Orbath

OOC: I tried getting involved in another colony thread, came up with a nice plot to explain how my government will get out of its economic recession and it appears the thread is pretty much dead. I don't want to completely abandon the plot so I decided to create my own my continent on which I will create a colony.
I am going to allow a small number of people to colonize the land, roughly around three depending on the size of the colonies. Please choose a fair sized colony both relative to your population and to ensure others also get a fair sized plot of land. I don't want one person with a huge plot of land and two with very small plots. I would also like it very much if you could edit your own claim onto the map. There isn't much in the way of landmarks to help me outline your plot of land so it just makes things easier.
Please also note that I am looking for active, detailed RPers who are interested in taking this beyond just grabbing up some land. It is my hope that by making this a smaller, much tighter knit sort of thing I can encourage more interaction, whether good or bad. I am not looking to fight a huge war over this land and those that are interested in such will be turned away. I do not have any problem with political disagreements, cold war style actions or small unit covert operations.
I will allow you to create your own climate, resources ect, however please note this is a jungle island and since weather and geographical features don't usually stop at a borders I expect that there is going to b some overlapping.
In order to join please provide a map with your claim on it, some information on how active you can be. You can also provide links to past RPs if you want. I am usually quite active during the week, not very active on the weekends.

Discovering New Lands
Specter Three Four was an Orbathian CH-53E carrying a platoon (24) of Orbathian Air Calvary soldiers conducting training exercises in water insertion. The helicopter was operating off of the deck of a Wasp Class ship, one of several in the area, part of a naval Task Force conducting usual patrols. The helicopter had experienced both guidance and engine malfunctions during the training. The pilot thought he was returning to the ship, but instead flew into bad weather. The helicopter was battered by torrents of rain and very high level winds. The helicopter had to strain itself to fight against the elements, using even more fuel than usual. Although the helicopter had a very, very long range, it eventually ran out of fuel. Through the thick rain, the pilot spotted an island getting closer and closer. Since crashing into the island would be riskier, he instead guided the helicopter as close as possible. He allowed the soldiers to insert using the rear hatch of the helicopter to drop an inflatable raft into the water.
The soldiers paddled vigorously and the strong waves brought them quickly onto the island. They immediately worked together to construct a shelter and create a fire. The section each took turns searching the coast for the pilots, whose helicopter had crashed into the ocean. Eventually both pilots were found.
Several hours later the service men were found by a search and rescue team operating from the Task Force. The SAR was amazed to find them on land, considering that there wasn't supposed to be any there. Military command was notified and the message was passed on to President Flint.
A New Beginning
President Flint discussed the island with his staff. He kept it a secret, sending several small teams of soldiers and researchers to do tests on the island. He also had the island mapped out. Eventually he chose the area that he believed to be the most beneficial to Orbath. He also allowed Count Andrews, ruler of Orbath's colony of Throppe to choose a small plot of land. This plot would essentially be the colony of a colony. Soon, a Task Force of ships was dispatched to the continent, their first task was to secure Orbath's claim border. On the eve of the ships arrival in what Flint deemed Orbath's colonial waters, Flint issued a statement to the international community.

On November 24th, an Orbathian helicopter carrying a platoon of Orbathian soldiers experienced bad weather. Unable to fight the weather, the helicopter pilot allowed the soldiers to disembark onto a raft while he safely crash landed the helicopter into the ocean. The soldiers and pilots eventually found themselves on a previously unknown and unclaimed patch of land. This unnamed continent shall now be called Novus Orsa, or New Beginning. I am also announcing the government of Orbath has chosen to colonize an area of this land, for the time being to be known as Orbath Minor. There is still unclaimed area which Orbath has no plan to colonize and therefore is open to others who may wish to do so. This land is not open to illegal organizations, terrorists or pirates and the government of Orbath will act strongly to ensure this continent is not used in support of the above type of groups' perverted policies. I must ask that nations wishing to colonize this land respect our borders. I would like to ask that nations provide Orbath with details of their claims in order to ensure nobody is trampled upon. May all find prosperity!
Signed, William Flint, President of Orbath
