I am thinking about starting a conspiracy RP involving an underground war between anarchists and authoritarians (both groups would be evil, contrary to any books which might try to fool you!). It would have aliens, assassinations, cover-ups, the Illuminati, the occult, the CIA, brainwashing, ect. Tongue-in-cheek in-humor combined with facts enough to make one laugh in the day and stay awake at night; this could be epic.

If anyone is interested, she should put on her tinfoil hat and say so!

I'd be up for this. All sounds very interesting. And anyway, I'm already up at night listening to Coast to Coast AM with George Noory.

It looks like we have start. This RP is going to be steeped in mystery and betrayal; post what is (apparently!) known to the rest of us about the character you will play, and remember that anything can happen. Is he a scientist working in area 51? Is he a banker who becomes unwillingly involved in all this business, later to find he is the son of aliens? Is she in charge of conspiracy-theory-conventions, but really a government agent leading persons on the wrong track?

Tell about your character, and I will develop a setting which will incorporate everyone's creativity.

Real (?) world. There are plenty of famous conspiracy theories to draw from--and others, more sinister....

TPE, you should use your own NS as a setting for this RP, and maybe it could be a good opportunity to develop its concept as well. For example I created an entire concept out of this in the link of my sig called "Invisible Network". Otherwise it would be only a matter of time before a nark sees and reports it as a "Non NS related RP".

However, fortunately nothing forbids you from creating a NS inspired on the Illuminatus! Trilogy and on the conspiracy theories of the Internet, or of adding them to the background of your NS.

Bio: Paranoid and delusional, these are two words most people would use to describe him. Has managed to keep a weblog on whatever delusion is on his mind at the time despite the RedWord system by using a bizarre but readable code of his own invention and only ever logging on in cyber cafes. His blog has been deleted several times and he has an arrest warrant issued against his pseudonym.

Bio: Bill Leff is the director of H.A.R.T.. He Doesn't mind doing the dirty work himself. He is wanted in many nations, for many things. He has been tried many times for various crimes, but never convicted. It is unknown what H.A.R.T. does, or who oversees it, however, the name H.A.R.T., and it's operatives come up quite often in when dealing with those who have encountered strange events, or sightings.

Physical Description: Sickeningly hansom, this kid's whole body screams "POPULAR" everywhere he goes.

Profile: Conz was raised in a royal family in Parkus, and he had everything: looks, genius (no-one would guess how smart he was by looking at him, considering he was the living embodiment of what every boy in high-school wanted to be, and intelligence generally had little to do with that), money, popularity. He drove a car that most persons could not buy with their life savings. Yet he lost his favorite possession due to a blunder he never dreamed of--honesty. The girl he loved (amazingly, they had openly declared their love for one-another two years ago, and their relationship had lasted four years without any major problems thus far), the the most beautiful and intelligent girl in his school, the cherry on his fairy-tale ice cream; she has declared their love no more. Why? Becuase one night, while he, his lover, his friend, and his friend's "girlfriend" were all having dinner together...and it went something like this:

Conz's friend: *leans over to his own "girlfriend"* and says: "Baby, I wouldn't trade ya for the world" (she giggled).

Conz's lover: *looks into her dearest's eyes* "I would not trade you for the world, either".

Unfortunately for Conz, when he was prompted to offer a return like verbal gesture, he refused to do so, saying that although love was truly his, he would have to pass-it-up for the world. When it was discovered that he was serious, the most consistent relationship ever to happen in the (private) school "broke-up", and consequently made all the gossip. Tyspet became a depressed mess, rejected the hundreds of offers from girls dying to do whatever he wanted now that he was "single", and lost interest in his life, which caused his popularity to plummet. His friend, after waiting a number of days, approached him and told him that the whole horrible scenario was a test, and that he worked for an organization which wanted kids just like Conz in it: "You are a perfect member, my friend--except for that dreadful honesty, which will have to go." Tyspet was intrigued, and so became involved in the greatest and most sinister thing that has been happening since (before?) humans existed.

Whenever, wherever, and however you want. You can relate it to my post if you want to (is it your character who has the note? are we being mislead into believing it is?); it could be reality or it could be a mind-control dream (unbeknown to the readers!). This a very free RP.
