[OoC; Haven't been here in a while. Figured I might as well introduce my country. Makes things a bit easier for me. Sorry to say, but any old embassies have been wiped.]
As the hurricane slowly sailed west, the archipelago was revealed to the satellite, hovering far above the islands in orbit. And so, with the first hurricane of the season already having arrived, the nation of Heirosoloa prepared for a long and windy season. But when the citizens were told that they were revealing themselves to the outside world, panic, anger, and rioting occurred. They had lived for so long away from the rest of the public eye. Who knows how the world had changed, or how it would change Heirosoloa. However, as the day of 'great change' was pushed back time and time again, the population slowly began to relax, thinking that their concerns were silly; the nation would never reveal itself. Nevertheless, it was still coming, and it arrived, amid resurfacing fear.
So when Prime Minister Chance Skii, Lord of the Icy Jungles, Supreme Chancellor of the Islands of Commerce, and Master Fisherman, sat down behind his microphones, the press erupted in questions, unable to contain their excitement.

"Hello. I am here today to announce Heirosoloa's presence to the rest of the world. And whether or not you support me, all of you know what an important day this is. Now. Before the global broadcast, are there any questions." Chance surveyed the audience with his unseeing eyes, taking in as much as he could with his limited abilities.
"Minister Skii, what prompted you to make this decision?" A faceless reporter nervously looked from his notepad to the Prime Minister.
"A combination of things. In the wake of the first Hurricane of the season, we can tell that either we need to progress, or we will be washed away by the very winds that carried us here. And in order to progress fast enough, we need to see the innovations of the outside world. And quite frankly, we may need their help in the future, and the first step to getting it would be to actually get to know them."
The press conference seemed to drag on for the citizens glued to the television, the government aides standing off tot he side watching their paycheck signer talk, for the reporters asking questions, and most importantly, for Chance. So when he announced that it was time, a hush seemed to fall over all of the island of Heirosoloa.

"Hello. I am Chance Skii, and I might just be your new neighbor, metaphorically. For many years Heirosoloa has shied away from the public eye, using the omnipresent fog and dangerous weather to drive away explorers. But now we welcome you. Because we have decided that too long have we gone with the innovation and help the rest of the world provides. Too long have we been cooped up in our islands. And too long have we been running from these hurricanes that plague us. So we are ready to see you. We are ready to accept you, or deny you, and all the joys and sorrows it will bring. We of Heirosoloa raise our hands in the air collectively, and ready ourselves use them to smash them upon you, or to use them to clasp our hands together and create a firm, lasting alliance. If you need to contact us, simply retrace this broadcast and send out your response. With hopes for alliance, good night." And with that Chance stood up and walked off stage quietly, where he would shuffle to his limousine and mumble about foreign politics.
