A New Order Rising (Open MT)

SS Intrepid, International Waters

The entire plan, had been set in motion, by an event entirely unconnected to this particular cruise. Now, however, months of planing, and waiting were about to pay off. The SS Intrepid was a cruise ship. On board were 72 passengers and 20 crew members. Seven of those passengers, were not along simply for the enjoyment of the cruise. They were there for something far more devious. It was after mid-night, when young Vlad Drakul, stood on the deck, smoking a cigarette. He was in a way, celebrating, as today was his 15th birthday. He flicked the cigarette overboard, when six others approached him. They were all about his age, some a year older, some a year younger. Vlad did not say a word, he simply pulled a pistol, with a silencer, from his jacket. The others pulled out Uzis, also sporting silencers, and followed him towards the bridge. He kicked down the door, surprising the crew, and put two rounds in the captain's head. The other men, shot the other men on the bridge, in a similar fashion. The radio operator was shot, before he could send any message. "Round up the crew and passengers, and take them to the dinning room," Vlad said to the men. "Then prepare the gags." The men then left, to go door to door rounding up the crew and passengers. Vlad pulled a hunting knife from his pocket, and went around to every member of the crew, removing the rounds from their bodies, or from the walls, should the shots have gone completely through the bodies. He then picked up the shell casings, and placed them all in a plastic bag. He then walked outside, and threw the bag overboard, watching it sink below the surface.

By the time his men had rounded up the passengers, Vlad had dragged the crew out onto the deck. "Sir, we have rounded up all the passengers and crew," one of the men, said to him. "Good," Vlad replied. "Bring them to me, in groups of four, gagged," Vlad continued, as he wiped his hunting knife off on the captain's shirt. The men did as instructed. When the first group was brought out, they saw the bodies of the crew, and began to fight, but their captors, held them steady. Vlad, without a word, walked up to the first of the group, took his hunting knife, and slit the man's throat. He then did the same to the next, and the next, and the next. He continued, in groups of fours, as the bodies piled up on the deck. Some did attempt to run, but they were shot. Once all the passengers, had been killed. They were all thrown overboard. Vlad removed any bullets that were in those that had been shot attempting to run, before throwing them overboard. Then, Vlad and his men, brought out an inflatable boat they had brought with them, with a motor, and sped away from the empty boat. They had a larger sailboat, stashed on a nearby island. They made sure to leave no trace either on the boat, or the island. By midmorning, they were just seven Beatusian boys, out on a yacht enjoying the ocean.

(OOC: It's likely that there were International passengers on that cruise ship, also, will need someone to find the 85 dead bodies, giver or take a few due to sharks, floating on the water, in a rather large pool of blood.)

George Bryant was commander of "Goose 3", a p7 Orion maritime patrol aircraft. They had been aloft for 3 hours on routine patrol.

"Legs" Calhoun the radar operator was joking with his companion Brent "ping" Johnson about the Saturday football game that a select team from their squadron, the "Pirate"s, played against the navies "Popeye" team.

I'm telling ya Ping the dammed Pirates played like a bunch of ladies. I Was damned embarrassed to be a member of this here squadron, embarrassed I say"

Ping said " Jeez "legs" I wish you would stop gripping and start playing, there's nothing worse than a couch potato moaning about a game, when they don't do diddly squat to play or even help"

"Jeez-us Ping, how could ya say that, didn't I bring the beers down after the game, Goddamn gratitude".

"Well ya may have brought them down, but you drank half of them on the way".

All of a sudden Ping yelped.

"I have a contact 290 degrees and about 7 miles, its dead in the water"

Captain Denis O'Rourke immediately banked the aircraft, towards the contact.
A few moments later his co-pilot while looking through his binoculars said "There she is, dead ahead, its a cruise ship"

Captain O'Rourke asked "Wonder why she is dead in the water, do we have a make on her"

The co pilot Dan Sorenson saw the name on the stern as they flew low
"Its the SS Intrepid" he quickly looked up the register of ships,
"Yep here she is owned by some two bit tour company called "Highlight Cruises".

He was interrupted by Legs who was also observing the ship

"Hey, Whoa man, there's bodies in the water, and I mean bits of bodies cos the damn sharks are having a frenzy down there"

They circled around again, and indeed they now saw several bodies being attacked by a school of sharks.

Captain O'Rourke asked Ping which was the closest Rechburg ship,

"its the destroyer "Lady Lea" shes about 20 miles away south of here, shes DD 314 capt'n"

He switched the frequency to Rechburg Navy channel "open communications"

"Rechburg P937 calling Rechburg 314, do you receive me"

Almost immediately there was a reply

"This is Rechburg 314, go ahead P937"

"Aaah, 314, we have a emergency situation at co-ordinates L 31.34 Lo67.56
on Grid 45 east, we have 1 cruise ship the SS Intrepid dead in the water, with bodies in the sea"

"P937, this is Rechburg 314, did you say bodies in the sea"

"Affirmative Rechburg 314, we count 6 bodies in the sea, and a whole shitload of sharks"

Moments later a new voice came on line
"This is Captain Steele, I understand you have 1 cruise ship with dead bodies in the water, is that correct"

"Affirmative Captain, 6 bodies, a ship dead on the water and no one movement aboard ship. We have been trying to raise her with radio and light but no response"

"Can you maintain your position P937"

"Affirmative Rechburg 314"

"We will be there in about 45 minutes, we have been in heavy seas but it looks like there is an improvement, so it could be sooner; over"

"Ahh roger Rechburg 314, we will squawk to see if anyone else is closer and we will maintain position until you arrive."

"Roger P937, this is Rechburg 314 out"

Captain O'Rourke then asked his radio op to call for other ships on the open channel.

Moments later the radio operator began calling

"This is rechburg P7 Orion Flight P937, we have an emergency situation at
co-ordinates L 31.34 Lo67.56 on Grid 45 east.
1 Cruise ship, dead in the water, with bodies in the sea. Is there a vessel in this area"

He kept repeating the message as the Orion circled.

How long ago was it from the time you left the ship and my Plane arrived?
