The Stonewall City

International press release from President Harvey O'Connelly, newly elected President of The Stonewall City.
Three weeks ago, after a wave of police arrests and world condemnations the former protectorate of St. Andrew's City inspired peace talks between national and city politicians over what should be done with the "Andrew's" Problem. The city, longtime capital of Gay, Lesbian and Transgender culture was horified at police invasions of clubs, galleries and cafes in the city's posh downtown area. The relentless protests asked for a temporary new constitution to be drawn up giving autonomy to St. Andrew's as a self-governing entity. The talks, lasting long into the second week finally produced a document liberating the city from federal control. After a renaming ceremony and a caucus on leadership, The Stonewall City opened its borders and began talks with other international entities.
Refugees from non-queer friendly nations and cities have begin pouring into the newly formed haven, causing a major crisis but also bringing in top ranking businessmen and academia elites. The city has now opened up for embassies, treaty talks and trade agreements. We invite all nations to come forward to the table of diplomacy and establish links with this newly formed nation.
