Situation breaks in Tiurabo.

Tiurabo

Still at his board of Regicide, General Cain Tiurabo, Master of the First Army and Unifier of the Nation, knew he was going to win. Twice now his opponent had made fatal flaws, first exposing both is Adepts at once, and throwing away nearly all of his Guardsmen in petty conflicts. He about to deliver the coup'd'grace, when yet again the phone rang

"It never ends. Cursed machine! Nya? This had better not be a commercial or some petty war news! They did what?! Half the city? Chadswick? Damned Royalists. Yes, I'll get on the next helicopter over. Assemble the Second and Third, withdraw the First from Solonia or whatever it is, and call the Regulators in. Who's leading them? Tivor himself? I should have shot that little puke when i had the chan--what? Nya, nya, aubain, General."

Cain threw the telephone at the base, knocking the thing off his desk.

"That was General Stuart over at Chadswick Command. That bastard Tivor has taken command of a large armed force, mostly civvies but alot of police as well, and there's fighting in the streets, mostly between civilian loyalists and the rebels. We need to get over there fast." As he spoke, Cain moved quickly to a large oak wardrobe and, opening the doors, removed a set of GWO Infantry Armor that he had procured at great expense for himself and several other "targets", as well as a Bushmaster Adaptive Combat Rifle. It was a handy firearm, and he had made it an alternate to the Line and Strike main weapons, the XM8.

"Right, let's go deal with these rebel pigs. I'm itching to see my boys and girls in action."

Perhaps a little word on why they are rebelling and maybe what they think ideology wise, although that is less important. Im interested in this, but need more to go on.)

Task Force Wrath

The sizable battle group sliced through the waves as High Admiral Von Luden looked out over the sea from his position on the bridge.

Only hours ago he had received orders from the Admiralty to change course and set about for operations against Tiurabo, the small nation had seen its rightful government overthrown by a ambitious warlord.

The Kaiser had seen fit to deploy some 20,000 Imperial troops and 3,500 Imperial Marines along with the carrier battle group to depose the warlord Tiurabo and if possible capture him for later trial.

Now only 18 hours away Luden set about ensuring final preparations for the coming conflict.

Ultimatum to Cain Tiurabo

Your unlawful seize of power and authority over the lands of Tiurabo can not and will not be tolerated.

You have twenty four hours to step down as ruler of Tiurabo, abdicate rule to the rightful monarch and disband all of your military forces.

Should you choose to not accept these demands you will be removed by force and brought to justice.

Kaiser Harlin Delvius III,
Kaiser Divine Reich of Unkerlantum

Response to Ultimatum

Kaiser Divine Reich of Unkerlantum. While your actions are noble on the outside, they are within tainted by the shadow of ignorance. I, Cain Tiurabo, took power by right of military conquest, acting as a General of the West. Would you deny a country taking control of another if they had causus belli? I acted in a war as all commanders should, ending the war that had ravaged my homeland quickly and decisively. I did so with a minimal loss of life.

As to these experiments you speak of, I have no idea of what you are talking about. Because you said unGodly, I assume you mean some sort of gentic research, which Tiurabo has not undertaken, and probably never will. I hope this information will make you rethink your reasons for invasion.

With regards,
General C. Tiurabo.

Cain closed his laptop and leaned back, looking out of the open door of the Mil Mi-24 Hind attack helicopter. the fighting had lulled, but he could still see peole running through the streets, almost all of them armed, if only with bricks or tools. However, he knew there were more heavily armed individuals hiding from the flight of helicopters passing overhead. Five in all, each held eight Strike troopers, specially trained for missions in which high flexiility and mobility was required. The pilot spoke through the inter-squadron channel.

"Two minutes to the landing zone, General. We're almost there."

"Good," he said. "Bring us in on the HQ helipad, and radio General Stuart that I want him to brief me on the current situation."

Cain jumped from the Hind before it touched down, landing heavily under the weight of the Grand World Order Infantry Armor, followed closely by his Strikers. He waited for all five teams to disembark, then strode to where the officer was awaiting his arrival. The Commander did not salute as he approached, and without pause he followed the young man down the stairs to the Tiuraboan Command Center. Once there, he greeted the tanned woman standing in front of a superimposed city map situated across one large wall.

"What's the situation, General Stuart? I know it's a Royalist uprising led that little pig, Tivor. Give me a tac-app."

The short blonde nodded. "Sir. The rebels own Old Town, as well as the city center. Everything outside is ours, and we have them contained but they could break at any time. There are five Regulator teams, that's fifty men total, all with IFVs, inside the perimeter. I advised the Provost against it, but, as you know, I have no control of their actions. We're jamming the rebel comm channels, but it's only a manner of time before they find a clear freq.
"As to weaponry, there are very few soldiers or militia with them, but the Regulator precinct in Old Town was overrun just an hour ago."

Cain held up a hand to interrupt. "You didn't send forces in to aid them?"

Stuart looked uncomfortable, shifting from foot to foot, not meeting her superiors eyes. "I...I gave a general order to all units to stay outside the perimeter."

"Why, General?"

"The one time we tried to enter the perimeter, the squad of IFVs was overrun in a matter of minutes. No one got out. Alot of these rebels are civvies, but a frightening amount appear to be trained. We ran down a list of people with militia training, or military service. As I told you, very few names came up, only five active servicemen in the thousands that live in the city. More militia. Then I cross-referenced all the Old Guard, the former Eastern Army. Every damn Commie, pardon my language, on that list under the age of fifty and with all four limbs is in those two districts.

"We know there aren't any combatant Loyalists inside the Perimeter, because anyone who stayed loyal either left or is dead by this time. That's combat personnel, as to civvies, we figure there's anywhere from several thousand to somewere over a million, that might be trapped inside the Perimeter, so airstrikes are out of the question. I just don't see what we can do or them."

Luden looked over the latest reports and satellite images as his task force slipped into Tiurabon waters.

As precautionary measures AWACS and CAP squadrons now circled the battlegroup as well as several helos dropped bouys to alert the battlegroup to any submarine activity.

On the flight deck of the smaller pocket carrier Erbarmen six UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters roared towards the mainland each carrying a team of spec ops which were to provide reconnissance back to the main fleet as well as meet up with the loyalist leadership.

"RBS Interpid, this is the Destroyer Morbus. We intercepted an open communication broadcast coming from your ship. Please state your business in Tiuraboan waters."
-------------

Abraham Tivor stood in the basement of a large office building, staring at a small city map. The stupid thing was inaccurate as all Hell, and he had called for a better one, but no one was moving outside. For all they knew, those Imperialists were rolling down the street in military tanks by now. He couldn't understand why Tiurabo had not cleansed the city center. In his position, Tivor would probably burn Old Town and the Center to put down a rebellion. It would have been the smartest move, ending the action quickly and with minimal casualties. A runner burst in, one of the few of his followers who dared to go outside.

"Sir, ships representing at least three countries have been spotted from the Rodder Memorial Tower. They have been contacted by the Imperialist Mercs, and have not moved for some time."

That was what Cain was waiting for! He'd called support from other countries to force the right and true rulers of the East to submit. Well, it wouldn't work, they would fight to the last man and woman. He realized the runner was still standing there, panting, waiting for a return message.

"Get more runners together, send them out to all the strongholds. Tell everyone to prepare for assault and possibly bombardment. Also tell them to gather any supplies in their area, and keep them preserved as long as possible. If that means taking over a corner store, do it! Go!"

The runner flew out of the room, looking for others with a blue armband of a mesenger.

The six insertion choppers with their special forces teams continued on and after twenty minutes of travel two of the six stopped as they hovered over the sea less than a mile off the coast. A few moments later several small tethers fell from the sides of the helos and small figures slipped downt he ropes into the waves below.

The remaining four blackhawks continued on splitting off into pairs one pair heading west to take up a position to look out over Tiurabon forces another pair heading towards the besieged city in order to attempt to reach Tivor and the loyalist forces.

At sea Luden and the fleet continued pressing forward until they reached a preferable distance one which kept the fleet out of land based anti-ship armaments.

Luden would wait for his spec ops teams to report while the remainder of the Unkerlantian forces began to prepare for landings, checking and double checking their equipment, suiting up their gear and grabbing up supplies.

I was just in contact with a Chernobl warship, and they requested a report from us about the increase in Fleet operations. No, sir, I wanted to have them heave-to, but I didn't have any evidence, just a gut feeling. No, sir, just a feeling." Again, he paused, this time to let the man on the other end speak for several seconds. "Well, they were in IN waters, but they were close enough to be scanning our movements. "Shaddup," bawled Lieutenant Orion. "Tiuraboan soldiers don't whine like bitches."

((Okay, after a bit of a wait to see if anyone else wanted to jack my thread, I decided to start it up. Despite the two pages of OOC...))

The Twentieth Merc Fleet, consisting of one or two cruisers and a smattering of destroyers, as well as some smaller ships, was fully deployed to patrol the area around the East Coast of Tiurabo. The descision had come from on high that there was a threat of invasion from the sea, what with the situation in Chadswick still out of government control.

Many of the crew were worried that this might mean paycuts, and possibly the dropping of some smaller Fleets like their own. Thusly, they had to prove their worth to the nations security. For this reason, the entire flotilla was on high alert, ready to call any ship to heave-to for inspection, or to fire on any ships that "acted aggressively".

Back on the mainland, the situation in Chadswick was quickly devolving. The Royalist rebels had stepped up their game, approaching the Perimeter to hurl insults and rubble. Regulators with riot shields took the brunt of the damage, huddling in tight phalanxes to guard the other, less armored units from the rock and metal chunks.

"Where are they getting all this debris to throw at us?" asked Cain from his observation point on the helipad. He was watching through a monocular, and as far as he could see there was no end in sight. Not enough damage to send military units, too many hostiles to have Regulators deal with it.

One of his Strikers responded, "The building that got demolished a week ago, on Unity Street. It's only two roads away from here. Ironic, ennit, Sir?"

"Very ironic, Captain. You say there's no way to get helicopters over the redzone?" Cain turned away from the fight to look at his subordinate.

"Not safely, sir. The rebels have got their hands on some old RPG-7's, and we know they can use 'em cause they hit a news helicopter 'fore we could figure out what was going on. And a Hind is...a bit bigger than what the newsies use. So, hel's are a no-go, unless we can find a way to get 'round 'em, or through 'em."

Cain nodded, thanked the officer for his information, and turned back to the battle. "What I'm most worried about is the Regulators on the inside. We can't get a radio contact, so they could be alive, or they could have been dead for hours. What bothers me most is that no demands have been issued, not even bellyaching about us "Imperialist dogs" and our "despotic regime". This isn't right for Royalists, it's not the way they act, especially when they're riled up."

They were flying low en their Mi-8M and Mi-24 transport helicopters, the base of the entire AirCav division was a group of off shore helicopter carriers guarded by a flotilla of destroyers and cruisers. The first wave was going en hot with forty helicopters, thirty Mi-8Ms and ten Mi-24. Each run could shuttle en about nine hundred and eighty troops, and the total number of men sent would be around ten thousand, all of which was light infantry with helicopter support.

Sitting at his computer in Radar Defense Base Two, grid Alpha, Line Corporal Juarez was reading a much thumbed, paperback edition of "Starship Troopers" for the fourth time. There wasn't much else to do on Rad-watch, because the most interesting thing that happened was caffeine break. It was an important job, because it was the radar station that protected a large portion of the East Coast of Tiurabo, including Chadswick, and the station had been put on high alert. But it was break time, so everyone was down the hall. Juarez preffered to stay at his station, just in case.

His console dinged at him for the ninety-billionth time as the arm on the green-screen completed it's circuit once more. He turned back to his novel, and after a few seconds, the console dinged again. And again. Then it buzzed at him, loudly, three times in quick succession. Startled, he glanced up to see what the trouble was. The buzzing continued, but no one was listening, because Juarez had already slammed the alarm button and lunged for the Watch Radio.

"All units on watch, air defense stations! We got multiple aircraft incoming on our position, likely helicopters. Estimate thirty, ETA ten minutes!"

He then ran for the emergency locker, pulling out a suit of GWO armor and pulling it on as quickly as he knew how. He then withdrew a Bushmaster ACR and four magazines, slapping one into his rifle. Then he went back to his station, looking at the blips on his screen. Grabbing for the mic again, he bellowed, "Any and all personnel on-base, this is rad-watch, estimate forty fast movers, out."

By this time, the station was filled with men and women, though you couldn't tell which was which because of the masks. It was also filled with metallic, filtered voices.

"Air defense up, grid Alpha." "SAM's hot, Alpha." "Strike is in the air, and Line is on the Wall." Everything went silent as Juarez said, "Trying to raise unident' aircraft, all quiet!"

This was the message the NCO officer broadcasted:
"Unidentified aircraft, you have entered Tiuraboan Airspace, and are currently in a no-fly zone. Abort your mission now and proceed to Nealy Airforce Base or you will be fired upon. you are being tracked by radar and SAM sites. No other warning will be given, we recommend you do as ordered."

((What do you call your nation, if not Buddha C?))

Juarez leaned back with an explosive sigh, then keyed the mic again. "Grave-Alpha one, you gave us all a scare over here. Proceed to the Chadswick Perimeter Headquarters. I'll get you the coordinates in a moment, over." He then spoke to the rest of the room. "False alarm, everything's alright. We've got the force from ((Buddha C)) coming in over the coast." At this point, an officer started bawling about how they were good, but they could have been better, caught with their pants down, blah-blah-blah.

[OOC: Navy... Not even worth a response :-p And yes, the national name is Buddha C]

The first wave landed en Chadswick Perimeter, part of this was Kcurun Hand. The helicopters quickly rappelled them en, then fell back to bring more troops en rapidly. Hand quickly formed up his fireteam and they intergrated themselves into a larger collective known as Halo Company Beans. (B Company) The commander of which, Capiton Reinald Homes, was on his way to find the executive commander of the instillation and see if he could secure some kind of transport and the quickest route to the city if they weren't allowed use of their halo transport.
