When the distress signal arrived it was too late, the IPN: Frontier had been destroyed by rebellious fighters during it's routine patrol around the system.
The Mirius colony was in full scale alert, they only had 2 patrol vessels and 600 fighters barely enough to protect the star-system from a full scale attack. The battle cruiser was all that was left. They called on the local Legionary Captain named Almerius Monran, he was the only hope in putting a end to this rebellion before it overwhelmed ex-qwelva space and got enough resources to threatened the Empire.
"Your mission is to hunt down the rebels, you can call on the other colonies and their resources to help you in this mission. Strike swift and without mercy young Captain because if you fail the Empire can face civil-war without a end. The rebels have several battleships and many frigates at there disposal and they can destroy this colony with one attack. If you fail to succeed you will find that you wont get work in Imperial Security"
"With what resources? you cannot expect to put down a rebellion with a fighter"
"Whatever you can muster, my colony must not full under rebel hands because that is the worse disgrace possible for a Governor"
"Whatever I can muster? you mean whoever is willing to join me on this suicide mission"
"I hope it's not suicide because our careers rest on it"
Almerius walks out of the room, Kirius Soran was a Governor without morals. This attack was not to destroy the rebels but give him time to leave the colony before it falls.
"What are our orders?" said one of his corporals
"Get my special ops team together, all 15 of them and tell them to meet me in dock 3. we are taking a Shuttle to the IPN:Nest where we are to send a message calling all volunteers against this threat"
The message as mentioned goes.
The Phenixican Empire has called a Call to Arms for the colones of Ex-Qwelva Space. Rebellion has been declared and the Empire has made it's first move to crush it. These Republican rebels cannot be allowed to get enough manpower to overthrow our authority otherwise they could expand and later pose a threat to the Empire itself. Meet me at the colony og Mirius if you wish to join us
