"Central Broadcasting now interrupts your regularly scheduled programing for this breaking news bulletin." Announced the computerized voice on millions of television screens.
"Hello, I'm Robert Klein and we have breaking news coming from the Atreidondian Colony of UDUG." Announced the Morning News anchor, "As most views will recall UDUG is the largest and most successful of Atreidondian settlements abroad, but is also home to a disproportionately large amount of conservatives- many fleeing the dominant liberalism on the home islands. It appears that rebellion has occurred, capping off a week of demonstration- both peaceful and violent. We believe- wait we are just getting this in- it appears that the Governor- Richard Harrison has been evacuated to an undisclosed location due to riots in the colonial capital and other cities. The leadership, military, and size of the rebellion is unknown at the moment, but it appears to be widespread. We'll keep you posted."

"We cannot let this stand!" yelled and infuriated General David Blackburn, Secretary of Defense. "If they can overthrow a colony tomorrow they could be marching on Jivid, Praier, or even Atreidondi itself! This crisis warrants immediate military action!"
"Well I think that it is really quite important to understand who 'they' is in this situation," chastised Peter Giovanni, Secretary of State, over a secure satellite feed. "We don't know how far this rebellion is. We don't know if it was an isolated incident, but I find it hardly plausible that there are sleeper cells around the country if our intelligence agencies are as good as you say around budget time, David. Besides, Tom has always been paranoid some cops probably just fired on protesters and it turned into a riot. It is still a serious issue, but a far cry from rebellion. We need to wait until we have more intelligence."
"Well at this point we can't do nothing, but we need to wait and see what happens," Solomon Berkowitz, President of The Atreidond Islands, "Order satellites and recon flights over UDUG and order local forces to dig in. Put the 2nd Fleet on standby, and we'll see how thing go from there. This meeting is adjourned."
OOC: UDUG is not an NPC it is a right wing country that a friend of mine runs. He is planning to run it as a right-wing dictatorship, so right-wing dictatorships here's a chance to welcome a new RPer into your ranks. As for me I play a center-left democracy with a strong navy and marines, medium air force, and national guard for the army.
