Subject: General Statement

For too long, the Japanese have stood in their little holes and bunkers, laughing at us and watching us. They invaded us in the past, and now it is their turn to suffer. We will crush the barbarians who attack us everyday. We will finally stamp out the cursed fools who think they can get away with attacking us. We will put off this task no longer. We will act.

We hereby declare war on the Rogue Province of Japan. Any attempts to interfere will be met with fierce retaliation.

An office assistant walked into the Premiers office and places an intelligence report on her desk, and leaves.

After she'd gotten off the phone with a governor from one of the Libyan territories, she flipped through the report and thought to herself.

"Stoklomolvi's declared war on Japan, huh? I'm sure they have their reason."

After looking through it, it would be transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, just so they can log it in the records.

"Admiral. We just recieved word that Stokolmolvi invaded Japan." The Admiral looked at his desk for a while. Imperialist bastards. He thought. "Ok. Well, we should see what the president wants us to do before anything happens." The aide hobbled out. Admiral Anderson picked up the phone. "Yes, Mr.President, we can't just let this slide. What?!, No! But sir this is, they are.." The line went dead. The Admiral put his head in his hands.

Emperor's Palace, Tarisi City

In the midst of the night the Emperor of Tarisi was awoken from his bed by a family advisor. "Your greatness, news of Stoklomolvi invading what was left of Japan..." The Emperor did not stir from his bed. "Your greatness? What shall you have me do?"

After a grunt, and some ruffling of the sheets, the Emperor arose. "Nothing, this will only strengthen our position. As the socialists dive into wars, we will build. However, for formality sake. Call in my ambassadors."

Hours later, the Emperor sat on his balcony throne, overlooking a table where robed ambassadors had taken comfort. "My vassals, I would like it made known to all communist countries that they should be careful as to not make moves that would threaten our interests."

Moments after the Stoklomolvi Declaration, was made, a copy of it was on the president's desk, along with a brief of the international situation. President Fogarty, however, was not at his desk at the time, he was having a little fun in the hot tub, with two very lovely ladies. Half an hour later, when President Fogarty finally made it to his desk, wearing nothing more than a towel, he read over the documents. He then decided, that right after his message with Sasha, he would work on a response. He felt it would be wrong of him to cancel his appointment, as Sasha was a very sought after masseuse, and the appointment had already been paid for, quite a bit of tax payer money actually, that was non-refundable. So, an hour later, after much more than a massage, he finally returned to his desk, and met with his advisers. As he felt the situation needed his utmost attention, he didn't bother changing, and therefor was still wearing just a towel. A total of 8 hours after the first word of the Stoklomolvi Declaration was received, President Fogarty finally issued his own statement. The fact that no forewarning came from the Stoklomolvi government, was worrying to President Fogarty, and his advisers. Japan was a good friend of their nation, so was Stoklomolvi.

Official Statement

The Paedocracy of The Beatus condemns these unprovoked attacks by the Communist Federation of Stoklomolvi.

Kyuo Base, Outside Kyoto, Japan

The 8063rd Logistical Unit had been based at Kyuo Base for many years now. It wasn't the most glamorous post, as nothing really ever happened there. It was in a friendly country, whose only neighbor was another friendly country. The 3,549 troops stationed there, never expected to see combat of any kind, just the stray cargo plane, and vary rarely other military aircraft. Shortly after word of the invasion declaration had been received by the Beatusian High Command, a dispatch was sent out to Kyuo, warning them of the declaration. However, communications were down. Kyuo was unaware of the issue, and the High Command was unsure if it was a mechanical failure, or if Stoklomolvi was jamming communications in Japan as a precursor to the invasion.

"Mr. President, we have reports of the stoklomovi launching an invasion of Japan."
"Have we sent our response?"
"Yes, but can't
"No, I'm afraid we can't help the Japanese at this moment."

"It seems our northern neighbor, Stoklomolvi, has decided the invasion of Japan is a cogent idea, honorable leader." The bearded and bespectacled aide remarked almost nonchalantly as he poured a cup of piping hot tea to an equally bearded but much older and melancholic fellow. The aide cast a glance outside the window, feeling the chill of winter seep in through his thick jacket. He smirked and asked, "Perhaps this is a chance to show these heathens the wrath of God, no?"

"Yes, yes, a thousand times! I declare that our state must retaliate immediately, for is it not the place of the mighty and pure to strike down the evils of this world when it rears its ugly maw like a terrible tiger?" The holy leader snapped, pontificating to the empty air and his aide. "Thunderous anger, manifested in rocket, bombs and instruments of destruction, must wipe out the claw that hovers above Japan!"

"However, beloved leader, we cannot possibly consider a direct war. Our blessed people cannot save the dear from the terrible tiger by kicking in the back of the head. However, if we can, by the will of God, make the deer a tiger to fight back, it is a wiser course of action, no?"

"Ah, yes, yes... you are always wise in your counsel."

Taking this as permission, the aide began contacting a number of military generals to begin shipping out, through backwater and black market channels, arms and financial aid to the Japanese rebels. He sent a message to be discreet and leave no links back to Murud-Janjira. He also asked that some covert diplomatic action be conducted with the various factions of the resistance movement.
