Saar-Silverda, Great Kirav

Half a year ago, Emperor Irasur Seawind was presumed killed in a plane crash in a remote corner of the Pelagic Ocean while returning from a visit to the Colony of Thenrya. His wife, Víoleta, and seven others were lost as well.

No longer.

Seawind and five of the other passengers, including Víoleta Seawind, survived the crash and drifted fortunately enough to a partly-submerged reef, where they were spotted by fishermen of and rescued. They were hosted by the Bronze-Age island community from whence the trawlers had come, and, after three months, convinced their ruler to provide them transportation to the nearest continental landmass, which was 500km away. There, Seawind has said, the Kiravians were able to find their way to a more technologically advanced area and contact the Imperial Navy.

All six survivors have arrived safely in Saar-Silverda, and are en-route to Kartika, where Sèr Seawind shall elabourate upon his misadventure.

It is uncertain whether Seawind will resume his tenure as Emperor, as Emperor-Regent Lord John Blackfield was expected to be granted the full powers of the Imperacy.

We are glad you are OK. Since you have just recently gotten back from such a traumatic event, we have dispatched 15 marines, to place themselves as your personal bodyguard. They are now officially under your command

We thank the government of Avoya for their concern for Sèr Seawind's security. However, he is already protected by the Imperatorial Guard, and is safely within KE territory.

Our apologies, but we fail to see how military education furthers the creation of embassies.

they were not meant to be connected. we would like to have embassies around the world, and we would also like our allies to be more efficient militarily. If you would like us to withdraw the troops, we are happy to do so, but we merely wanted you to be more able to deal with threats.

Euphova was abuzz with the news of the return of Seawind. Not even the film studios of Beausoliel could come up with a story this out there. But more important was the reaction in the government district. Here, for months now, the foreign ministry had been formulating policy decisions around the assumption that Blakfeld would be the ruler of Kirav, however, this news threw everything into flux. The next week would prove crucial in deciding what steps Mephras would take diplomatically towards Kirav. Thousands of pages of briefs, hours upon hours of research and meetings, might in a few days time be all wasted as a new plan would need to be constructed.

For now, the plan was to congratulate, and wait. A quick well wishing was cobbled together by the Empress herself, and sent out with diplomatic approval.

Dearest Emperor Seawind,

I was overjoyed to hear of your safe return to your home provinces of Kirav. No doubt these past months have been a horrible ordeal for you, your wife, and those who accompanied you. It is truly a wondrous miracle that you have returned, and I, for all of Mephras, wish both you and your family a speedy recovery and return to your rightful place within your empire, as you see fit.

Warmest Regards,

Subject: Emperor Kirav's Survival

The news of Emperor Kirav's survival is clearly a matter of rejoicing. That the Emperor and his consort were able to escape this disaster without injury is beyond the wildest springs of imagination. That my be, but for the people of Kirav, this must be news to be taken with glad hearts, for a nation is diminished by the deaths of its rulers.

The Emperor's progeny however, would benefit the most from the survival of their mother and father. The tragedy of a parent's death has been lifted from their lives, and for that the people of Emperatium Drakonicum can only be grateful. The stability of family life brings out the best in the successors to the ascendancy.
