Fórin Tawrem boarded his passenger ship, Eastern Sun.
He had been sent by Kirso University to study the history, people, and culture of the Elijah Islands. It was a unique opportunity. Kirso University rarely looked outside the realm of Cosco-Kiravian civilisation. It was even more unlikely that Tawrem would be chosen for this mission.
Tawrem [Pronounced T/OW/rem] was a member of the Cymrev ethnic group, and hailed from the colony of Sorvrina. His original position had been that of an Anthropology Professor at the University of Dæmec in the colonial capital. When Dæmec U. and Kirso agreed to a five-year staff exchange, Tawrem was put on the list. As a visitor and only a minor name in Kiravian anthropology, it amazed all that he had indeed been selected to introduce the Elijah Islands to the Coscivian-speaking world.
The Eastern Sun pulled away from Saar-Greysea's harbour, leaving Xirya behind. Soon it would arrive in a country where no Kiravian vessel had called at ever before.
