Volitaia City, East Galli District

The grim walls of the City shuttle tram rushed past the grotty fingerprint smeered windows, shaking the glass in its place and making all conversation in the room inaudible, only after the violent roar passed did the inhabitants settle, one in the corner brushed the orange artex from the top of his fedora hat, "You can do it then?" The man asked.
IndentAnother man was leant against the wall, he addressed the question by moving from his comfortable leaning position, "Elements of the goverment have already been infiltrated by our cause, destabilisation of the goverment and readyness of the populace to accept the new authority still need to be accquired." He sat on a grotty brown leather chair, "Both are issues which need to be resolved by the other cells, your own included." The man gave a sharp glance at the man sat in the corner wearing his long brimmed Fedora.
IndentAnother man, this one stood in the kitchen area walked over into the seating area, "Do not confuse our lack of movement with lazyness, it takes time to destabilise a goverment, a Fascist one even more so." He walked back into the kitchen, grabbing a mug, "I do agree that our cause is in the perilous situation of losing momentum, the longer we draw this out the more we chance with the Straznuk." The room nodded with agreement.

"A Days Duty for a Days Reward" The motto was streched over the doors of the goverment lobby, the sun poured in through the spider like steel and glass construct, forming an intense lattice of shadows cast upon Straznuk Officer Harvis, he stared up at the motto, waiting in the middle of the slow marble floor, brushing his free hand down his soft blue tie, a suit was not unusual to him, as Liason officer between the Straznuk Elite and Intelligence branches he had to give an impression of both formality and normality, a suit worked perfectly for both goals.
IndentA man in a grey suit had began staring at the motto next to Harvis, "Liason Officer right?" He asked, "Harvis? James Harvis?" The man asked, Harvis turned away from the impressive display and nodded, "The boss'll see you now, room three oh eight." The man pointed in an obscure direction on the third floor.
IndentDespite the amount of times Harvis had been in the Intelligence offices he had never been invited to the Boss's office, the urgent request they had put out for information must have done some damage to the country, all he knew is that he had a briefcase full of documents pertaining to a Thomas Lynn, a foreign ex pat who had opened fire on a random crowd killing one man before turning the gun on himself, the man had showed no previous signs of ill mental health and the Straznuk had passed it on as a case of extreme home sickness.
IndentHarvis knocked on the door, it was a smooth opaque wall which suddenly vanished, showing about five people inside the room, a buzzer went off and Harvis walked in, "Gentlemen, just on time, James Harvis, Liason officer with the Straznuk Elite." Harvis nodded, He looked at the Boss, unfamiliar to what he had expected the man still seemed youthful despite his age, he then tried to recognise some of the few faces in the room, they all seemed unfamiliar, he tried not to dwell on it too long, "Officer Harvis, what can you tell us about Thomas Lynn?"
IndentHarvis placed the leather briefcase on the desk, he opened it and took out a few sheets of stapled paper and a photograph of Thomas Lynn, "On May 18th expatriot Thomas Lynn took a P9 Pistol we believe to have been appropriated illegaly and began to fire upon the crowd amassed in Saan Galli square." He took out a criminal report and handed it around, "The act was investigated first by officers of the Trazdanin Storma until a link to a possible terrorist act was called into investigation when the case was passed on to the Elite Straznuk unit, investigation of Thomas's expenditures, apartment and known contacts did not reveal any links to terrorist activity and the case was closed with the final verdict being the severe depression moving to a new nation can bring." He closed the briefcase, through everyone in the room looked like they still had questions.
Indent"What of the victim?" A man asked, "Mr Johnathon White, did the Straznuk investigate any link between the two?" Harvis knew that this question was specifically put in place to trip him up, or otherwise show the ineptitude of the Elite unit, he thanked his over zealous work ethic and the depth of research he felt was necessary when briefing the Intelligence units
Indent"Mr White, no, that lead was not fully explored, the fact that Lynn had not made any effort to specifically target Mr White and his eventual suicide led us to believe the two were unrelated." He paused, "A search was performed on Mr White's property, we found nothing beyond what we expected of a Goverment official of his rank and priviledge." Here it came, the condescending half an hour of these pig headed intelligence operatives telling him what the real situation was.
IndentThe boss calmly flicked through the reports on Mr Lynn, "This isn't enough, Mr Harvis, in the initial investigation of Mr Lynn's ties to terrorism was a list of his regular contacts, behaivour and finances compiled?" Harvis dug into his briefcase, pulling out a collection of folders.
Indent"Everything that was called into question in the investigation, I hope it serves the Intelligence unit more than it did the Elite unit."
IndentThe boss began to flick through this new information, "Much better Mr Harvis, your presence here is not required any longer and you may leave at your discretion." Harvis was a little taken aback by the abrupt request for him to leave, but he knew that the intelligence agency requested privacy more than anything, leaving the room quietly and still slightly angry at being walled out.

"It's amazing, train just one among a collective to perform an act and they'll all want to do it." In a darkened room a man held down a cockroach under his tweezers, "In Collective A I have trained the Cockroaches to go through a maze, in Collective B this training is not present in the same maze, watch what happens when I place Specimin 13 from Collective A into Collective B." He dropped the cockroach into a glass container complexed by a series of glass dividers before standing, a man was stood by the wall his wide rimmed fedora hat only hinted at in the weak light.
IndentThe door opened for a second to let the two men leave, the light automatically shutting off, the still visible backs of the cockroaches began to follow a single roach as he progressed from one side of the container to the other.
Indent"Sir, I have neglected to mention before, but you're quite unusual." The hat wearing man commented, only reacting a smile from the insect enthusiast.
IndentThe two began to walk down the corridor, "I need not sanity, my position is only as the middle man, in the mean time I pursue an interest in phillosophy specifically that of our organisation, unusual to think that such a logically wonderful idea be so outright refused around the world, and what of you Sampson, I have seen your reserved stoicism, and yet you pursue a sport of violence, why?" He asked.
IndentSampson shifted his hat uncomfortably, "Now listen Doctor, Cockroaches are fine but I don't you getting in my head, I have a lot up there I want to keep up there." He shifted a little across the corridor trying to avoid proximity to the doctor.
Indent"As the child wishes to see the kite stay up there friend, aaah is glorious to think, what every child wishes for each christmas in the hope nobility will get them more presents will soon be obtained, I wonder if perhaps we could show it to the world on christmas." The Doctor expressed utter glee at the statement, "I say Sampson, what of your friend Lynn, I hear he was the first casualty of peace."
Indent"Not now Doctor, I'm already considering asking for a transfer on mental stability, don't make it emotional too." The doctor continued on happy as ever.
