A Conference of Nations (OOC/Interest/Signup).

Maine Islands
20-12-2008, 11:46
To: The Nations of the World.
From: President John Clarke, Maine Islands.
Subject: A Conference of Nations.

Dear sir/ma'am,

The Republic of Maine Islands was founded several days ago after decade long discussions with our parent country, the United States of America, pulled through and the Maine Islands were granted full nation status, and welcomed into the world by many nations.

As President of the Maine Islands, I have organized an event due to take place tomorrow; A Conference of Nations.

This Conference will be held in the Conference Room of the Maine Islander Government Buildings, which is modelled off the American White House, and will have space for approximately 15 nations, each with a maximum of two representatives.

First, I feel it is my duty to provide a few photographs of the Conference Room. Please see below.

http://images.ctv.ca/archives/CTVNews/img2/20060202/160_security_council_060202.jpg http://www.getusout.net/wp-images/security_council.jpg http://www.pakistantimes.net/2005/07/09/unsc_view_file78959785789.jpg

All nations, regardless of politics, economics, history or any other differences are invited to this conference where we will discuss many things and possibly lead to the creation of an organization or even several.

I hope your nation can send a representative to this conference. I in person, along with the Secretary of State Dave Kennedy, will be representing the Maine Islands. Thank you.

Rules.

The conference will start tomorrow, to end at an undisclosed time.
Each nation may have, at maximum, two representatives. Only 15 nations can be representing in this conference, and security guards are on standby at all times.
The table at the centre is the Desk of the Speakers. Chosen by an independent democratic body of the Maine Islands, they will make sure that the conference is kept on order and on topic.
You may bring your own security guards, if you wish, though please remember that Maine Islander Secret Service agents are guarding the room, armed to the teeth.

Yours,
John Clarke.
President of the Maine Islands.

Dear necessary personnel of the Republic of the Main Islands,

With the recent outburst onto the world stage by this new Republic, comes the potential for alliances, trade, enembies... and the general writing of history. As what happens with every nation that comes out of their cocoon to be greeted internationally with open arms.

Let us not spoil this tradition but embrace it. The Confederacy will be pleased to notify your President and other important personnel of the arival to your Conference of Robert Ochiv, a trusted aide of the Prime Minister himself. We must warn you that he considers carrying a Browning BDA Medium pistol on his person at all times a very high priority, and would probably not be very happy if it was forced away from him. For the sake of Kenavt's involvement in this glorious conference, please do not force it off of his person.

Sincerely,

Frederick Tranizer
Prime Minister of the Confederacy of Kenavt

Official Communique of the Confederacy of Kenavt

Dear necessary personnel of the Republic of the Main Islands,

Before this grand proposed Conference of Nations, the Confederacy also indeed proposes that the new nation of the Maine Islands establishes (or at least plans out) an embassy in the Confederacy of Kenavt. Such a move would bring a base for some sort of alliance, free trade pact, or any other thing(s) your country would be interested.

Sincerely,

Frederick Tranizer
Prime Minister of the Confederacy of Kenavt

OOC: Just wondering if you want an embassy in my country. Follow the thread in my signature: "Got Diplomacy?" if you are interested.

From: The Liberal Republic of Parilisa

I would like to congratulate you on your recent founding. The conference you propose can, in my humble opinion, result in only positive things and it a heart-warming thing to see a new nation make such an effort to bring betterment and improvement to our often fractious world. The Liberal Republic of Parilisa wishes to send an ambassador, Viktor Schutt, to attend your conference in the hope of establishing further diplomatic relations.

Yours Sincerely,
