After several weeks of negotiations between the two media groups, CEO of ONN, Ed Warner announced that he has agreed to sell ONN to the rising media giant OWN. The move comes amid greatly reduced sales of ONN printed products including the Orbath Times newspaper and dropping ratings on Orbathian and international television stations. Warner commented on his way to his vehicle after leaving the meeting saying, ''We have served the people for over 40 years, it is regrettable and hard to say but I believe the people are looking for something new, something cutting edge, something we haven't and cannot provide.'' When asked about ONN jobs, President of OWN Micheal Davis stated, ''I fully intent to keep as many former ONN jobs as possible, however ONN has dug itself quite a hole and its going to take time and money to get out of.'' ONN had its last television news broadcast last night and its last edition of the Orbathian Times was put out today.
Stoklomolvi Liberals To Be Granted Citizenship In Orsa
Following a surprise coup in Stoklomolvi and the reinstatement of the former regime, Orbath has offered to take in thousands of Stoklomolvi liberals who have been ousted from their homes and deported. Over five million liberals have been displaced, however the government has only granted citizenship to 50,000 but they are expected to grant citizenship to many more in the coming weeks. President Flint commented on the situation saying, ''The coup was peaceful and these people were peacefully removed. It may not be politically correct on many levels, but I think it is better that these people are displaced rather than dead.'
Stoklomolvi Liberals Recruited Into ROLF
Following the displacement of millions of Stoklomolvi rebels, many have chosen to join the Royal Orbathian Foreign Legion. By joining, each person would receive a paid job, housing and three meals a day, something the liberals currently don't have. Record numbers of recruits have applied in the past 24 hours, overwhelming ROLF recruiting stations. One recruiter reported receiving over 1000 applications within an hour. ROFL is expected to close down recruiting soon, however may be offering a special contract to displaced liberals.
