SWAT Team Moves in on Side of Main Airport Terminal
http://www.co.shawnee.ks.us/SHR/image/content/swatteam.jpg
Earlier toady, at 9:45 A.M, a Boeing 747 was seized by terrorists armed with firearms and explosives. They proceeded to touch down in New Laborc and made contact with the local authorities. Hours later that area of the city now lies in lock-down while the airport has been completely evacuated. Whether foreigners are on board or not is, as yet unknown and the terrorists’ demands have not been made publicly known by the police and military presence in the area. The police assure us however, that this situation is likely to be resolved quickly and efficiently given superior technology and tactics of the police and military presence in the area as compared to that of the terrorists on-board.
------------------------
It had been a plane: not the most original target for a high-jacking but it was still a bad situation for any government’s law enforcement. The flight assistants and men in the cabin hadn’t seen it coming when the high-jackers drew handguns and proceeded to have the workers and passengers tied to their chairs. Then the plane touched down on the nearest runway, specifically in the city of New Laborc. Then the local law enforcement was contacted with demands and in moments the runway was surrounded with cruisers and SWAT vans. Military response soon came in the form of several CV-90s and their mechanized infantry support that rode within. A field telephone had recently been set up and there had been a few conversations, mainly threats and the occasional repeat of the demands: which were quite simple in this case.
Asylum in a country that had a full-fledged monarchy.
$800,000 in unmarked bills.
Harassment-free passage to the aforementioned country.
Normally this would have been like any other hostage situation but one call changed it.
“Don’t say a word, officers: just listen. We currently have sixty-five hostages and crew on board this aircraft. Each one has a proximity collar around his or her neck, basically like a dog’s collar with the same principal: dog steps out of the yard it gets shocked. Here it’s worse though, because each passenger has twenty pounds of C4 strapped to their chests along with fifteen pounds of steel ball-bearings, essentially turning them in to the largest walking claymore mines in the world. If you try and take them too far away from the plan then they blow. Just give us what we went, we take off the collars, and everybody’s happy.” The presumed leader had said.

Any and all aid, whether it be in the form of personel or supplies, is greatly appriciated. We do not know what the name of this terror group's backers is but given the fact they had been able to get such vast amounts of C4 and ball-bearings on board without being caught, we assume their being rouge is unlikely. We are also not aware of any names or numbers of the terrorists. Besides that they have proximity collars on each passenger and the crew members in order to detonate approximately twenty pounds of C4 along with fiteen pounds of ball-bearings on each passenger.

While you may call is imperialistic, we doubt that is truly King Andrew III speaking General Monks. If you care for the lives of civilians, some of whom may very-well be foreign nationals, then you would get involved in some way to aid us instead of claiming it to be poetic justice. Do you not care at the possibility that some passengers may be foreign nationals from Nordfire or are you truly that heartless general?

Your aid is appriciated and a landing zone at the airport has been cleared for you landing whether it be by helicopter or jet, as it is a seperate runway. If we have any requests they will most likely be made on-scene, thank you.
Ursavian SWAT officers and military soldiers, all cald in similar black clothing with only the different symbols on them showing the difference, waited on either side of the secondary runway for Chazaka and the other nations sending troops and supplies to touch down any time soon.
"Ok men, we have very little information about the situation, but what is known is in the packets"
"This is new sir using radar collars, do you know if the police force in Ursava has tried to either jam the signal or strengthen it so they can safely remove the hostages/collars?"
"We know very little what the Ursava have done, hopefully we'll learn more on touchdown such as what group these "terrorists" belong to."
"Could it be the CGE?"
"Perhaps..."
The Jet safely touched down in the Ursava airport and the team walked towards the Ursava headquarter tent.
"Hello I'm Colonel Gopher and we're here to help..."
"Good evening Colonel, my name's Captain Endre Makkai: it's a pleasure to meet you." An incredibly short (around 5' 7"), barrel-chested man said, holding out a hand for a shake.
Meanwhile SWAT operatives and military soldiers, all still clad in similarl black clothing, moved to-and-fro. Meanwhile, over a nearby radio chatter such as 'Observation Team 2 in position' and other things could be heard through the quick chatter. Men moved left and right while the vehicles made barricades in case the terrorists wanted to shoot at them for some reason.
"So Colonel, you've been briefed if I was told correctly: what's your take on the situation?" Colonel Makkai asked.

OOC: Okay.
Laborc Gyenes looked back at all the passengers tied to their seats. The ones in this section were first-class business men and women who were so full of themselves it wasn't even funny. All of them were shaking, whether it be physically or just mentally, becuase of the collars on their necks. If they left the plane they'd become living, or at least formerlly living, claymore mines given the ball-bearings and C4 charges strapped to them. Laborc looked further down the plane where the seperating blinds were open to show his men and the other hostages. Back near the kitchen the staff was also tied up with explosives on them and the pilot was most likely forzen to his seat with all the fear at the possibility of people on his flight dying.
Laborc looked at his men and then watched the door while holding his HK .45 loosely at his side, the safety off just in case. Then it happened, an unintentional example. One of the hostages managed to undo his bindings, somehow having reached behind him. With a cry of 'I can't take it anymore!' the man rushed for the door, without Laborc stopping him.
Colonel Makkai wasn't able to answer Colonel Gopher at first as a call of alarm went off. The man was nearly off the runway: still a great distance from the blockade, when he detonated. Ball-bearings flew through the air and pinged off the side of the jet and fell short of the barricade with Colonel Makkai just staring in shock at the bloody smear that had once been a hostage, the explosion still ringing in his ears moments later.
"No...you can set up your gear Colonel." Major Makkai replied, still looking at the stain on the runway.

Josef Brevic peeped outside one of the small windows of the passenger jet. Out in the distance, his eyes squinted and saw the caravan of security, police, and military vehicles, blocking the plane. They had set up a perimeter around the plane, effectively cordoning off any avenues of escape. He nervously gulped as his eyes swept across from the runway towards the tower and airport complexes. He hadn't slept in over 24hrs but was running off pure adrenaline which forced itself through his veins.
His plams were sweaty as he grasped the hadle to hus uzi which hung from his shoulder. The passengers remained quiet, they were bound and strapped down with enough explosives to send the entire airport into the next life. Despite his fears, he couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. This is something he'd trained and dreamed about for months. His handler, a man known simply as Resnik helped him to understand that the world needed dramatic examples to shake it.
"A few pounds of explosives and some bullets can catch someone's attention better than a law" Rensik said one time, "This is the truth, and it will always be the truth"
He turned and prowled down the long aisle wa, eyes sweeping from one firghtened passenger to another. They had no idea what was going to happen. He felt little sympathy for them. They were a needed sacrifice, as was himself. The native Kulikovian had dreamed of making his impact in the world and now, the world was watching. Soon, they'd know him and what he stood for and they always will remember. The group leader delivered his message to the awaiting police. They had rules and limitations. He and his counterparts operated without rules, freeing them from the red tape and anchors of society. This is how things get done, not through bickering in a government building. No, this was the quickest problem solver, in his mind.
All Brevic could do now was wait for their leader to do his part. The authorities would not dare move on the plane. They were planning it before, this he knew. But now that the stakes rose, the authorities and commandoes were most likely to back off and adhere to their demands. Then, the commotion at the front of the plane caught his attention, there was shouting and more shouting. He cocked his uzi and pointed it at all the passengers who began to wiggle and test their cuffs.
"Don't move! Don't move!" He repeated, eyes firey with determination and absolution.
The explosion outside on the tarmac shook the plane. The glow emminated off Brevic's face as his head craned to see the remainder of the explosion dissipate and the remnants of one of the hostages fall from the sky.

Along with the representatives, we shall send, upon receiving your permission, three six man Striker cells, and three combat medics to aid your local enforcers. The team shall come with their own equipment, as follows:
12 suppressible MP5 sub machine guns, 18 USP combat pistols, 2 SPAS-12 Combat shotguns, one M-249 SAW Machine gun, two M-24 SWS scoped rifles, and one Barret .50 Caliber rifle. In addition, each man shall carry a combat knife, Taser, set of handcuffs, self-use medikit, body armor, Nightvision goggles, rations, and extra ammo. Laborc watched as the remainder of the hostage fell to the ground in tiny pieces on to the stain that had once been a person. Ball-bearings could be seen glittering here-and-there on the runway and in the grass while the police stayed firmly planted behind their barricade of cruisers, vans, and the occasional APC. Laborc sighed at the man's stupidity and moved back through the rows, firm in his believe that the unintentional 'demonstration' had been enough to throw off any want to escape in that section. Laborc came back to where Josef stood with blood-shot eyes and a gun.
"Josef, are the hostages here secure?" Laborc asked, motioning to the men and women on either side of him.
Kulikovia
23-12-2008, 00:57
Brevic looked up at Laborc, "They're all secured here, none of them feel like stretching their legs now" he replied. His little quip at humor was more to put himself at ease. The passengers muffled their screams through the ducttape after the explosion. They were shocked and horrified. Now, the world's medias got a good look at exactly how serious they were.
"I don't think the Ursavians will be sending anybody out either" Brevic added. Law enforcement agencies look to mitigate casualties as much as possible and will do anything to keep innocent losses from occuring. Though, this demonstration could have a drawback as well. Once violence has occurid in these types of situations, it's unlikely that they will deescalate and will remain on a heightened sense of alarm.
"You say it like I pushed him out of the plane Josef." Laborc said, sarcasm in his voice.
"They also know we can't afford to kill everybody on here because then: we'll having nothing between us and them so they'll raid the jet." Laborc said.
Laborc then looked through the nearest window and took notice of the foreign-flagged marked aircraft on the secondary runway and furrowed his brow at the revelation.
"So they actually brought foreign aid?" Laborc asked, almost to himself.

A C-130 Hercules transport sat ready to go in the city of Carthago Nova. Onboard were the Strikers, Medics, Supplies, and the commanding officer, Major Mahmoud Shiraf. He would be meeting with the Ursavan command upon landing, and would be in charge of deployment of his men. If his country were to get involved at all, he would call the shots.
In a separate V-22 Osprey sat Foreign Affairs Minister Anibal himself, and six other men with direct ties to Cabinet members. Each of them would be spectating, watching their men carry out a mission, while behind designer sunglasses and expensive suits.
The aircraft prepared for takeoff, and the short, four hour flight to Ursava. The strikers had been briefed of their mission, and were ready to complete it.

We thank for your donation of both the money and the snipers. Both forms of aid are accepted and in response to your question, we are not aware. They undoubtedly had a backer of some kind who was able to help them get it on board the aircraft or got it on themselves. Who that backer is, what their name is, or what they have to gain from this is unknown to use but we can hopefully capture at least one of the terrorists alive and be able to find out before a second situation like this occurs.

Shariff Abdul Anwar sat flirting with one of the Stews aboard the plane when he heard the commotion at the exit. He turned and saw one of the hostages flee the aircraft. Thinking out of instinct, he jumped from his seat and withdrew his Glock G-20, only to see the leader let the man go. He stood for a moment, then felt the explosion. In his mind, he imagined the man exploding into bits and pieces, his shrapnel coated body sending ball bearings everywhere. Anwar then returned his attention to the attractive stew, who he had learned was single, and very young.
"Hey, Josef! See if you can get those bastards to send us in some supplies. Maybe some Champagne, a box of rolling papers, some food?" He reached into his pocket to pull out a quarter pound of the finest G-13 money can buy.
"And step on it. I want to smoke this shit." he then looked back at the stew, whose name, he learned, was Kim. "May as well have some fun." He paused and looked at the explosive strapped passengers. "well...some MORE fun. Then, maybe you'd like to take care of me?" He smiled at her as she looked at him, partly in horror, partly in excitement, and partly in pure lust. He was an attractive man who had money and power back in Azurbajan. He was a typical rich boy. He had the looks and the cash, but that was never enough for him. His true passion lay deep in his soul. That passion was that of an adrenaline junkie. He had little or no regard for human life, and he made that evident when he decided to join forces with a gang of terrorists.

Once news reached the Salzland Defense Intelligence Agency that an airliner on the ground in Ursava had been taken over by several armed terrorists, an alert had gone out to key personnel working the Ursavian Regional Desk. Those individuals began shambling back to their posts a half-hour or so after the alert was received, many still half-asleep. The time difference between Salzland and Ursava meant that these personnel were arriving well after midnight local time, after clocking in a full day of work already.
Coffee and other high-carb and high-sugar foods and drinks were already prepared, to help the incoming staff get up to speed as fast as possible. When an informal statement from the President, William Phillips, came down an hour into the ongoing crisis informing the SDIA that identifying the nation, nations or individuals behind this attack was now a national priority the level of SDIA activity jumped into high gear. Passenger manifests were scanned into both Salzland and international criminal databases, then cross-checked with known relatives and associates.
So far nothing substantial turned up in the search, though many in the SDIA felt that it would only be a matter of time until something was uncovered. Once that information turned up it the SDIA would immediately send it to their Ursavian counterparts. Partly to cross-check the information and verify its accuracy, and partly to co-ordinate retalitory actions.
The Armed Republic of Salzland went out of its way to look after its friends. The full political, economic and military might of Salzland would be made available to the Ursavians when they inevitably took action against the sponsors of the dastardly terrorist attack in their nation.

OOC: Background info on Shariff Abdul Anwar
He is age 24, and is the son of the Sheik Abdul Anwar. His family owns and distributes oil to companies, and they own many oil wells. The family are considered a top government priority to Azurbajan, and will be protected at all costs.
Laborc listened to his men and shook his head at Josef.
"No, I can simply order-out." Laborc said, grabbing the field-phone that connected him; through a long line, to the blockade.
A few minutes later, Colonel Endre Makkai watched as a young officer clad in nothing but her uniform with no weapons visible on her, slowly walked towards the plane with a sealed box with wine, rolling paper (a replace out-of-place among terrorists usually in their food demands) and sandwiches of various kinds. The young woman set the box on the inside of the door, careful not to step inside under the carefully observing eye of Laborc. Then the young officer returned to the lines and Colonel Makkai turned to Colonel Gopher with his answers to his questions.
"Yes, that was one of the first things we did once we were in position."
"No: simply the cash, assylum, and safe passage."
"We estimate at least seven."
Colonel Makkai turned over a list of passengers and crew, and a recording of the phone calls which were only the ones saying they had taken the plane, what their demands were, and the call giving the situation with the charges. As Colonel Makkai looked at the runway and the area where the fueling crew had once been he was hit with an idea.
"I have an idea." Colonel Makkai said, almost to himself before looking to Colonel Gopher "I have the start of an idea Colonel." Colonel Makkai said as he walked to a small lay out of the plane where the estimated position of the passengers (as placed by the 'observation teams' which were basically snipers) and the general area where most of the terrorists often were. Besides that was a radio, a pen, paper, and the field phone which hooked up to the terrorists on-board the plane.

The two aircraft touched down, the Hercules on the runway and the Osprey directly next to the base of operations. Out of the Osprey came the Minister and his entourage. They walked directly toward the command center, clad in $50,000 black hand-tailored Persian silk suits and expensive designer sunglasses. They each wore the same black tie, except for the minister, whose tie was an eye-catching red, the same shade as the Flag of Azurbajan. In the middle was the Imperial Star symbol. (http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/4989/flagbvd7.png)
He removed his sunglasses and looked directly into the eyes of a fresh new recruit who was tidying the area where he had spilled some coffee beans. Without blinking, he stared daggers into the soldier's eyes as he said: "Get me your commanding officer immediately." The startled soldier jumped as Minister Anibal spoke. He glanced around the tent frantically and went off on his quest.
"Pathetic excuse for a soldier" thought Anibal. His associates stood around him, displaying no emotion on their faces. Their presence made the minister look even more menacing. If anything should happen to Sheik Anwar's son, there would most likely be a situation worth making the headlines of the world for days to come.

Anwar smirked as his demands were met. He personally accepted the case as it was delivered, and went straight for his rolling papers. He looked around the cabin. "Anyone here know how to break up? The bud, i mean." He held up the bag in his hand and a young teen raised his hand, then immediately, as if realizing what an idiot he was, darted it back down. Anwar smiled and looked in his direction. He approached the teen slowly, watching his parents as they broke into pure terror. His mother, in the seat next to him, shrieked when Anwar arrived. He extended his hand to the young man.
"Let's get rolling, then." he said as the young man got up.
His mother gave him a disgusted look. Anwar smiled and started to walk away, then, immediately withdrew his glock and put a bullet into the woman's arm.
"Yeah, fuck you too, bitch." The teen immediately went for the gun, but missed and was met with a pistol whip to the back of the head. Anwar smiled, triumphantly.
"Less for you guys. Anyone else here want to smoke?" No one dared to look at him. He immediately headed back to his stew and used one of the chair tables to start rolling joints. "Hey, Josef, want to trip balls?" said Anwar as he reached into his pocket, pulling out some acid. "Eat this up. It'll be fun!" said Anwar as he tossed it at him. He went back to rolling his jays while admiring the beauty of his 19 year old personal stew, who was quickly falling for her handsome captor.
"We're going to have some fun, babe." said Anwar as he placed a hand on her breast and kissed her. The terrorists were still in full control, and now it looked as if Anwar, at least, would get no more than a slap on the wrist. He looked out the window on his side toward the command center. He could pick out the minister's tie immediately. Upon realizing who was here, he smiled and laughed maniacally.
"Josef, Laborc! we're gonna get outta this one, and very much alive." he shouted. in curiosity, the puzzled hostages looked out their windows toward the tent and noticed the men in their suits. some caught on, and sighed, knowing that the men who threatened to kill them would get off free, and the others just looked back at the seat backs in front of them, puzzled.

The soldiers piled out of the Hercules, some on foot, and the rest in a Humvee that drove out of the back of the plane. In it was all the gear necessary for a mobile command center. Before an order was even barked, or a commander even met, the soldiers began to set up in the command center, under direct command of The Major. Tents were popped up as the Ursavans looked on in astonishment of the soldiers' efficiency and discipline.
"Shows what a country with a proper military budget can accomplish." said Minister Anibal aloud. He watched as the pride of his nation assembled an entire center of command in less than five minutes. The men then geared up and awaited orders from their commander. Major Mahmoud Shiraf approached the Ursavan command center. He stood beside Minister Anibal, who saluted him. The Major saluted back, and stood at attention beside the Minister as they awaited the Ursavan commander.

A Stoklomolvi Tupolev Tu-334, on a scheduled flight from the nearby Stoklomolvi colony of Gwadar, carried on board thirty snipers who had recently arrived in the colony by naval convoy. As it neared the airfield in which the hostage situation was taking place, the aircraft requested permission from the nearby tower to land. The snipers aboard the craft readied their gear, and the political commissar put down his dirty, 1980 newspaper and prepared to disembark.
Their presence made the minister look even more menacing. the Ursavian officer had ran off to fetch Colonel Makkai but the soldiers weren't staring in awe, they were simply watching the foreigners as they attempted to show-boat to people they barely knew. Colonel Makkai, upon being told somebody wanted to see him, completely ignored the men in suits and headed for the soldiers. He went for the man with the highest ranking, two ranks below his, and approached the man.
"Hello Major, you're obviously in charge of this outfit: welcome to Ursava. I assume you've been briefed on the situation." Colonel Makkai said.
Laborc was in the aircraft watching as Anwar began walking around toting his drugs but the moment he had come by Laborc, he would recieve a pistol-whip across the face by an angry Laborc.
"You incompetent fool, you're truly a moron aren't you!?" Laborc exploded, not caring about the stewardess.
OOC: Chazaka, if you want the full plan TG me
OOC: I meant the plan Colonel Makkai came up with. Though that would be good in case anybody's country comes under terrorist attack the team can move in.

The Major looked at the Colonel. He seemed to be an honorable man. His men looked, for the most part, professional.
He responded: "I have. First off, my Honorable minister has some important information to review with you. I will begin deploying my men in strategic positions to minimize damage control." With that, the Major started to walk off, barking orders at his men, who began splitting into three four man assault squads, and 3 two man sniper groups.
As the commotion went on, Minister Anibal turned his attention to the Colonel. He held a briefcase up as he said "Colonel, we are most interested in a particular subject on that flight. His name is Shariff Abdul Anwar, son of Sheik Abdul Anwar. The Sheik is a powerful man, who controls a massive supply of our country's oil. Protecting him is a top government priority." He looked at the Colonel and continued, "We are not interested in keeping the other two alive. Anwar will surrender as soon as his friends are dead. As you are in command here, I ask your permission, of course, to finish the job." He nodded his head at the Colonel and continued, "and, my nation requires custody of Anwar upon completion of the objective." He looked around at the plane as he awaited the Colonel's response.
---------------------
Anwar was hit hard by something, he did not see what, until he looked up and saw Laborc.
"You dumb ass! What was that for? Was it for getting you food or rescuing you?!" he shouted. "Take a look out there. Those men are from my government."
"It's for getting drugged and thinking about nothing but sex! Do you think they take any of the rest of us as a priority you stuck up brat?! They don't!" Laborc exploded, then for good measure: hitting the stewardess with the but of his pistol as she seemed to be staring too much for his liking.
Colonel Makkai watched as the Major walked out but called out to him.
"You do everything under my orders or things will end bad Major!" Colonel Makkai called.
He then turned to the man in the suit who presented his case, in both ways, and then Colonel Makkai started walking to the field telephone and the table of supplies. He waved for the man to talk to him and as he did, he spoke.
"Listen carefully, either all those men walk off and get tried in an Ursavian court or they all get carried off in body-bags. If you think you can talk them down..." Colenel Makkai pointed to the telephone, still showing no formality for the suits "...the phone is right there." Colonel Makkai finished as he went over the details of his plan in his mind once again and watched the plane in the distance.

OOC: To be fair, I'm sure when Ursava looked up your nation he only saw the alternate account (that you're posting under) with a 6 Million population, and not your actual state with a 3 Billion + population. Perhaps for future reference, including a link in your signature to your actual nation with the larger population would reduce possible confusion.

The Minister responded " Mr. Makkai. I do not think you see what it is that I am saying. The other two, whether they live or die, is of absolutely no concern to me. If you desire they live, that would be fine with me. On behalf of Sultan Hannival IV, I am here to present you with this, a formal letter hand written by the Sultan himself. He handed the Colonel the letter.
To whom I am addressing,
The Trade Republic of Azurbajan desires custody of the Terrorist, Shariff Abdul Anwar, son of Sheik Abdul Anwar. The best method I can find for solving this problem would be to move the plane into Azurbajan, so we can provide them with the illusion of safety. We will not give them any asylum, and I promise personally that the offenders will be kept alive and shipped back to Ursava for trial. Please think this offer over, as it is in both of our greatest interests.
Signed,
-Sultan Hannibal IV, The Trade Republic of Azurbajan.

Major Mahmoud Shiraf nodded and continued breaking up his squads. As they got into formation, he turned back around to the Colonel.
"I request permission to deploy my men." said the Major.

Colonel Makkai looked at the letter for only a second while the Major asked the question.
"Go ahead!" Colonel Makkai called back.
He crumpled up the letter and tossed it off in a random direction.
"They don't leave country unless it is the last option. They commited terrorism here so they're staying here for now..." Colonel Makkai turned and glared at the man "...and I personally don't know why we allowed you to come here."
"No, you'll get out fine because they don't care about us; and I'll hit the stewardess all I want." Laborc said "I'm in charge of this situation: NOT YOU!" Laborc exploded before walking down the aisle and looking at all the passengers once again.

The Strikers took up positions. The snipers made their ways to the roofs while Assault squads took up positions at the front of the blockade. The SAW was set up on the Azurbajani Humvee, which drove up to a position facing the right wing exit of the plane.
The Major stayed in the command center, along with the medics. A few technicians manned the computers. Major Shariff summoned the Colonel.
"Sir, we are in position. We think that it would be wise that we set up a pickup team, in the event another hostage attempts to escape. For now, we are working on jamming the signal controlling the collars on the hostages' necks." He went back to looking at his screen.
The Minister walked over to the Colonel.
"I would like to speak with the terrorists." he said. "I believe I can convince them that surrender is in their best interest."
------------------------------------
Anwar looked at Laborc as he walked off. "What a buzzkill." he muttered. He turned to the stew, who was looking up at him, trembling.
"I didn't hit you, he's a psychopath." Anwar, for a moment, reminded himself that, unlike him, they were here to do a job, not just for thrills.
"Laborc, what will you have me do?"
"They'll probably have one of your people call us. I'll talk to them but I'll ned background info if they start trying to pull something that your people do, if your people do anything different as hostage negotiators." Laborc said, heading for the field phone.
"I've got an observartion team watching the cockpit in case they try and do anything with the pilots and we've got men watching the windows too Major. Also, keep me up-to-date on trying to find the signal, Chazaka has been trying to do the same thing for a while now but we think it's a local source, meaning somebody would need to somehow get the jamm..." Colonel Makkai paused for a moment "...if you somehow program a jammer, give it to me and I'll have it on the next item delivery to the plane." Colonel Makkai ordered the Major.
Colonel Makkai then turned to the 'negotiator'.
"They won't leave this country, but if you can get them to take off the collars and surrender, you'll be my new best friend." Colonel Makkai said "The phone's over there." Colonel Makkai said, pointing.

Anibal looked at Laborc. "I can't predict what they'll say or do. Whatever cards they have in their hand, they will play.
Minister Anibal thanked the Colonel and walked to the phone. He picked it up and awaited the answer on the other side as it rang.
The Major went back to work on isolating the signals coming from the plane. After doing that, he was able to sort through the signals and find the one controlling the collars. His technicians handled the programming of the jammer to that signal.
"All done, Colonel." said The Major.
"Good job Major, if you were in the Ursavian military I would have promoted you by now." Colonel Makkai said complimentavily "Now we have to wait till night-fall unless your suit-man can talk them down."
Meanwhile Laborc heard the field telephone ringing and slowly moved across the phone where he waited. Laborc let it go the four rings just to make the negotiator have to wait on him before picking up the phone and looking out the door.
"What do you want?" Laborc asked, looking to the blockade, behind which sat the main terminal and the sun which was soon to set.

Brevic patrolled down the aisle, dutifully watching each and every passenger. SOme wimpered, some looked away, the occasional passenger managed direct eye contact with him. Those who did, their eyes expressed a pantheon of expressions. Most of those were sympathy and fright. One or two had determined scowls plastered on their faces. This didn't concern him. He wasn't straped down with C4 and he carried the gun, they were in the worst position out of anyone in this whole mess. Their lives emant little to the terrorist, his goals overshadowed their lives. After a time he began to close the shades to many of the windows, leaving certain and irreugular ones open for obeservation.
"A plane is a shooting gallery, too many windows" Resnik instructed a group one time, "If a sniper can get a piece of you in his scope, he will take the shot"
This tidbit he kept on hand and applied it to this scenario. By now, Ursavan police and security forces probably had snipers positioned at every possible angle and ontop every nearby roof. Luckily, sneaking up to the plane was nearly impossible.

The Minister heard Laborc answer the phone and immediately responded. "I could ask you the same question, sir. I assume you are the leader? My name is Anibal. I am a representative of the Trade Republic of Azurbajan, and I am here to help you. You could start by filling me in on the reason why you hijacked a plane full of innocents." The Minister imagined the look on Leborc's face and imagined what he would do, were he in his shoes.
Mahmoud had finalized the configurations on the jammer. It was ready to go. The three sniper teams radioed in and reported they had fixed infra red satellite links on each terrorist, and could be called upon to take their shots at any time.
"Colonel, we have to think about this for a second. If you were on a plane surrounded by armed men on all sides, and you knew the hostages were all that stopped them from killing the shit out of you, what would you do if you suddenly realized your hostages were no longer walking bombs? You'd run around like a madman capping everyone, that's what. If we are to act, we have to neutralize them." The Major paused to look at the plane. He began again "Look. We've already established that they need to be kept alive. The only way I can see to do that would be through a direct raid, which could be costly for civilians. I highly doubt they'll give in to negotiations." The Major sat back in his chair and looked at the Colonel.
------------------------------
Anwar looked as Laborc answered the phone. He could hear, on the other end, the voice of an Azurbajani. He smiled. Today was his day after all, he thought. He turned to Josef and whispered,
"Josef, my friend, come with me to the back of the plane. I've got a plan." he motioned for Josef to follow as he started walking to the back.
"What I want has already been stated." Laborc said, unaware than an Ursavian 'observation team' was currently zooming in on his head as he stood near the phone, right in front of the opened doorway "So, where's my money. What do I need to do, to get my money?' Laborc asked, glancing at Anwar and Josef, giving an untrusting look to Anwar.
Colonel Makkai watched the plane in the distance, having already heard over the chatter of his radio that one of his sniper teams had a perfect shot for the presumed leader. Colonel Makkai looked to the Major as he spoke.
"If we do it right they won't know the collars are deactivated, then we'll raid them and whether they all live through it or not. Any of them that do are getting tried in this country however.
"Your country your rules Captain(Colonel) just tell us what you need and we'll do what we can." replied Gopher as he watched the last of the sun's rays disappear beneath the horizon.
Gopher signaled his team over as he awaited the Captains(colonels) reply.

The Minister listened to Laborc on the phone. He replied "We'll get you your money, don't you worry. All you need to do is sit tight, maybe let a few hostages go? Perhaps if there are any wounded who need medical attention?" Anibal summoned The Major over and quietly told him that they requested the money be brought on. This would provide the perfect chance to get the jammer on board.
Suddenly, the Azurbajani command tent was a buzz of activity. An Azurbajani C-32 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_C-32) had called in, requesting to land. The Major ran to the command center, asking Colonel Makkai if he knew what was going on.
"I wasn't informed of any other additional flights." he said to the Colonel. He turned to his techies. "What the hell is going on? Ask them who sent them!" he barked. The techie replied,
"We did. It's the Sheik, sir."
The Major turned and looked at the aircraft in the sky as it got lower and lower. He turned back to the Colonel.
"Just what we need. More bullshit." he said as the aircraft neared the runway.
"You want a hostage let go?" Laborc looked at the nearest one, a young girl "Fine."
Laborc untied the girl and she immidiatelly began screaming in fear. Moments later she was pushed out of the door and became a second smear on the runway. Laborc was furious that they'd think he'd give up a hostage in exchange for only one demans. Laborc went back to the phone.
"I let her go." Laborc said, slight anger in his voice.
Colonel Makkai watched as the girl had been pushed out, only to blow up on the tarmac still too far out of range to be a threat. Then Colonel Makkai watched as the sultan's aircraft came in. Since he didn't have permission to touch down he would be greeted with a welcome that involved for more VB-90s then that of the other parties involved. As he touched down his entire aircraft was surrounded by both men and vehicles.
"Somebody get me a fuel truck." Colonel Makkai said simply.

The Sheik's aircraft touched down and was immediately surrounded. Another radio communication came in from the plane at the Command Center.
"The honorable Sheik Abdul Anwar has requested he be allowed to see his son."
The Major looked at Colonel Makkai and then his tech crew.
"Send that bastard on his way, we have a situation to control." he said. Another hostage down, thought The Major.
Anibal watched as the girl exploded all over the tarmac, sending shrapnel and bits of flesh everywhere. "That's just fine. No money." He clicked the reciever down hard.
"If any of them open doors, kill them immediately." he barked at The Major.
"This isn't my jurisdiction, Minister. It's up to this guy." he said, looking at the Colonel. "Although, I don't see why we don't just take them out right now... It's your call, Colonel."
"No, we deliver the tracker and money to them, then we move in at night to; I hope, take them alive." Colonel Makkai said "Besides, I already have a sniper on the man talking's head." Colonel Makkai added.
Meanwhile, over the Sheik's radio he would hear a Russian-accented voice speaking to him.
"Sheik Abdul Anwar, you are not permitted to be here. Leave immidiatelly or face being detained." The voice said.
Laborc glared at Anibal for a moment before returning to the phone.
"I let one go, now get me my money or I may just let a few more out." Laborc ordered.

Minister Anibal returned to the phone.
"I will have your money delivered. I also would like to assure you my country is working on providing you with asylum. There may be delays, however, as it is a complicated situation." Anibal looked over at the command tent where the signal jammer was being loaded into a briefcase full of money.
-----------
The Major looked at Makkai.
"Sir, as soon as that money gets on that plane we have to move. There's no doubt in my mind that if they find the jammer there will be more deaths. I request permission to move my strikers into position." said the Major as he watched his subordinates load the briefcase.
Anwar seemed thrilled at the new commotion on the runway. Two hostages were dead. The situation was very real, and he knew the people on the ground were at their mercy.
"Laborc! Kill another, would you? They're completely at our mercy, why not show them we're serious?"
"They already know we're serious Anwar, now we wait." Laborc said, looking at the now darkened line of vehicles and personel near the main airport structure.
Meanwhile Colonel Makkai looked over at the Major.
"Move them in, I'll give sniper support but wait for the planned distraction...you'll know what it is." Makkai said.
In the cover of darkness further down the runway, a fuel truck had been obtained and had been given a nice hole in it's feul container that spilled a controlled stream of fuel over the runway that had been poured as to not reach the grass but still take up a sufficient amount of the runway. The three-man team that had acquired the truck would go on a radio-signal from Colonel Makkai and then light the fuel as to provide a distraction while a two-man team would moved under the cockpit (where they would have to be to see what was going on) and lob a flash-bang up. At that moment the Azurbajan strike-teams would be able to move in with sniper support from all the countries present which would (hopefully) result in the live capture of all those on-board and no more hostages dead.
OOC: Now I've been the one who was inactive. lol. Sorry about that.
