Life continued much like it had for hundreds of years. The men went out to fish, most coming back but some not day in and day out. Due to the remoteness of their village, they had not heard of the death of the emperor and the details surrounding him, infact they just barely felt the effects after the emperor death, true their seemed to be more haunting than usual but that only the local gossipers knew of the relative rareness of hauntings before and the rather large increases as of late. It was a new day in early spring, and the fishmen and their wives prepared for the coming fishing season, buying or making new fish hooks. Little did these humans think of the outside world and the consequences of it.
Blue (Fox) Spirit was quite like the rest of his (undead/spirit) people in the village, he came from the village having died their many years ago in a vicious storm and decided to watch over the village and its families for eternity to make sure nothing of great change would befall them. He as of late had not been to conserved with his job, which would explain why the things that were about to happen happened...
It all started with a young fishermen named Jeff. Jeff was quite like the other fishermen his father, grandfather, great grandfather and onward had been fishermen and his father had faithfully and dutifully passed on the tradition to his only son. Jeff had been a good student and had soon surpassed his father in most ways of fishing. While he may have grown a little sure of himself over the years, he still had been a faithful companion to his father and a honest husband.
Jeff had awakened on this early spring day, unusually late, his father had already left to prepare their small ship. After a quick breakfast, Jeff had run towards the docks barely noticing the crowds and signs surrounding him. If he had been paying greater attention he may have not run into the rather ferocious looking samurai that had been walking down the sidewalk that day...
