Nyx Darkrider Speech Number 1232 "Remembering our Fallen Troops"
The Chazakain Empire today at 18:46 CMT(Chazakain Main Time) mourns the sacrifice of its soldiers in the Mewsland Incidents(I and II) and will officially open the memorial to these brave men and women that fought for a country they had not known of before and for a people they hadn't met.
The Mewsland Incident Memorial is a 2600 dm or 260 meter black granite wall inscribed with each member of the Chazakain Arms Force's name who died or is still MIA and assumed dead due to the complete destruction of Mewsland by various allied satellite weaponry. Each name gets roughly 1 dm of space and starts with private Adams Aago and ends with lt. Vego Vector.
There is also a separate memorial 100 meters to the north of the main moment with the list of 25 million Mewslanders who were killed due to the stupidity of their leaders, either directly in the incident(s) or by the bombardment that ended it. It is a simple unlighted candle with 5 datapads with the list of citizens killed. and it symbolizes the lives that were prematurely ended and the knowledge that was lost. All non military personal that were killed in this incident or directly related to it in some way will also be honored in this memorial such as the defense attorney that took his own life after the fiasco that was the Aelita Trial and the two Chazakains killed in his suicidal killing spree. A Beatus rep is expected to add Gregory Jefferson Whethersbee III's name to the memorial.
It was designed and built by the Chazakain Government in the Chaziton National Park which has been recommissioned as a military park.
and will be dedicated at 19:00 CMT tonight. All members of the public are welcome to come and foreign diplomats are expected to be at the dedication. The Chaziton National Choir is expected to play/sing. The Military Leader of the expedition, Admiral Joaquim Nabuco is expected to make a speech along with other governmental officials and possibly foreign dignitaries.
We welcome our allies in the MI action to send a rep/come in person to this dedication or any other country with an embassy in Chaziton or anyone in general.
(occ if your nation happened to have lost any troops in these incidents, which i don't think anyone else did, your welcome to pm/telegraph me and I'll edit that you'll be adding their names in)(no assassination attempts without prior approval, this is meant to be a celebration/mourning of my soldiers lives and their sacrifice for their country and others.)
