(OOC: A nice little idea I had with Neo-Ixania, it is technically a Diplomatic event IC, and so this is not breaking any rules. If anyone higher in rank than myself decides otherwise, please inform me of such)

Princess Abigail sat on her bed in her room of the Palace, writing in her diary. A wide smile was on her petite face as she scribbled down the contents of her latest entry.
Being the only child of Emperor Nicholas and Empress Rachel, Abby (As she was called) had many reasons to be smiling: She was the Crown Princess, therefore she was destined to one day ascend to the throne. She also could have virtually everything she could want, and given that the people loved the monarchy, her position was secure.
All those reasons alone would be enough to make anyone a very happy person, but these were not why Abby was so cheerful.
She was smiling because last night, she had been on yet another successful date with her longtime boyfriend, Prince Zerin, cousin of the Empress of Neo-Ixania. Just the thought of the handsome prince made Abby cringe with delight and childish excitement.
Ever since his cousin, Empress Anastasia II let the young man stay in the Empire as an "Ambassador", he and Abby had gotten along famously. Although her innocence may have implied otherwise, it had already become apparent to virtually everyone in the Empire that Abby had fallen for the prince.
Abigail was tall for a twenty year old, she had very long, sable brown hair with green eyes and was fairly petite and had a voluptuous figure. Given her Greek and German ancestry, she had a large forehead, thick lock-like hair and small features.
Dressed in pink pajamas, the Princess turned her attention from her diary towards the long, red dress that she'd worn for her date the previous night; appreciating the fact her mother had given it to her as a gift for her last birthday. It had done its job well of making Zerin drool over her, and though Abby didn't fill it out quite like her mother, it still made her look good.
Turning back the pages to her earliest entry, the Princess viewed a photograph of her boyfriend and she standing in the Palace gardens on their very first date, four years earlier during her 16th birthday. Abby's smile widened as she looked upon her younger self, holding hands with Zerin as they both posed in front of the flag of the Empire.
"He's so handsome..." Abby thought, closing the book and holding it to her chest, "...and such a gentlemen."
Looking back, Abby remembered virtually every other suitor she'd met four years before was either not her type, or was only pursuing her for Political gain. She had gone through about three or four, extremely arrogant, sexist males before she finally settled on Zerin. Unlike those three or four, Zerin was humble, polite, charming and minded little, if at all for the fact she was the Crown Princess.
Now, Abby swooned and laid back on her bed as she thought more of her boyfriend. After a few seconds though, there came a knock at the door and it opened in short order. The Princess barely turned her head before she recognized her father; Emperor Nicholas.
"Good morning my little Princess." He said warmly, his deep voice had miraculously snapped her out of her thoughts. "Good morning daddy." Abby said sweetly as she sat up, turning to face her father.
Nicholas Geschke was a giant of a man; standing at an impressive six feet, three inches tall and with his large, sculpted muscles, he often towered over his subjects. Yet, his size and strength belied his gentle and kindly nature, for he was a ruler who genuinely cared about his people, a trait which he shared with his daughter.
However, first impressions showed he was a man who, while strong in heart and wise in thought, he lacked self-confidence and had a poorly concealed self-perfectionist streak. In spite of this, or perhaps because of it, he had purposely altered the constitution so that the crown shared power with the Senate.
In terms of appearance, he also had a large forehead, thick hair and well defined features. Unlike his daughter however, he wore his hair short and kept a trimmed mustache-beard combo that concealed a broad chin and wide mouth.
The Emperor was already dressed in a black business suit with a scarlet tie.
"Still thinking about Zerin?" The Emperor asked after a long moment of silence, "Yeah," Abby said, rubbing the back of her neck with embarrassment in her voice. Nicholas smiled, "You don't have to hide it Abby," He said, sitting down on her bed beside the girl.
With a tender expression, Nicholas wrapped his arm around his daughter's shoulders. "Your mother and I have seen how you act around him."
Abby's expression turned unreadable, a mask of careful blankness.
"And, we are very proud of you dearest." What her father said made Abby look up straight at the Emperor and into his brown eyes, "Zerin is a fine young man, and I am confident that he will be a fine Prince consort." Abby couldn't help but smile at this remark, "Daddy stop it." She said, giving him a light punch on the arm.
Just then, there came another knock at the door, this time, it was an Imperial Guard who entered the room with a serious expression. "Your Majesty," He said, placing his right fist to his chest and bowing his head low before the Emperor, as was the traditional greeting.
"Yes? What is it?" The Emperor asked, halting his playful behavior with his daughter and looking at the Guard with a worried expression. "You're required in the court; the Red Tide Mafia has struck again."
What the Guard said made both Nicholas and Abigail's hearts sink: Their country was currently conflicting with a group known as: "The Red Tide Mafia." In recent years, the Empire had begun expanding into lawless territories, encountering resistance only to warlords and occassional brigand tribes.
However, after securing these lands, the war-profiteers of the RTM had begun to strike at the Empire's Military installations. "I'll be with them in a minute." The Emperor said, sighing as he rose from the Princess' bed. "Abby, we'll talk about your relationship with Zerin later." Nicholas said noting Abby's dissapointed look. After giving her a reassuring promise, Nicholas made his way out of the room and was already on his way to the court.
Before the Guard could leave, Abby held him back, holding her hand up.
"Where is Zerin?"
