Princess Abigail sat on her bed in her room of the Palace, writing in her diary. A wide smile was on her petite face as she scribbled down the contents of her latest entry.

Being the only child of Emperor Nicholas and Empress Rachel, Abby (As she was called) had many reasons to be smiling: She was the Crown Princess, therefore she was destined to one day ascend to the throne. She also could have virtually everything she could want, and given that the people loved the monarchy, her position was secure.

All those reasons alone would be enough to make anyone a very happy person, but these were not why Abby was so cheerful.

She was smiling because last night, she had been on yet another successful date with her longtime boyfriend, Prince Zerin, cousin of the Empress of Neo-Ixania. Just the thought of the handsome prince made Abby cringe with delight and childish excitement.

Ever since his cousin, Empress Anastasia II let the young man stay in the Empire as an "Ambassador", he and Abby had gotten along famously. Although her innocence may have implied otherwise, it had already become apparent to virtually everyone in the Empire that Abby had fallen for the prince.

Abigail was tall for a twenty year old, she had very long, sable brown hair with green eyes and was fairly petite and had a voluptuous figure. Given her Greek and German ancestry, she had a large forehead, thick lock-like hair and small features.

Dressed in pink pajamas, the Princess turned her attention from her diary towards the long, red dress that she'd worn for her date the previous night; appreciating the fact her mother had given it to her as a gift for her last birthday. It had done its job well of making Zerin drool over her, and though Abby didn't fill it out quite like her mother, it still made her look good.

Turning back the pages to her earliest entry, the Princess viewed a photograph of her boyfriend and she standing in the Palace gardens on their very first date, four years earlier during her 16th birthday. Abby's smile widened as she looked upon her younger self, holding hands with Zerin as they both posed in front of the flag of the Empire.

"He's so handsome..." Abby thought, closing the book and holding it to her chest, "...and such a gentlemen."

Looking back, Abby remembered virtually every other suitor she'd met four years before was either not her type, or was only pursuing her for Political gain. She had gone through about three or four, extremely arrogant, sexist males before she finally settled on Zerin. Unlike those three or four, Zerin was humble, polite, charming and minded little, if at all for the fact she was the Crown Princess.

Now, Abby swooned and laid back on her bed as she thought more of her boyfriend. After a few seconds though, there came a knock at the door and it opened in short order. The Princess barely turned her head before she recognized her father; Emperor Nicholas.

"Good morning my little Princess." He said warmly, his deep voice had miraculously snapped her out of her thoughts. "Good morning daddy." Abby said sweetly as she sat up, turning to face her father.

Nicholas Geschke was a giant of a man; standing at an impressive six feet, three inches tall and with his large, sculpted muscles, he often towered over his subjects. Yet, his size and strength belied his gentle and kindly nature, for he was a ruler who genuinely cared about his people, a trait which he shared with his daughter.

However, first impressions showed he was a man who, while strong in heart and wise in thought, he lacked self-confidence and had a poorly concealed self-perfectionist streak. In spite of this, or perhaps because of it, he had purposely altered the constitution so that the crown shared power with the Senate.

In terms of appearance, he also had a large forehead, thick hair and well defined features. Unlike his daughter however, he wore his hair short and kept a trimmed mustache-beard combo that concealed a broad chin and wide mouth.

The Emperor was already dressed in a black business suit with a scarlet tie.

"Still thinking about Zerin?" The Emperor asked after a long moment of silence, "Yeah," Abby said, rubbing the back of her neck with embarrassment in her voice. Nicholas smiled, "You don't have to hide it Abby," He said, sitting down on her bed beside the girl.

With a tender expression, Nicholas wrapped his arm around his daughter's shoulders. "Your mother and I have seen how you act around him."

Abby's expression turned unreadable, a mask of careful blankness.

"And, we are very proud of you dearest." What her father said made Abby look up straight at the Emperor and into his brown eyes, "Zerin is a fine young man, and I am confident that he will be a fine Prince consort." Abby couldn't help but smile at this remark, "Daddy stop it." She said, giving him a light punch on the arm.

Just then, there came another knock at the door, this time, it was an Imperial Guard who entered the room with a serious expression. "Your Majesty," He said, placing his right fist to his chest and bowing his head low before the Emperor, as was the traditional greeting.

"Yes? What is it?" The Emperor asked, halting his playful behavior with his daughter and looking at the Guard with a worried expression. "You're required in the court; the Red Tide Mafia has struck again."

What the Guard said made both Nicholas and Abigail's hearts sink: Their country was currently conflicting with a group known as: "The Red Tide Mafia." In recent years, the Empire had begun expanding into lawless territories, encountering resistance only to warlords and occassional brigand tribes.

However, after securing these lands, the war-profiteers of the RTM had begun to strike at the Empire's Military installations. "I'll be with them in a minute." The Emperor said, sighing as he rose from the Princess' bed. "Abby, we'll talk about your relationship with Zerin later." Nicholas said noting Abby's dissapointed look. After giving her a reassuring promise, Nicholas made his way out of the room and was already on his way to the court.

Before the Guard could leave, Abby held him back, holding her hand up.

"Where is Zerin?"

Zerin walked down the halls of the mansion he had obtained as his very own living quarters with a smile as he relished the idea of having a mansion entirely to his still carefree self. He had always been known to be carefree though he did sincerely care for others with whom he had much affinity such as his cousin. While he walked down the halls of the mansion, he remembered that he had been quite amorous towards Princess Abigail upon whom he had lavished his love and appreciation. Although he had been once said to have been afflicted with a weakness for beautiful women, Abigail had been the only one that he could stick with. He could easily remember all the fun he had with her and all the jokes that his acquaintances would spout at him. In one particular occassion, one of them even suggested that Zerin somehow deflower Abigail but Zerin, being ever-so-chivalrous, asked him to shut his mouth. Besides, he said, there's time for carnal pleasures and the man just laughed. Would Zerin get those with Abigail? Zerin, though, didn't concern himself with that.

Zerin had definately fallen in love with Abigail and it wasn't hard for him to accept that he was in love nor was it hard for others to see that he was, indeed, madly in love with Abigail. His room was filled with tokens he had recieved from his darling Abby and his mind was filled with her image and, as well, a vow that he would eventually propose marriage to Abigail once the time proved to be right. Zerin eventually found himself out of the mansion, into the garden, where he breathed the fresh air and smiled before giving off a boisterous laugh. He had it all. He was a prince, he had a girlfriend, he had wealth and a mansion. What more could anything ask? There was something, though, that he lacked: Abigail's presence.

Bumped. I'm assuming Zerin is back in Ixania, Geschke, so Abby could just call for him to come to your nation. ;)

~The next morning~

"And that's why I'd like to go to Ixania." Abby finished, her parents sitting before her on their respective thrones in the Great Hall of the Palace. Empress Rachel, her mother stirred as she listened in on the last of her daughter's explination. Abby had just explained how she'd been thinking about visiting Neo-Ixania, and how much it would mean not only to her and her boyfriend, but also to the nation.

Ever since Abby and Zerin started dating, the two nations had been on good terms: Having the heir-apparent visiting the other country might attract some unwanted media attention, but it would also give her a chance to visit her boyfriend and to see his beloved country.

"Well, you're sure this is what you want Abby?" The Empress asked, gently brushing her long, brown hair out of her eyes. The Princess slowly nodded, giving her the "I'm sure of myself" look. Rachel turned to her husband for support, hoping he would encourage Abby to be reasonable. However, the Emperor said nothing: He merely stroked his beard, deep in thought.

Finally, he snapped his fingers and cleared his throat.

"Abby, you are my daughter. I am very proud to have you as my heir, and I believe that going to Ixania would be dangerous..." He said, pausing. What her father said made Abby's heart sink: She'd been hoping and praying for a chance to visit her boyfriend once again, and to see his nation would be a great learning experience.

She was about to protest and Rachel was about to speak when the Emperor held up his left hand, signaling for them to halt.

"...But, I also believe that you would be best staying with Zerin the entire time."

Abby's face lit right up, "You mean I...?" She didn't even get a chance to finish; the Emperor had leaned right back in his throne and smiled warmly at her. However, his concentration was broken when the doors of the Great Hall were thrown widely open and inside walked several of his advisors.

"Hail your Majesty!" The lead figure said, bowing before the Emperor. "Yes, yes, rise." Nicholas motioned him up: "The RTM has struck once more. This time in St. Gabriel Province." He reported, "They attacked the Airport and both port-cities. There are reports of several killed in every area." The Emperor angrily slammed his fist against the armrest of his throne, "Damn!" He shouted.

Everyone in the room was taken aback by Nicholas' rare display of anger. He normally was more prudent, but clearly, this time the RTM had gone too far. St. Gabriel's Province was one of their colony states, it also happened to be one of their main suppliers of iron ore; without the use of the ports, the iron and steel-making industry would be out of action for weeks.

The Emperor attempted to calm himself back down as Empress Rachel stood up from her throne. "We cannot allow these attacks to continue: Let us put the Military on alert and send a repair crew to help fix the damage." Though she spoke decisively, Nicholas raised his hand once again.

"No, alerting the Military would serve only to frighten and alarm the populace." He said, his voice returning to normal, "So, let us instead make a public statement explaining the situation, and encourage them not to panic."

Then, he turned back to his beloved daughter, who had been surprisingly patient with the whole mess. "Send a telegram to the Empress of Neo-Ixania, and tell her my daughter shall be spending one week in her country to visit her cousin, Prince Zerin." He ordered, two Guards nodding and running off to fulfill his orders.

"And, let us provide my daughter with an escort of Imperial Guard to take her to Neo-Ixania." The advisor nodded, "Yes, your Majesty!" Then, he marched out of the room, the rest of the Guards following in tow and closing the doors behind them.

"Dear," Empress Rachel spoke up, "Shouldn't we at least let the Empress of Neo-Ixania know about this?" She asked, referring to the current situation. "No," The Emperor replied, "We will not tell her or Zerin: It would just trouble them if we did."

Then, Nicholas turned back to the Princess, who was biting her lower lip uncomfortably. "And besides, this is supposed to allow Abby to relax and unwind with her boyfriend, is it not?" The smile she was known for throughout the Empire returned to the Princess' face and without thinking, she ran forward and hugged her father.

"Thank you daddy!" She yelled, clearly childishly excited.

Nicholas couldn't help but wrap his arms around his daughter for a long moment, feeling her like this reminded him of when she was just a baby and he held her close. But Abby was a woman now, and she had to make her own decisions, especially if she was to learn to one day ascend the throne and become the Empire's leader.

As Rachel rose from her seat to embrace their child, Nicholas looked at Abby with concern. "Abby?" He asked, "You might want to go and pack your things, or else you'll be in a hurry when the time comes to leave!"

She nodded, hugged the Empress and left them without another word. Rachel turned to her husband as he watched their child leave. The Emperor had a particular look of please as he slumped back into his throne. "It seems our little girl is all grown up now." Rachel said, "Yeah...it makes me so proud," Nicholas replied, "I'm going to miss her, but I love seeing a smile on her face."

Rachel then smirked and leaned next to her husband's throne, putting her hands onto his wrist, "Doesn't this remind you of when we were dating?" She asked, "You used to skip court meetings just to be with me."

The Emperor slowly turned to face his Empress and gave her a kiss on the forehead, "And, I'd do it all again, if we had the time." He said, hot love burning through him as he shared a tender kiss with Rachel.

Zerin woke up from his slumber with a groggy moan and the rubbing of his eyes before walking in his pajamas to the nearby bathroom so he could freshen up and make himself look more lively then he had been. It did not take him long to change into some suitable clothes before rushing off to have breakfast which had been delicious and filling as any royal breakfast would have been. As the day began, Zerin read over the newspaper articles about the possibility of the establishment of an Ixanian Protectorate Government over the Ryou Black Islands. He felt that it was quite the amusing idea but he didn't know if ODECON would have allowed his beloved homeland to gain such control nor did he know what his reigning cousin was thinking about the idea. He then went onto reading about various other articles such as a notice about the upcoming animation convention which showcased the talents of Ixanian animators and the occassional humourous maxims and rants of single women and elderly musings makers whose work was published as part of the news.

As he was eating his breakfast while reading an entertaining satirical article on how to get a woman to hate you rather than appreciate your charm, Zerin was interrupted by a messenger who brought with him a letter from the Empress. He took it into his hands and studied it with a smile before handing it back to the messenger while celebrating the knowledge that he'd have the love of his life in Ixania. He was really hopeful that he could show her all there was to know about Ixania and, indeed, he contemplated whether or not he'd get into bed with Abigail. He wasn't a lewd man but, indeed, the constant premarital sexual jokes of his acquaintances made him wonder if Abigail wanted that. He did have a recurring memory of seeing her breasts bouncing once that made him quite pleasured.

Zerin, however, didn't let that overcome his beloved code of honor which he strove to live in accordance with. He knew, as well, that Abigail was to be given the keys to a countryside mansion and, indeed, Zerin was going to be staying there with her so they'd always be close, perhaps very close, and just to be sure, without any intention to tell Abigail, he procured some condoms for use in case it got that far. One must always be prepared, he thought, for the sake of one's health. Sex came with a catch, someone once said. All in all, Zerin was hoping that Abigail would arrive soon. He wanted to show her Ixania and, simply, he just wanted to be with her again.

OOC: If you want Zerin and Abigail to get all :fluffle: then I'm perfectly fine with that; he's only making sure he has the necessary equipment, so to speak, because those jokes and jests people make about Abigail make him wonder about such things. It's part of a side story I decided to do to spice things up. He knows she's a good girl but what's to say she doesn't think about such things either? Anywho, just send Abigail over and I'll proceed to get her to the country mansion. Also, can I assume the Mafia angle will be used often in this? Will you be planning a sidestory or something?

Abby stepped through the sliding glass doors of the airport and looked up at the viewscreen depicting the arriving and departing list. As her dark brown eyes viewed, "Neo-Ixania" she felt her heart skip a beat. The Princess was dressed modestly; tan khaki shorts, matching shirt, a black headband in her hair.

She wore as well, her most beloved possession: A necklace with a small golden heart that read, "My Angel." It had been a gift from Zerin for her twentieth birthday, and she'd cherished it from the moment that she'd seen it.

As the Princess made her way towards the nearest entrance to the central hub, she realized just how busy the airport actually was. The whole place was crowded; dozens of people walked about, either alone or in pairs, they minded their own business.

As Abby made her way past the windows that allowed passers a view of the planes waiting outside, Abby's mind began to wander. She thought of Zerin of course, but also wondered how much he'd changed from the last time she'd seen him. She even wondered if he'd be surprised to hear how she was willing to, "Experiment" with him.

Just the thought of that made Abby giggle, and the Princess smiled and tilted her head backwards. Abby made her way towards the nearest entrance, stepped in line and waited.

"Okay Abby," She thought to herself, "You're a grown woman now: Daddy, won't mind to hear you had a little 'fun' with Zerin while you were gone!" She had a mischievious smile about her as she handed in her ticket to the worker and stepped onto the plane.

Then, after she'd found herself walking down the plane's aisle, she already could anticipate this was going to be a trip worth remembering.

Emperor Nicholas sat upon his throne as he read the contents of the letter from Anastasia II of Neo-Ixania. As his eyes flew across the page, he could already sense that his beloved daughter would have a grand time meeting the Empress. Even though he'd only read about her in her letters, and from what Zerin had told him, he knew the Empress loved her people very much.

It was a trait that he shared. Though Abby had indeed matured much over all this time, he knew that having a chance to meet with the Empress of his closest ally would be a veritable maelstrom of learning experiences for them both.

"My little girl is all grown up." He thought, rising from his throne and walking towards the doors with a proud smile on his face.

Many foreign princes and princesses had visited the Ixanian Empire with some of them settling down to make a family with their Ixanian counterparts in the House of Schverzinski which still reigned with the benevolent and iron fist. To see that Princess Abigail would be visiting Ixania wasn't anything new and not many people could care enough about it because they knew that it was really a matter for the Empress and Prince Zerin to worry about. The Empress would need to worry about whether or not Abigail was satisfied while Zerin would need to worry about whether or not Abigail's heart was firmly stuck in loyalty to him. He was secure about that, yes, but you could never trust anyone, right?

While the Empress was returning from a children's hospital which had invited her to meet the children after she donated money out of her own pocket to help them and their families out, Zerin stood stoically in his cousin's palace while the Empress' pet husky stood at his side with his tail wagging quite rapidly along the ground. Zerin smiled. He felt quite happy that Abigail would be visiting him. He wondered how far they'd go on this visit. No one knew about it but he had procured some condoms for the week and kept them stashed away so that no one would find them. He wanted to make sure that, if they were going to get in the business, that they were prepared. He didn't want to get her pregnant or sick at all; and it was a bit interesting to think about how Abigail would look....but before he could finalize that sensual thought in his mind, he recieved a message that the "Lady Abigail" had arrived at the airport and that his cousin, the Empress, had returned home as evidenced by the husky running rapidly to his master which made Zerin smile.

Zerin walked to greet his cousin and then told her about the arrival of the Princess which made the Empress smile whilst telling officials to see to it that Abigail Geschke was well recieved. Anastasia knew his cousin's heart well. She knew that many in her family were finding someone to love. Zaneta found James, Zerin found Abigail, and she....well she hadn't found that special someone yet but she would. Zerin reassured her of that so many times.

A motorcade pulled up at the airport where Abigail was and, when she was found, the officials went through the standard routine as they helped her into the limosuine which subsequently sped off towards the Empress' palace. It did not take too long for her to get to the palace only to be greeted by what looked to be an old butler with a husky at his side. "You must be Miss Geschke. Welcome to the Imperial Palace. Her Majesty is waiting for you. Don't mind the dog. He is a faithful servant of Her Majesty; has been since he was a pup."

Neo-Ixania, you have my sincerest and most humble apologies. I've been too busy with my real life to find any time for NS, and so, I have no choice but to stop coming. I may not know you very well, but I've had so much fun: I'm really sorry.

As a parting gift, you hence are allowed to use any of my characters, including Abby: You can just say what I told you, with Abby and Zerin getting married and having children. I am really sorry, my friend, but I can't continue coming here.

With a heavy heart, and a farewell:

Nicholas Geschke.
