The government of Brontianna wishes to outline the churches position in the nation with regards to influence on the democratic process of decision making.
The church of any denomination is not now, or will never be permitted to have influence on the law making and democratic process of this nation. Religion is divisive in nature pitting man against man, and this is something that this nation does not believe should augment the political and welfare systems.
The population as a whole is able to freely and without fear of persecution follow any religion they so choose. However a theocracy this is not, and as a secular government we feel we need to outline this now.
Spirituality is welcome, religion is welcome, but has no place in a fully functioning democratic nation.
