderson Island citizens, one Henderson Island dual citzen with a still unnamed second nation and a foreign middle-manager of Oil Boom along with his foreign assisstant from the same nation.

Though the Government of Salzland was unable to maintain embassies in every nation of the world, it tried to maintain a Consolate in as many countries as humanly possible if only to give its expatriate citizens access to a small piece of their homeland. The consulate in Henderson Island had opened during the previous colonial period, after an influx of Salzland citizens arrived in the territory. Henderson Island's Salzland expatriate community was small even by local standards, with only a few hundred members including families and local relatives. The Consulate staff prided itself on presiding over a close-knit expat community. So when Tanya Jacobs, originally from the city of Liel in Northern Salzland, entered the Consulate clearly distraught, the staff took immediate attention.

"Please sit down, Mrs. Jacobs. What can we do for you?" Asked the receptionist, as a second staff member strode off to get the Consul. For a Salzland national to show up at the Conulate in such a state, there had to be something seriously wrong. Something that would absolutely require the attention of the Consul.

"It's my husband, my David!" She yelled, in tears. "He's been kidnapped!"

"Kidnapping, Mrs. Jacobs? I'm glad you brought this matter to our attention, but it seems to me the Henderson Island police should be taking the lead in this investigation," Joseph Jones spoke, walking into the Consulate lobby. A greying man in his mid-50s, Jones, as Consul, was given the task of representing The Armed Republic of Salzland to the nation and people of Henderson Island since there was no Salzland embassy present.

"But they've taken him! The police kidnapped my David!" Mrs. Jacobs continued, causing Consul Jones to frown. "He was working at the Oil Boom corporate office when the police raided it, and they arrested him," She continued, "And now they're holding him without charging him. They won't even let me speak to him, and besides that news broadcast they won't even admit they have him!" With that, Mrs. Jacobs slumped her shoulders, completely drained following the emotional stress she had been placed under.

David Jacobs was a native of Henderson Island, who received a visa to study at the Rostgard School of Engineering, in the capitol of Salzland. There he met Tonya Polanski, soon to be Jacobs, working at the time as a work-study assistant to one of the Engineering faculty. After graduating the couple had moved back to Henderson Island, where David had received a good job offer from Oil Boom. David enjoyed Salzland citizenship by marriage, and as such enjoyed the full protections and priviledges provided by citizenship in said nation.

"I see, Mrs. Jacobs," Replied Jones, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "I have to send word to Rostgard, but believe me, we'll get David back. In the mean time, Paul, send out a message to our people that it would be a good time for them to get to the Consulate and out of this country. Keep it low-key; there's no sense tipping off the locals. Yet."

This situation is unacceptable. We demand that Mr. Jacobs be either charged with a crime or released immediately. Regardless of which option you choose, we further demand that Mr. Jacobs be permitted contact with the outside world, including with his wife, family and an attorney, as mandated under international law.

Should these conditions not be met, and should your nation continue its criminal acts of theft and terrorism, there will be severe consequences.

Today we have detained seven people in an operation at the foreign lead Oil Boom firm. Five of them that have been detained are Henderson Island citizens and two are foreign executives of Oil Boom and their nation of origin will be contactede shortly. We are happy in our investigation to release three of the Henderson Island citizens, a Ms. Georgia Waters, Amanda Yu and Walther Mukumi. However we are charging Henderson Island citizens Anthony Watergate, 31, Caucasian profession security guard and Henderson Island citizen with a passport from Salzland, David Jacobs, 27 African profession security guard with two felonies offences.

Johnathon Marcus Davis was tired. It was well past one in the morning, and the night showed no signs of ending any time soon. A day that had begun with the conversion of a budding democracy into a totalitarian state that was forcibly nationalizing private businesses had now grown into a hostage crisis involving a fellow citizen of Salzland. To top it all off, the President of Salzland had made the resolution of this incident a personal priority.

The Foreign Relations Minister sighed, drumming his fingers on his wooden desk and leaning back in his office chair. Abandoning David Jacobs, or any Salzland citizen for that matter, was an unthinkable act. Yet thus far, the Henderson Islanders seemed to be resolute in their intent to put Jacobs, along with additional foreign nationals, in front of kangaroo courts. What purpose the Henderson Island Government felt these sham courts would serve, beyond earning the ire of the international community, was beyond him. Yet something had to be done. Taking a sip of coffee to try and shake out some of the mental cobwebs that were forming, he began to type out two statements. One would be carried to the Communications Department in the Foreign Relations Ministry basement, for encryption and transmission to the Government of Henderson Island.

The second would be carried across the street, to the Ministry of Defense.

It is our earnest desire that a diplomatic solution be reached in this incident; in order to do this however, we require that international law be followed and our citizens not be held hostage.

Once again, I wish to remind you that should your criminal and terroristic actions in this matter not immediately cease and desist, there will be swift and severe consequences.

Salzland Ministry of Defense Press Release

At this time, we wish to announce that as part of the Salzland Defense Ministry's annual FleetEx program, Task Force 3.1 of the Salzland Third Fleet will deploy for exercises in the Henderson Island region over the course of the upcoming week. The exercise will include a simulated air and naval engagement, as well as a simulated beach assault against a prepared target by a detachment of Salzland Defense Force Marines. The purpose of this exercise will be to test the readiness of the Third Fleet in responding to an invasion attempt by a hostile power, followed by a hypothetical counter-assault.

Such an action would not only be a gesture of bad faith toward ongoing diplomatic relations between our nations, but would constitute an additional criminal action on top of the unlawful detention of our citizen.

Once again, I will express the sincere desire that your nation might come to its senses and release Mr. Jacobs, along with the other foreign nationals being detained in your nation. Thank you.

Following a series of terse communiques back and forth between the Consulate and Rostgard, Consul Jones issued an order for all Salzland citizens in the nation of Henderson Island to report to the Consulate. The contact list had been staggered, so that several hundred people would not arrive all at once and tip off any potential observors that something was amiss. Additionally, the order had been handed out in person, to remove any possibility of its interception by agents of the Henderson Island Government. Over the past few hours a slow trickle of citizens had arrived, until the lobby and many parts of the building were jammed with people.

Many were not fully aware of the situation, but had received enough information in the Consular communique to know that something had gone wrong in the nation of Henderson Island, and that it would soon be time for them to depart. Subtle hints, such as the presence of the Consulate's small contingent of Marine guards in full body armor and carrying rifles in addition to their sidearms, reinforced this belief. For the time being however, the people would have to wait. For only the Consul and a handful of his staff knew what would preceed their evacuation, should events continue on their present course.

Officer Robert Yang ducked as the brick whizzed by his head. Anger was boiling over in several neighborhoods in Conikary mostly African and Asian neighborhoods after yesterday's 'peaceful' protest of youths that resulted in six injuries all together and a number of arrests. Officer Yang headed over his higher up and gave him a salute.

"How is the situation today sir?"

"Well we have made an additional four arrests for vandalizing government property and disorderly conduct and we had two officers injured by flying bricks over on Wilker drive."

Officer Yang was about to respond when he heard the whiz of a bullet over his head before he heard the loud pop. He dropped down behind the police cruiser along with his superior officer as three policemen in the next cruiser opened fire with semi-automatic weapons at a near-by apartment complex. A fourth officer nearby fell wounded to the sidewalk with blood pooling around his left arm.

Officer Yang pulled out his side arm and fire four shots at the apartment complex and down the street at nearly 40 protestors watching one young man fall wounded before seing the man disappear after being pulled to safety by fellow protestors.

Then officer Yang saw two officers that were suppose to be two blocks east come running, no weapons and without their riot police helmets. He stood up hearing two more shots ping off the squad car and he stopped a caucasian officer and said;

"Why have you left your unit officer?"

Officer Padinski stopped and said "We were attacked by gunfire sir. Officer Macredy received a fatal wound to the chest and officers Hendal and Rodriquez got picked up by a passing ambulance with Hendal suffering from a gun shot wound to the left knee sir. We were able to shot two of the gunmen dead sir but we are out manned."

Yang's commanding officer then stood up as another officer received a wound to the shoulder and stated for them to disengage from the area.

Violence has broken out today in Central Conikary a day after President George Emanuel declared elections suspended and that all foreign and private businesses will be government run. Police officers from the Henderson island Constabulary department withdrew from central Conikary after two police officers were shot and killed along with three demonstrators and another eight people, including three police officers were wounded. Most Henderson Island residents largely support the take-over of private assessts but are unhappy about the canceling of elections and the detention of youths from yesterday's riot.

Firstly diplomatic communication between nations that do not share the same encryption codes is impossible. Open communication between Governments on such a level is usual and common. What is not common is for a third party to intrude in on those communications uninvited, it is simply a further example of your nation trying to ensure the people of Henderson Island are denied their democratic processes.
If the Henderson regime had asked you to reply on their behalf, that sir would have been a separate matter, however it is because of your heavy hand that you arrogantly feel you can intrude on any messages between Governments. To spy is one thing, to listen or read is accetable, to intrude in such communication is not acceptable in a modern world.

Secondly we haven't applied a heavy hand we have simply stated and still do, that they should return to the proper democratic process that the WA has asked. The sun had just set, bathing the flight deck of the SDFS Valiant in darkness as the massive Gerald R. Ford-Class aircraft carrier cut its way through the ocean. While the remainder of Task Force 3.1 participated in scheduled fleet exercises, the Valiant and its escorts had turned East, pointing directly at the nation of Henderson Island. A dozen SH-60 Sea Hawk helicopters sat on the deck, rotors spinning up, prepared to lift off at a moment's notice. They would be joined by four more Sea Hawks from the carrier's accompanying Cruiser escorts, in order to speed the evacuation, but it would still take two trips to evacuate everyone.

As Admiral Victor Smith strode through the Combat Information Center on the Valiant, he admitted that he could afford to be patient, and accept the necessity of the second trip. As could his 'guests.'

In light of our ongoing Fleet Exercises in the Henderson Island region, the Defense Ministry wishes to announce that there will be a two hundred (200) mile aerial and nautical exclusion zone around its military forces, as said forces will be test-firing live munitions during upcoming exercises. OOC Edit: Rather than Metagame reading someone else's mail, I'm going to say this out of character (mostly for Shazbotdom). My nation absolutely will not stand for the detention of its citizens under an ex post facto law, which the international community and legal precedence do not recognize as legal or binding. HICD police officers launched a house by house search of two highly violent areas in central Conikary this night after rioting left five people dead including two police officers. Their stated aim was to clear out criminals that have infiltrated the ranks of protestors. I feel that I might best answer this out of character, as I attempted to previously. Because I will continue my policy of not responding to metagamed communications in-character.

International law and the "World Alliance" (I believe you mean 'World Assembly') are in no way, shape or form identical. The same can be carried over into real life; international law existed long before the United Nations came into existence in San Francisco. The very basis of international relations rest on a foundation of international law, such as rights of diplomats and respecting trade agreements (and legal recourses for voiding said agreements, etcetera) draw on thousands of years of human interactions and legal traditions.

Laws of an ex post facto nature, or laws establishing punishments for actions that were legal when they were taken, are one example of laws that are not recognized internationally. Though Henderson Island is not a WA member, I would kindly ask you to find a state which would agree to have its citizens tried in a foreign nation's criminal court for actions that were entirely legal when they were taken. Should Salzland decide to nationalize Shazbotdom businesses in Salzland, and arrest all of their employees as enemies of the state (including Shazbotdom citizens) and execute them without access to attornies or any due process of law simply because they were Shazbotdom businessmen, would the Government of Shazbotdom agree to abide by this? I would certainly hope not, and while my example is extreme the same basic principles apply.

It is the sworn duty of government to protect and defend its citizens from threats both domestic and foreign, and certainly throwing a nation's citizens before a sham court for actions that were legal literally until the moment of their arrest certainly count as an example of such a threat. Salzland will not tolerate the imprissonment of its citizens, especially when they have not only been denied any process of law, but tried, convicted and imprissoned without any justifiable legal basis. The actions of Henderson Island in this incident amount to kidnapping, and the Government of Salzland is treating it as such.

I will once again kindly ask that you stop reading and responding to encrypted, secret-in-character diplomatic communications as it amounts to no more than a God-mode. If your nation wishes to know what is going on in this incident then either Henderson Island needs to post stating that he/she has passed you my diplomatic communications, or you need to ask my Government what I am doing and why.

I feel that I might best answer this out of character, as I attempted to previously. Because I will continue my policy of not responding to metagamed communications in-character.

International law and the "World Alliance" (I believe you mean 'World Assembly') are in no way, shape or form identical. The same can be carried over into real life; international law existed long before the United Nations came into existence in San Francisco. The very basis of international relations rest on a foundation of international law, such as rights of diplomats and respecting trade agreements (and legal recourses for voiding said agreements, etcetera) draw on thousands of years of human interactions and legal traditions.

Laws of an ex post facto nature, or laws establishing punishments for actions that were legal when they were taken, are one example of laws that are not recognized internationally. Though Henderson Island is not a WA member, I would kindly ask you to find a state which would agree to have its citizens tried in a foreign nation's criminal court for actions that were entirely legal when they were taken. Should Salzland decide to nationalize Shazbotdom businesses in Salzland, and arrest all of their employees as enemies of the state (including Shazbotdom citizens) and execute them without access to attornies or any due process of law simply because they were Shazbotdom businessmen, would the Government of Shazbotdom agree to abide by this? I would certainly hope not, and while my example is extreme the same basic principles apply.

It is the sworn duty of government to protect and defend its citizens from threats both domestic and foreign, and certainly throwing a nation's citizens before a sham court for actions that were legal literally until the moment of their arrest certainly count as an example of such a threat. Salzland will not tolerate the imprissonment of its citizens, especially when they have not only been denied any process of law, but tried, convicted and imprissoned without any justifiable legal basis. The actions of Henderson Island in this incident amount to kidnapping, and the Government of Salzland is treating it as such.

I will once again kindly ask that you stop reading and responding to encrypted, secret-in-character diplomatic communications as it amounts to no more than a God-mode. If your nation wishes to know what is going on in this incident then either Henderson Island needs to post stating that he/she has passed you my diplomatic communications, or you need to ask my Government what I am doing and why.

Where are these international laws that you talk about then? The only two ways to make international law in this game is to create alliances between nations or joint he WA. That has how it's been since the beginning of the game. There are no magical international laws such as the ones you are talking about.

And unless your people have diplomatic immunity as per WA Resolutions, as last I checked the only Resolution to have that would be Historial Resolution #127, which was null and voided when the organization that came before the WA was disbanded in the formation of the WA. So therefore according to his national law, your people violated his nations laws and are thereby subject to his nations laws. Trying to create a militaristic international incident about the subject is just foolhardy.

The run into the very isolated and deserted beach was achieved in quiet, they followed the blinking light that was their direction beacon.

They outer breakers were the greatest challenge, but to these experienced special forces men the challenge was meet and surmounted. The rafts came gently onto the beach, 4 of the men quietly ran up to the jungle line, where the blinking light was turned of by its owner Max Hastings, operative of Rechburg Intelligence and longtime Henderson Island surf bum.

While the 4 men formed a cordon around the landing zone, the other two men, the two sailors operating the muffled motors and Max all carried the canisters from the beach to his waiting van.
Once unloaded, the rubber rafts quietly returned to their submarines, the men and the canisters disappeared into the interior of Henderson Is.

This is the fourth day since President George Emanuel's announcement and so far there has been no violence reported last night and this morning. Overall 6 people have been killed in the riots and nearly 22 other people wounded with 30 people arrested. Also today we have learned that Mr. David Jacobs has been turned over to Salzland consulate.

We have also learned that two Red Tide citizens who work for Oil Boom have been charged with

And two health code violations worth 10,000 dollars each in fines for poor working conditions in the oil patch. We would also like to note that Oil Boom has opened business under Alfred Rendel, 31 Henderson Island citizen who will have it back and running in full capacity in a week.

Amphibious Ready Group Twenty
180 Nautical Miles SE of Henderson Island

Four big CH-55 "Mule" assault helos lifted off from the deck of the amphibous assault ship HMS Westover (LHD-28) and headed towards Henderson Island. Each helo carried a Marine rifle squad and a medic to treat any minor injuries the evacuess may have sustained. As the Henderson Island government had voiced no opposition to the operation, resistance was not expected. However, it never hurt to be prepared and the escort carrier HMS Pegasus (CVE-109) had a flight of four F-35C strike planes orbiting the ARG. Another four F-35Cs and four F-35Bs were on standby should the operation turn ugly.

The Henderson Island Constabulary Department was well aware of the Tolvan military operation that would evacuate a number of Tolvan foreign nationals in the capital of Conikary and since no members of the Tolvan community had been hurt or arrested the were not going to intervene.

The HICD had just received tactical approve to raid a waterfront docks that was a private business runned docks that barely paid shipping docking fees and taxes to the federal government as it claimed it did not make enough money. However, the police had read-outs of two small Henderson Island lobster fishing trawlers and one foreign oil tanker and two cargo ships at port with at least 30 million dollars worth of Henderson Island assests onboard.

Like the Oil Boom operation several personnel carriers slammed into the front gate of the docks. In the confusion three dock workers ran pass rushing HCID members. Two tactical teams headed straight for the docking private offices while another two teams headed to the seaway control operating tower. Both offices were quickly seized and four Henderson Island citizens were released while the private businessman, Mugabe Blair, 58, African was arrested for money laundering and refusal to pay taxes.

Foreign crews on the oil tanker were able to life anchor and set sail along with a cargo ship that had already been in the ocean channel after having refuelled at Conikary but 20 HICD officers were able to seize the second foreign cargo ship without a struggle detaining the foreign captain and first mate while releasing four foreign crew members and 4 Henderson Island deck-hands.

In total, three people were detained, including two foreigners and about 4.5 million dollars in assests seized.

Elsewhere in north-eastern Conikary two more private businesses were seized. One was a car dealership while the second was an applicance store. In total three Henderson Island citizens and one foreign employee were seized in those two raids for a total of seven all together four days after President Emanuel's order to publicize all business, including foreign businesses.

ASoGM citizen and Henderson Island resident Grant Meyers knew that his time was almost up. He'd owned a weapons business in Henderson Island for 6 months, and business was good. But when the government of Henderson Island approved the nationalization of all businesses, he knew that they would get to him soon. He'd had days to prepare, and all of his easily portable assets were ready to go. He jumped into an armored HMMWV with his escort, while 2 other armored HMMWVs were waiting to shield him from the HICD. Their plan was to make it to one of the unraided docks, where there was a cargo ship waiting for them. All of the waiting crew were armed with weapons previously transferred from Meyers' shop, and the personnel in the convoy were also armed. Once the 3 HMMWVs were ready, they took off towards the dock, going the quickest route possible.

Micael Amerez strolled into the foreign affairs office of the Isamora Interior and Foreign Affairs department and straight past the young female secretary and straight into Director Ismail Galing office where he and the Defense Secretary Admiral Richard Johnson were situated.

"Sir we have just received word from the Henderson Island government through telegram that the first mate on the ship the RSS Mattin was detained along with the captain and its Henderson Island native crew. We have confirmed that the first mate is Harold Chessipeake, 49 from Isamora City, Isamora in Disapple District and that he is an uncle to opposition deputy leader Michael Chessipeake. We cannot militarily take on Henderson Island as it is to far away and our military is much smaller than their's and the budgetary costs would be to great. However, I believe cutting off economic ties from our business community to Henderson Island is appropriate until Mr. Harold Chessipeake is freed."

At this time we are sending this letter in diplomatic protest and our currently trying to find out if any more Isamora citizens are currently in Henderson Island and will remove them from your country as quickly as possible without interference from your nation's security apparatus. At this time we are urging all citizens to not engage in business with the Henderson Island government in protest for this seizure. At this time we will send a letter of protest to higher members in the World Assembly to see if there is support for a military rescue mission if your government tethers of collapse or refuses to release our detained citizen.

"There is no Henderson Island military or HICD convoys on this road. Attempt to stop the convoy and if they are hostile open fire. We are sending the 2nd military corp to assist you as well."

Ang Yee got Corporal Anti Ming and Private Brian Griffin on two 50. cal machine guns and waited for the convoy to stop.

There was more than one way to skin a cat, thought Grant, and he ordered them to take an alternate route. The convoy quickly turned down one of the side streets, while the radioman in Grant's HMMWV used the encrypted radio to inform the ship's crew that they'd run into a roadblock. The ship's crew informed the HMMWV that they'd picked up the radio signal from the HICD roadblock, and informed them of the impending reinforcements.

Corporal Wayne Hilderman was driving the lead hummer in the six vehicle convoy that was heading to the road-block where a convoy had been seen approaching. He had a young Asian private in the passenger seat and an Asian gunner in the back as did the other five vehicles for a total of 18 soldiers.

They then head over the radio;

Since the HICD radios were unencryptyed, the HMMWV convoy heard their communications, and were able to turn off Wilcoxsure Ave before the HICD vehicles were within sight. Shortly after, they got to the dock area, and the only thing standing between them and the ship was a chain link fence. Since the HMMWVs were traveling at a high rate of speed, they burst right through it. They pulled up to where the ship was moored, and Grant jumped out with his briefcase, running up the gangplank. The other men in the convoy stood guard, as a ship's crewman took two suitcases from the back of one of the HMMWVs, and headed up the gangplank. The plan was to leave the HMMWVs, as it would take too long to load them.

Today we would like to announce that the Henderson Island government has announced that their operations in Conikary have ceased with all private and foreign companies seized. In total 6 foreigners have been arrested with one Salzland-Henderson Island citizen David Jacobs being transferred to Salzland authorities while two Red Tide citizens, one Isamora citizen and two non-named citizens still remain in custody along with 40 Henderson Island citizens connected to earlier weeks riot that killed 6 people and another 24 people have been arrested connected to the seizure of property and private business.

With the operation complete Henderson Island forces have seized all private businesses and foreign businesses and nearly 100 million dollars worth of stuff.

With our operation complete we are hoping to open trade agreements with foreign nations that support benefits for Henderson Island citizens and support the Henderson Island government in its change of economic policy.

The cargo ship that Grant Meyers was on prepared to get under way. Once he, his briefcase, the suitcases of money, and his security were on board, they cast off the mooring lines, and pulled away from the docks. The HMMWVs were sitting at dockside, as it would have taken too long to load them. The ship was a couple hundred feet away from the docks when the 3 HMMWVs exploded, as they had been rigged with explosives once Grant realized they could not take them. The ship made its way through the regular shipping channels, and was at full throttle, hoping to make it to international waters before the HICD tried to stop them.
