This is a rather controversial idea but here goes: The idea is in Sonomi (my capital city) there was a Clinic with the intent to rehabilitate homosexuals. Through brutal theraputic fassions our doctors and nurses attempt to deprogram children and adults of their "queer ways." This includes eclectro shock therapy, drug therapy, and other mental things and bad science. The conditions are terrible and some may succumb to the brainwashing, others will die, and some may be lucky to make it out alive. This RP will take place in 1920 (AD) when Kurona was mostly in deep isolation. In this RP you may have as many characters as you desire and can handle. You can RP both patients and doctors. If you wish to leave the RP, please state so. Your character can succumb and bounce back, or simply give in and accept the supposed "deprograming" and try to become straight. Or you can try your hardest to resist and continue being the way you are. You can escape or you can die. I may chose a few of you to die, keep in mind. Eventually the clinic may be destroyed by fire or tornado. So if you are up to this unusual challenge give it a shot. You may also play native Kuronans (which I would like to see plenty of considering I'm in deep isolation in this time period) as well as foreigners. If you want to play as Kuronan citizens you can make up any town name, I really don't care. You can also come from Sonomi. Oh yeah some forbidden romances can go on if you so like.

Due to the 'Purges' in Void Templar in this time, most homo/bisexuals are executed. However, due to public and international outcry, they are trying rehabilitation methods, preferably the worst ones. Templar's are great ones for 'beat it out of them' methods.

Constantine Laurens is the son of a Byzantine Greek doctor who married one of his own (French) nurses and is quite well known for his devotion to medicine and his tendency to be blunt. After looking over the Sonomi Clinic, he decided to join up after becoming curious about this proposal from Uta; he had originally been in Kurona as part of a medical outreach program. His wife and one (straight) daughter live with him in Sonomi; his opinion on homosexuality is said to be leaning towards dislike but not hatred.

Note: My intention is to have the wife and/or daughter visit him at work if it was ever possible under the circumstances. I am perfectly willing to have female patients pine for the daughter if that's good for any of you with female patients. Please note that the daughter is fourteen and fully straight; but possibly open minded. I am sure they'd see a glimpse of her or what not. Constantine's ethic is to be gentle with his patients. If he's told, for example, to speak with a lesbian about what they feel then he would ask them with respect. In his mind, a patient responds well to good will. He's also prone to vividly studying his patients to the point he's have a very detailed report on each one of them.

No problem. I wasn't hoping to have this RP be about a doctor who makes the patients rabid like people infected with the virus from 28 Days Later who, as a result, go all cannibal on each other and, well, you can tell what happens when you're with them in closed quarters. ;)

By the way, Kurona, are visits from the family of doctors allowed or not? I was sort of imagining that the asylum would be kept under wraps and, thus, family visits wouldn't be liked for obvious reasons.

Oh, and I was wondering one more thing; because it's the 20's, how much trouble would Andre expect if he was smoking or drinking in the clinic?

Sever, smoking and drinking has always been outlawed in Kurona. He could be fired and arrested for it.

I'll make sure to remember that for future reference. My character never smokes and usually drinks on holidays or at some other celebration such as a wedding.
