1. Introduction.
The Allied States of Ryeasia, or Ryeasia, is a federal constitutional republic made up of 60 states and a federal government. Located in the Pacific, most of the states are located on the mainland, though several small islands are a part of Ryeasia.
Recently, the Ryeasian economy has been going through a booming phase, with more and more nations opting to buy larger supplies of wheat and oil from the naturally rich Ryeasia. It seems to have avoided any slumps, and many experts are predicting the economy will become a powerhouse soon.
A former British colony, Ryeasia gained independence in 1955 following an agreement with British government officals, which gave Ryeasia total independence from foreign rule, making it a republic. Strangely, all the states are former colonies of their own, which provides to the answer to the commonly asked question 'why aren't the states of Ryeasia provinces?', as most of the now states wished to maintain a degree of self rule, and they got such.
Bordered by none, Ryeasia is one massive island, much like Australia. It is near the American state of Hawaii and New Zealand, also a former colony of the British Empire.
