A destroyer and two frigates slipped silently along through the blackness of space. Their stealth fields up and running. Passive scanners reaching through the blackness.

The captain on deck of the destroyer sat back in her chair. Looking at the holo view of the area. "Set us up in that nearby asteroid field and deploy a warp scrambler. We know this is their shipping route." She paused as the ships adjusted their course, entering the asteroid field and slowing to a stop. Letting the ships drift carefully among the asteroids. "We hold position here, you all know the protocol."

The three ships shut almost compleatly down. Keeping stealth and life support online to mask their presence in the area. passively scanning, waiting for the opportune moment.

A large black cargo ship with 3 corvettes as an escort slowly made their way through the area."Watch out for loose asteroids," said Cpt. Neilson, looking at his NavMap. The Cargo ship was of the Ralkovian Trade Confederation and so was the lightly armed corvette. They were carrying over a thousand tons of Necklogen negative (Ralkovian metal used as building material)

The ship slowly manuevered past the large rocks. The ralkovian confederation trade route had been used hundreds of times before and security was light.

Coming out of Hyperspace was one Sha'shi Class Cargo Carrier. a Hyperborian cargo Ship, The Khan's Iron. The Ship was 1200 Meters and armed with 100 Turbolasers, 100 Small Anti-Fighter Laser Cannons and 20 Ion-Cannons for protection. It also Carried 120 Starfighters.

It was a Ship no one wanted to mess with......unless you wanted to mess with it.

The Cargo on it was Mining Equipment for The Asteroid Mines of This System. Such Mines were in Operations though out The Hyperborian Khanate.

The Capitan of The Trader know he would watch out for Hyperborian Pirates, who were well known to attack even Well Armed ships.

The captain idly nodded to the sensors officer when it was reported that a transport with escorts was passing by the area. Its signiture didnt match so it was ordered to be left alone.

When the 1200 meter ship dropped out of warp it was quickly reported. The captain stood with a half smile. "Weapons online, target their power core with the main cannon. Keep a loose formation and prime P-drives. All ships, fire at will."

There was a pause as the ships internal lights flickered slightly, red lights began to strobe as the three ships powered to life behind their stealth screens. Moving just enough in the field to have clear lines of sight.

There would be a gravity anomoly from the asteroid field a moment before the three ships opened up. The spinal mounted mega gravitic cannon starting the barrage with a deep purple flash, sending its semi truck sized tungsten steel high frac-C round streaking towords the large trade ships aft section. The destroyers turrets concentrating fire on the ships bridge.

The two frigates opened fire as well. Its main turrets targeting the ships coms system.

Simultaneously to the barrage starting, each ship released two decoy drones, which would emit identical sensor signals to the ships that launched them. Each drone moving off in a different direction.

The Hyperborians were smarter then most traders, mainly for putting shields on Their ships that were mainly for Warships. The Hyperborians used layered Shielding for effect against enemy fire. Also they were armored heavily.

As The attack started, the shields were soon up and now The Cargoship was sending out it's fighters. These were Broionx Class Attack Fighters, armed with two fire-linked Laser Cannons and two Missile/Torpedo Launchers.

The Ship also started fireing into The Asteroid Fields. In hopes of hitting Something even the two things the Sensors detected.

The three ships opened up with their quad barrel sliver guns on the bays on the trader, forcing the fighters to fly through a rain of high frac-C rounds.

The destroyers main gravitic cannon had begun the slow process of cycling in a new round as its captain ordered the three ships to deploy fighters. the six decoy drones fanning out through the asteroud field, pulsing with gravity readings to roughly mimic the fire from the three ships.

The main guns of the destroyer cycling a new spike every three seconds, all three ships continuing to focus their fire on the traders bridge area. The two frigates launching two ship to ship cruise missiles each, the destroyer launching four.

The three ships hellfire turrets locking on to any fighters that clear the spray on the trade ships bays, launching anti-fighter missiles.

A loud 'pop' sounded and a blue sphere materialized into view. It was an Altairan trade-ship exiting slip-space. It was a repurposed Lin Kuei battleship.http://images.wikia.com/halo/images/8/8b/Covenant_Assault_Carrier_FanArt.jpg It had stopped to redirect around the asteroids but it was caught by an anti-fighter missile. Although it had barely nudged the shields it had snapped the ship into combat mode.

" I want firing solutions on those vessels!" the captain shouted.
"Tracking.....locked."
"Bombs away" Several lines of plasma collected and massed onto a Hyperborian ship, boring through shields with sluggish speed.
"Prepare a pod of LONGSHOT Missles"
"Aye.....ready"
"Wait for the shields to down" The ball of plasma faded and the shields of the ship flickered and faded. "Now"

((If you got hit by one of the anti-fighter missiles then your in the crossfire of my ships, firing tungsten steel spikes at .8+ light speed, and his ship, firing missiles, turbolasers, etc. That and the Hellfire anti-fighter missiles use antimatter warheads.
