The Holy Empire of Kingarmy would like to announce the creation of the internationnal athenic commitee (IAC). This is a sport federation in which the world's top athletes to compete for first in physical and mentally challenging activities. The IAC is currently holding elections for thier first president.

The mission of the IAC is to promote Athenism throughout the world and to lead the Athenic Movement.

The IAC's role is to:

Encourage and support the promotion of ethics in sport as well as education of youth through competative sporting.

Encourage and support the organization, development and coordination of sport and sports competitions;

Ensure the regular celebration of the Athenic Games;
Cooperate with the competent public or private organizations and authorities to promote peace

Encourage and support the promotion of women in sport at all levels and in all structures with a view to implementing the principle of equality of men and women;

Lead the fight against doping in sport;

Encourage and support measures protecting the health of athletes;

Oppose any political or commercial abuse of sport and athletes;

Encourage and support the efforts of sports organizations and public authorities to provide for the social and professional future of athletes;

Encourage and support the development of sport for all;

Encourage and support a responsible concern for environmental issues, to promote sustainable development in sport and to require that the Athenic Games are held accordingly;

Promote a positive legacy from the Athenic Games to the host cities and host countries;

Encourage and support initiatives blending sport with culture and education;

OOC: by representative, I mean ambassador, think of it as the U.N. for sports. And IAC elections is if you want to be president of the association.

OOC: it's not athletic, the olympics are based on the city of olympia, so I decided to call it the Athenics based on Athens.

OOC: For your information, there have already been several sets of "Olympic Games" (Summer and Winter) held in the 'NationStates' sub-forum -- most recently in this thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=562141) -- and a host-nation has already been approved for the next Winter games in that series...
Not that that has to rule out the existence of any rival Games such as yours, of course, but I thought that you might find the other ones interesting.

Yeah, I just realised that when I remembered there we're other forums on this site. Anyway, I wanna make a documentary on the (ns) world's fattest people (comparing nations.) It's gonna be called fat man eating sausage, named after people at my school who oppose the student led association. :D Be sure to drop by 'n' post.
