:DI know that i have pissed off some Nations by saying that Dicators were corrupt. Even though i know i am right several people have sent me telegrams(not going to name them) have advised me to step down due to lack of support. Since i am a man of reason i will come to a treaty on these 3 conditions.

1) You give your people a reason to fire them.

2) Then i will leave you alone and get this behind us.

3) To all poor Dictators i will support you.

Answer within the next 4hrs.

You don't fire leaders, you impeach or dethrone them.

Or you initiate a hostile takeover and get pwned, yes, I said pwned in II.

RE: Dictatorships, corruption, diplomacy and sovereignty

To whom it may concern within the governing body of Riatto

A dictatorship is a state in which supreme executive power does not in essence derive from an acknowledgement of broad-base popular consensus. To argue that a government formulated in such a way is any more or less corrupt than one which panders to the uneducated, uninformed or apathetic opinions of the broader population is in itself a populaist political manoeuver of great magnitude, and in turn belies the claim, implied though it may be, that your own form of government is in any way superior.

Does an officer, leading his men through fire, lead by consensus? No, he does not, but none would dare accuse a combat lieutenant of corruption.
Competence or otherwise determines position within the Protectorate. Honour determines whether they remain or are removed as the detritus they would be, should they not possess such. To accuse us, by definition and word, of being corrupt, of dishonouring ourselves and those that look to us for strength and succour, is a slap in the face, an insult, and a challenge of tremendous scale.

We note your capacity for affront. We consider it a mark of your relative national youth, and state-wide inexperience in foreign affairs. We urge you thusly.

Tread carefully. Let your word be your bond. Do not say anything that you would not wish repeated. Above all, remember that a nation's internal affairs are its own. Do not make the mistake of attempting to impose your cultural stereotypes and values upon those who do not share them. It is one thing to offer solace to the oppressed, crying for aid under the yoke of tyranny. It is quite another to attempt to destroy a firm and established central government that has ruled successfully for centuries.

Sovereignty is no excuse that allows dishonourable conduct. But be very, very careful what you consider dishonourable, and, more than that, what you claim to be so. Take due care that your declarations of war are not responded to in ways you would not anticipate, lest your populace end up paying for the mistakes of those in government, as is usually the case in armed conflict.

Stand undaunted, and let honour guide you.
