Gewalt Industries National Headquarters, CEO's Office:
Alojz Kazimier closed his eyes, leaning back in his chair as he supressed the anger rising in him. Since he had become CEO of Gewalt Industries, the corporation that ruled Enkavia with an iron fist, things had been going great. At least, they had been until now.
"And why, James, are profits falling?" He asked, opening his eyes again to stare at the trembling man before him.
"Well sir." James Newton began, nervously straightening his tie. "Our growth into foreign markets has come to a near standstill. We have expanded into our close neighbors as much as possible, but seem to have reached maximum saturation levels within those nations, and as a landlocked nation have no feasible way to ship our products overseas."
"Well, Nagiyuma borders us to the east, what of sending our products through their ports? Does their government still deny us access to their markets?"
"Indeed sir, they aren't letting any of our products into the country." Newton was sweating heavily. Kazimier, like his predecessors, had acheived the position of CEO through a combination of cleverness, ruthlessness, and a total lack of any moral code, and had cut a bloody path to the top of the corporation, arranging the deaths of any who stood in his way. People generally did not wish to give such men ill news, and Newton was no exception.
Kazimier sat for a moment, pondering the situation, and slowly a sadistic grin spread over his face. "Tell me James, is Nagiyuma rich in natural resources?"
"Yes sir, they have an abundance of raw materials."
"And their military, would you say that it is in a state of readiness for conflict?"
"I don't think so sir." Newton said, a feeling of dread slowly coming over him as he began to grasp what Kazimier was getting at. "They are a rather peaceful nation, and havent been involved in any military engagements for a long time. Also, unlike us, they maintain a navy, which is a large drain on their military budget, and restricts the size of their army and, to a lesser extent, their air force."
"Exellent." Kazimier smiled. "You may go."
"Yes sir." Newton replied, bowing and hurrying out of the room.
Alojz Kazimier pressed a button on his desk, activating the intercom to his secretary's office. "Jackson?"
"Yes sir"
"Please summon the heads of the GI security forces to my office."
"They will be up shortly, sir."

Enkavian-Nagiyuman Border, six weeks later:
The barren, rolling hills that made up the southern portion of the border between the the nations of Enkavia and Nagiyuma were cloaked in red light as the sun began to slip under the horizon. A wild dog wandered along the deserted road that connected the two countries, sniffing the ground for something to eat or the scent of a small animal. It stopped sniffing, and lifted it's head up, perking it's ears up as a faint rumbling came from the west, slowly growing louder until it was a roar, and a massive line of Enkavian tanks slowly appeared over the horizon. Nearly six million men of the Gewalt Industries Security Forces, about a third of which had been "employed" only about five weeks previously as part of a draft, began to march across the border into Nagiyuma as hundreds of jets passed overhead.
