Maayastan had three provinces: The main Province where the capital was, the Mountain Province and the Arid Desert Province. Each had their own leaders but if one should die, one of the Princesses would take over. In the morning the three daughters of the King Shiba; Kanya, Yi-Mi, and Miku awoke early to begin their daily prayer to Allah. Doning the head scarves they went for their breakfast. "Where is Papa? Not like him to be late for Breakfast." Miku inquired.
"Well there was the big storm last night, wouldn't be suprised if it flooded the river and he was doing damage survey." Yi-Mi said.
Soon their father did arrived. "Morning girls." He greeted warmly but with a somber tone.
"Good morning papa." They chimed in unison. The King Li Shiba was a tall clean-shaven almost very youthful looking man.
"Something wrong?"
"Well Viceroy Kun Huo, just died. That means, I have to assign one of you to the throne. But as none of you are married it will be difficult."
This was a terrible blow. These sisters had been together since forever, now one would have to go to the Desert Province to Rule as Viceroy."
"I'll do it. I'm the oldest." Yi-Mi offered.
"Sister are you sure? You were going to go onto college." Kanya said.
"Kanya, The Desert Province is already widely growing in it's animosity towards the Federal Union. If I don't go, they may appoint that radical Nam and they might secede. I need to prevent that."
"Yi, I appreciate it," the father continued "But you are 17, and you have a bright future ahead of you. I want to see you finish school and go onto your higher education. I'm sure I can convince the Congress to appoint someone else."
"Papa, I have too. It's the tradition of this Monarch and this Family. When you took over as Grand Leader, you certainly didn't plan on it. Neither did Mama. It's my duty to my country, to this family."
"Very well, I will bring about this motion before Congress Tomorrow when it resumes session."
After one last day at school Yi-Mi bid farewell to her old friends and teachers.
"The death of Viceroy Huo, was tragic and sad. As in the tradition of this Monarchy, I purpose that my eldest be appointed the new Viceroy of the Desert Province of Rozenetta."
A mix of cheers applause and boos echoed.
Princess Yi-Mi Shiba Appointed as Viceroy of the Maayastanian Desert Province of Rozenetta
KARA-Following the death of Viceroy Kun Huo, King Li Shiba appointed his eldest daughter to become the new Viceroy of the Province Rozenetta, a mostly desert and steppe region of Maayastan.
Yi-Mi, 17 is the oldest of two siblings and was attending Kara Secondary School. She was expected to graduate valedictorian of her class however she will now be given her honorary Diploma before she departs.
"I did it, because I believe in the solid foundations of our Nation's Government. I will bear no regrets to be a good leader. Our traditions must be upheld and our values must be respected."
Yi-Mi was chosen over the popular choice, Congressman Jong-Sik Nam (RZ) and Yasuhiro Aoki.
