10:20 AM, Local Time. Buddoka, Capital of Afullia.

President Amir Aal-Afique sat at his desk. He fiddled with his several pens and loose sheets of paper that covered his hard oak desk. His life was perfect. He lived in a large mansion, ruled a nation, and had an army at his command. However, while he filled his stomach with large, well prepared meals, his people died in the streets. There was a war in Afullia. His peoples hearts were filled with such fiery, such inconsolable rage that they could fight their hunger to pick up a gun and fight. The commies were nearing the city every day. He knew his life was limited and that his "army" was a failure. He lived in his extravogant mansion while his soldiers were cut down in the jungle. He enjoyed these last weeks. For the end was near. It was very, very near.

He knew it too. He prayed whenever the mosque sounded its speakers and the Imam's voice filled the air. He had tried hard in these last weeks to believe in Allah. But when one fights so hard for sucess and is nearing death, it is hard to believe in a higher power that granted him his posessions. No, there was no higher power helping him now, and he knew there never would be. And even if there was, he would be on its bad side. Though he knew that he lived a life thousands of times superior to those of his people, he would live an after life a million times worse. He took a breath as the artillery shots and cracks of gunshots in the distance quelled his thoughts. He calmed himself. And then, at that moment, in the midst of a battle, the call to prayers ominous tone began to sound.


10:30 AM, Sahllah market. East Buddoka.
Ahmed Abullah gripped his AK-47 tight as the T-55 tank rolled through the streets, kicking up dust and a bloody mist. He breathed it in. This was his moment. This was his nation's moment. This was a moment of revolution. The book of Marx sat in a place of honor. His front chest pocket. The red revolution which he had grown would usher in a new era for his nation and its people. He had started it all. While his leader ate lavish meals of a foreign nation, his people ate what little they could grow or scavenge. Fools. He thought to himself. Even in their darkest defeat the soldiers of the corrupt government still fought. Their minds were filled with the foolish delusion that their leader had instilled inside of them that they could win. They couldn't. The soldiers of the Revolution were fueled by a fury no man can inspire. Only something better. A fury that Freedom itself can inspire.

The T-55 was covered in troops. They laughed and smoked and fired their guns into the air as the tank approached the capital. The soldiers at the gates dropped their guns and surrendered. "Ah! Look at these little girls eh!" Ahmed yelled. The men laughed. The men cowered in fear, frozen. Ahmed reached into his vest and pulled out a Colt 45. He aimed it at one mans head and pulled the trigger. A loud crack ensued. The mans head was peppered with his own blood as a neat, 45. hole was dug into his skull. The other man stood up ad ran. Ahmed aimed and fired. Hitting him in the back as he dropped. "Let us go men! Our war comes to an end!" The man yealled and fired AK rounds into the air. They stormed the capital building and ran through the lavish halls. The periodicallyt fired into the walls. There it was. The office of the president. Ahmed kicked in the door. The wood splintered as its ornate design was shattered by Ahmeds boot. The president sat at his desk in shock. He did not move. did not say a word. "Do you know who I am?" Ahmed asked. the man mad no moves. "I am your worst nightmare." Ahmed grabbed the man's suitand threw him to the floor. The man whimpered as he smashed the marble floor. "Ah, please stop." The president raised his hand in protest. "STOP! Stop!? We are just starting." Ahmed shot the man in his right knee. The man screamed and whailed as he writhed in pain. "NO! PLEASE!!!!" Ahmed raised the pistol again. Firing at his other knee. The man yelled again. The man eventually went into shock from the agony. Ahmed raised his pistol a third time, firing at the man's skull. "VICTORY!!!" Ahmed yelled. His men yelled and screamed. Outside, the new red flag was raised.

OOC: OPEN from here on out. Post what you want. We are now a communist state and are seeking aid for our new developing nation.

Our old government was a corrupt dictatorship. All of our nation was starving. Our leader was stealing all foreign aid and using it to improve his life while people like us, the common man, starved. With all due respect, our actions represent the best interest of the people. We do not wish to suffer more conflict. Your point is valid dear friend. Yet is there any truer form of democracy than revolution? Go through any village and ask the hunter, the farmer and the hard working housewife what they want. Their response will be "Fair Rule." This is what we shall give them. Fair rule. and when the day comes that our people no longer wish to have our government, all they must do is speak. As they have recently. Have you not seen the parties and rejoicing in the streets? Things are only getting better. Soon, every Afullian will have bread on the table and a bed to sleep in. Wait and see.

I thank you for your reply to my earlier message. I accept that you may very well have initiated your revolution for humane reasons, however denying your people the right for democratic representations is merely adding to their woes.

Though you may be a just and fair ruler, dictatorships have a historical decline in regard to justice and equality that becomes more severe the longer they rule.
With no incentive to maintain high standards the world has seen the dictatorships bring revolts and coups a plenty, I would be surprised yours will be any different.

It is not my intention or my Governments intention to fight you, we have no interest in that, merely we are urging you to embrace democracy so your people enjoy full human rights, not merely those you decide to offer them

The call to prayer sounded. Ahmed awoke and stood. He lowered himself to his knees and began to pray. "Oh Allah, make my rule a safe and just one. Make my people prosper and eat and be healthy. May the souls of my fallen comrades sleep with you in paradise." The music stopped. Ahmed stood and bowed his head. He looked around. The room the president had lived in was very fancy. Expensive items of every origin covered the surface of every hand carved wooden desk and nightstand. Shame. he thought. "MEN!" He yelled. Two soldiers, wearing actual uniforms from the munitions depot they had taken control of earlier bursted in. "Yes sir." Ahmed smilled. "Men, do you mind taking all of these things out and giving them to the populace? Let us show them that generosity is my first step forward." The soldiers began totake valuables from the room. They rushed out. The troops loaded up a BMP-1 with the goods and rode through town. People hoarded the APC smiling and happy as the troops passed out the valuables. "There!" One of the troops said. "Sell them, keep them, just enjoy them. This is the first of many gifts." Another BMP came around a corner with several large baskets of food. Two more followed bearing the same cargoe. "Each familiy gets one!" The soldier yelled and the people rushed over. They passed out big baskets filled with meat, bread, pure water, spices, pats, pans and large bags of white rice. "There! Eat well tonight! But wait, that is not all!" Another BMP bearing piles of new wool blankets and pillows, miquito nets and soap came around the corner. This same thing was happening in every town, city and village in the nation. Everyone would eat tonight.

Soldiers walked up the stairs to the tower of the local mosque. One of them picked up the loudspeaker and said. "Government vaccine programs begin tomorrow. Report to your local police station to get you and your family vaccinated against many diseases. All freeon behalf of our leader. Also, government soldiers and builders are building schools. This is a major undertaking but it is essential for our people."

The Afullian soldiers walked through the jungle. They all carried gieger counters. There had been reports of small radiation signals showing up deep in the jungles and the president himself had ordered them to check it out. The men trudged thrugh the mud and the muck. The suddenly the men's gieger counters began to jump and beep like a storm.The men looked around the jungle floor. they saw multiple strange looking rocks. They called in a special team to scan and investigate.

The men and their special investigation team discovered what was a massive deposit of uranium The amount of uranium here surpassed any other location in the world. They commander immeadiately made a phone call to the president. The head of state was happy. Very happy. He immeadiately send out an international message to the world.

We would like to offer a small peacekeeping force to help distribute the large amounts of food and and aid which will be delivered if you accept. Amongst this will be teachers, doctors and trainers for your military and police forces. We will do all this and we ask is that you give Whiskeasy Mining Incorporated exclusive mining rights to your Uranium. We also ask that you consider democracy or at the very least get some sort of parliament or elected officials for each district. We will equip your armed forces and help with the reconstruction of your noble nation.

( While you may have certain rights such as the ignore button, this is generally done ICly which is fine what you are doing is bordering on flaming. GWO can make general statements about how communism is "FAIL." Several countries can have interest in a small african country. If you consider in real life how the U.S. has been involved in several small countries such as korea, vietnam, and kuwait. The country known as blackhelm also attacks smaller countries.

GWO focuses on destroying the liberal and communist governments of the world and has a right too. While you have the right to ignore. You can fully use that right to ignore by not making any post in response to GWOs. While you would be seen as being lesser of an rper in the eyes of GWO and his alliance it would be considered understandable.

Dear Sir,

We shall be sending a regiment of Royal Whiskeasian Armoured Rifleman. They will secure a Blue Zone and then start bringing in the food and other goods such as medial supplies. The teachers will arrive once Colonel Harris thinks that the situation is stable enough. Surveyors from Whiskeasy Mining Incorporated will be arriving with the teachers. Which army units would you like to have trained first and we would be happy to give some surplus weaponry. Mainly M16 assault rifles and Warrior armored fighting vehicles. We applaud your efforts at diplomacy but encourage you to hold some form of election even though I am sure that you will be voted in it is more of a public statement of your support of democracy.

Colonel Harris was sitting in the third C130 cargo plane. He spoke into his headset addressing the whole battalion.
"Congratulations, you shall be the first troops on the ground. You will secure the Blue Zone and be ambassadors for the whole of Whiskeasy we shall protect this country from domestic and international threats. Good Luck men."
He tapped the pilots shoulder as they started their descent. The other two battalions would follow shortly and he prepared himself for the greeting he was about to recieve. He hoped it was friendly.

The Afullian troops stood on the runway holding their Serbian M21s tightly. "Alright men. Remember, be professional. Most westerners look at Africa as a shithole. Lets make our nation better than that." The man straightened up and shouldered their M21s. They wore Olive drab BDUs with some old KAZAK-4 vests and PASGT helmets. They weren't terribly equipped but it wasn't world class either. The C-130 stung the runway squeking to a stop. The commander stepped forward. He spoke perfect [whatever your nation speaks] while the rest of the nation spoke Afullian, a variation of Arabic.

Buddoka Military Airport
Harris strode of the plane into the glaring sun and heat that was Africa. The heat rolling of the tarmac he saw a squad of his men doing a cautious dismount. Walking out with their new K29 rifles at the ready. Harris walked out towards a group of what looked like AK wielding military. It was a group of regular army, equipped with the Serbian knock-off AK's. They had some dodgy armour on and some old helmets but at least they had them. They looked like they had some basic training, they stood up straight and all had their weapons shouldered. Harris was greeted in perfect english by the commander and he replied with "Salam alaikum I am Colonel Harris. Commanding Officer 8th Royal Whiskeasian Armored Riflemen Regiment. We are hoping to set up a Blue Zone or defensive complex nearby. We will use it as a forward base for any peacekeeping operations and aid distributing. Another question I must ask is what is the current military situation. Is there still opposition in the country? The first shipment of food, and our Warriors will be arriving soon. Then we will set up the Blue Zone and start distributing. Apart from that do you have any problems with this plan or shall we continue?" He was starting to heat up under his BDU and body armour. He shifted the strap of his K29 Carbine and waited for the Arab commander to answer.

"Well sir. The nation is relatively peaceful and is rejoicing our victory. Though crime is high and the tribes are battling as usual, things are rather good. The perfect place for you to set up this "blue zone," would be The local mosque." The commander fingered his pistol and continued. "The Imams there are very friendly and would treat you as guests. Not only that, but the entire city is built around it." The commander muttered words in Afullian to his men and they rushed to their BTR-80 and loaded up. "Mount up. if you brought vehicles, feel free. But we have arranged transport for you." The commander pointed to a column of BTRs and put on his sunglasses. "Well?"

OOC: By the way, Afullia is located in RL Somalia area so the people aren't arab. They are African. They are just Muslim and speak Arabic, like real Somalia/horn of Africa.

OOC: Thanks.

The Colonel shook his head and said "No, I am afraid we can not use such a religious structure as a base. For a start we would have half the population coming in and out for prayers all the time. Hardly secure. Do you have an old civic building? Ministry of Propaganda or something? We will accept the ride, the Warriors aren't due until tonight. So I shall leave a company of men here and precede with you into town. The other battalions will be arriving shortly." He looked over his shoulder and saw that the men had unloaded and were standing in ranks in full gear. He made a mental note to let them stand down as soon as he was done. Last thing he needed was a dead battalion.

The Commander was slightly insulted. He was a devout Muslim but he understood their logic. "Understandable." He straightened his red beret. "Well, there is a large midieval castle on the outer area of the town that is in excellent condition. I'm afraid most old governmental buildings were destroyed or severly damaged." He thought again for a moment. "The castle is in great condition. It is large, fortified and hard to "surprise" someone in. It gives an overlook of the city. Also, you could set up at the local police station. That is deep in the town. It is damaged however." The Commander was rather embarassed that he had nothing other than an old Islamic castle to offer. Really spoke to the condition of the nation.

OOC: I have stated before that if he were to attack your nation, I'd simply destroy his nation, so just let him try.

However, you do need to calm down. If you were to be attacked, it wouldn't really matter, because you could just ignore him, or else larger nations like mine would help you crush him.

Although we do not approve of Communist uprisings and generally try to put them down, there was not enough time to stop your uprising, and besides, it seems you are actually helping your people instead of hurting them.

All we ask is that you allow or continue to allow basic freedoms (speech, religion, press, fair trial, due process) We do not consider you a threat at all, we are willing to be friendly if your human rights practices are acceptable.

One other thing I ask is that I know your nation's full title (Republic, Empire, etc.) so that I can address you properly.

If you have any troubles regarding terrorism, hostile nations, or such, we will assist you so long as you are the side that is in the right.

Thank you for your reply. We are glad to see that while your economic philosophy differs from ours, your political system is based on political freedom. We will defend your sovereignty to the death.

The Colonel nodded and said "The Castle is perfect, we will also station a couple of companies in the center of town, in your police station. We will need interpreters guides and liaison police and military forces. We must do this together so it does not look like an invasion. The other two battalions shall be deployed to outlying areas. If you would like to lead on. One company shall remain here to pass on my orders and protect the cargo aircraft."

"Alright. Good. Many of my soldiers are desended from the colonials. They speak english. Thay can be interpreters." He pounded on the back of the BTR. The door opened. "We have jungle trackers who can act as guides, our police can work with you and we will intergrate our troops into your squads. They don't look like much, but my men know what it is to be under fire. Thats something no training can prepare you for. My men are hard veterans." He reached into his vest pocket and pulled out a pack of smokes. He offered one to the Colonel while he lit his own.
