5 days' worth of MREs would be too bulky, especially for a soldier in the field. Perhaps a day's worth (two-three MREs at most) would be better. Also, it would probably be better to add at least another quart of water because water goes fast, especially when you're exerting yourself.

Beside that, 7 grenades (and 5 different types of them, counting the different smokes) is overkill. One frag and one smoke per rifleman would probably work, with room for an extra one or two mission-variable. Officers can carry the different-colored smoke grenades (again, mission-variable), because in all likelihood they'd be the ones ordering their use. Sticky grenades... if your troops are that close to an enemy tank, they have other things to worry about besides sticky grenades. All they'd be good for are blowing tracks off, and odds are a regular HE-Frag DP grenade could do that just as well. Besides, nothing would be worse than being in a fight, reaching for a frag (or smoke), coming up with the wrong grenade and, well, hilarity would not ensue.

And (if I read it right) your idea of the ammunition pack containing loose rounds for reloading magazines in the field sounds good on paper, but would add a significant amount of weight in the field for a marginal benefit in additional combat longevity. Plus the annoying clinking sound made by dozens (if not hundreds) of loosely-packed rounds of small arms ammunition accompanying every step taken by your soldiers is a negative to consider. Stealth would not be their strong suit.

One concern I have is that you may have too many specialist troops at the squad and platoon levels. As it stands right now, you have at least half of your 55-man platoon as part of a special weapons team or lugging ammunition for them (either the gunner/loader for a machine gun, SAM launcher, AT launcher or mortar crew), which would reduce your platoon's mobility and lower their firepower in a fight. The guy carrying a 30 pound heavy machine gun on top of the rest of his gear can't move very quickly, or as far as your riflemen, and neither can the guy lugging 600 rounds of ammo for him in box magazines or belts, again on top of his (or her, depending on your military's recruitment practices) regular gear. Ditto for the guys carrying 30 pound SAM launchers, spare ammo, AT launchers, spare ammo, etcetera.

Other than that, it's a good start, though I see you stole my roll of duct tape idea. :p

Hehe, thanks. I shall fix those problems. The XM410 is broken into two peices, with two belts for a frontline mobility usage. The extra ammunition will be lugged up by runners. If they want extra ammo for it, the grab the belts, and sling em about their neck. I got the idea of loose bullets from the ammunition pouches of WWII. I will remove them. I always go overkill on grenades, I admit. How about two frags, 1 smoke, and two variables? Yeah, half the squad is a speacialist, but I beleive in having something to combat the infantries worst enemy that they can see, the tank. 1 Anti tank, 1 squad support, 1 medic to patch up those who are wounded, and then the riflemen with a sergeant. 1 rifleman is the assisstant to the MGer, in that he carries an extra belt about his neck. He also watches the MGers back.

I was beginnign to lose my mind by the platoon sized, so I will fix that. Thanks.

OOC: Bring it to the draftroom, trust me. If they don't eat you alive, you'll come out much more knowledgeable in the end.

I checked the draft room, and they picked everything apart, and I found only half of them actually said something useful, like what Sal said. Essentialy, I don't like the draftroom lol. Also, this is OOC here. Gotta get off this to do my homework....eventually...
