Informing the people!

INC - The newest ship of the Immortal Lands of the Great Lord Tiger's fleet has been revealed. Our grand interstellar navy is soon to be complemented with what the Minister of Defense assures us will be one of the largest human-made objects to grace the cosmos anywhere -- the Apocalypse. Even now, its silhouette is visible to those who look into the Tigerian sky, a small line floating in the heavens -- yet even that is an indication of its sheer size and volume.

Measuring in at somewhere over 20 kilometers in length (the Ministry of Defense was vague on its size), it bristles with a full twenty Ragnarok-type Coilguns, which is notorious among our system's pirates for their symbolic Polonium shells. The ship has 6 hangar bays which can each hold up to 20 starfighters each, for a total complement of 120 units. The mysterious "Hantog" Slipspace Drive is, of course, present on board this ship; however, we were told that, due to its sheer size, it requires not one Hantog Drive to bore its way through space, but 3. The ship undoubtedly has more weapons even than that, but the Ministry of Defense was not forthcoming with those details, either.

The Apocalypse will not be officially commissioned for another cycle (OOC: month [lunar cycle]), but many people of the Immortal Lands simply can not wait for this literally massive addition to our battle fleet. We're told that it will be the flagship of the Imglotian Navy, now, but that it will, indeed, be deployed in a fleet: the soon-to-be-created, and we are quoting exactly, 6th Annihilation Fleet. Also part of this group will be numerous Death-Class Battleships and, likely, countless Plague Destroyers and Doombringer Assault Carriers.

The Minister of Defense refused to answer our question of whether this new leviathan would be used in the rumored expansion that the Immortal Lands are supposed to be considering. If we were to colonize another planet, and if we were forced to do it by force, the Apocalypse would very likely end any battle before it even started.

MESSAGE DISTRIBUTED GALAXY-WIDE. WILL REPORT ON EFFECT. SPACEMAN OUT.

OOC: Basically, this is a news release, but an agent of ours (Spaceman) has disseminated it throughout the galaxy. Feel free to respond, send us an urge not to use the Apocalypse, etc. In fact, governmental response is what I'm aiming for here.

Also, while this is FT, Spaceman here didn't know enough to only broadcast news to other interstellar nations -- so even earthbound MT or FT nations, feel free to clamor over the alien message you received.
