...The elections this year, however, will not be decided by the people of Niraamaya, but rather by the international community, due to a bill passed unanimously by Parliament yesterday morning, as the current president is much too popular with the population. To illustrate this fact, these are the approval ratings for each party:
Liberal Party: 91.8% (President Amitabho Chattopadhyay) MIG/SG
Worker's Party: 7.2% (Presidential Candidate Bhaya Chatterjee) MIG/IND
Conservative Party: 0.9% (Presidential Candidate Chandragupta Maurya) LOC
The remaining 0.1% belongs to the Fascist Party, and if it is not elected in this year, it will cease to exist, as a minimum 0.5% is a requirement after 5 years of being a party.
(OOC: At least 10 votes will be needed.)
OOC: Great idea for the platforms. I'll list them now. And about being a very bad idea, what insane fool parliament allow the same party to be in power for 38 years?
IC:
The platforms are as follows:
Liberal Party
Since the very first election, the Liberal Party has dominated. It's leader is Amitabho Chattopadhyay, who was 11 when he was elected due to a tie between the other two parties and the fact that the Constitution does not specify an age limit.
He quickly proved his competency.
His promises are to:
*Increase military funding.
*Increase Law and Order funding.
*Decrease Social Welfare funding.
*Increase Education funding.
*Increase civil and political rights.
*Open up trade and commerce.
*Improve animal's rights.
*Improve human rights globally.
*Increase worker's rights.
Worker's Party
It has been second by a huge difference in the polls since the second elections. The WP candidate is Bhaya Chatterjee, and he promises to:
*Increase Social Welfare funding.
*Decrease Military funding.
*Increase worker's rights.
*Increase human rights globally.
*Close up trade and commerce.
Conservative Party
Avoiding being declared nonexistent by a margin of 0.4% ever since the fifth election, it's candidate is Chandragupta Maurya. He says he will:
*Increase Military funding.
*Decrease Education funding.
*Open up the country for trade and commerce.
*Illegalize all forms of medicine other than traditional ones.
*Increase Animal's rights.
OOC: I'll put the Fascist party up later, I'm tired.
